St. Paul police spokesman Andy Skoogman said a woman called 911 when she saw the boy playing in the street at the corner of Hazel Street N. and Stillwater Avenue about 9 p.m. She told police that a car had to stop to avoid hitting the boy, and that the boy's father was drinking inside the bar. She said she had also seen him drinking at a bar across the street, with the boy with him, earlier in the evening
As heartbreaking as these stories are, I am so happy to read about more people (strangers) getting involved and protecting/saving our precious children from harm.
