Beaverton police say a 45-year-old man from a group home left this morning to run some errands and has not returned.
Marc Aaron Mahar is a resident at a group home at 10120 SW Cynthia Street. He left the home at around 9:30 a.m., using TriMet and was supposed to return to the group home at 1:30 p.m. Officials at the home contacted the police this afternoon to report him overdue.
Police said Mahar takes medication for mental disabilities and anxiety, but has not had his evening dose.
Without medication he can appear delusional, anxious, antagonistic or disoriented.. Mahar is six feet-one inches tall, 265 pounds with black and grey hair, blue eyes; he is clean shaven.
He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, baseball cap, sweat pants and was carrying a black backpack.
Mahar planned to travel around the Beaverton and Portland areas, and does not have any other social affiliations outside the group home. Anyone with information regarding Mahar's whereabouts is asked to call the Beaverton Police Department at 503-629-0111, or their local police agency.
