This happened in the next town over from me, and it's way too close to home. Poor baby, failed by so many!

This happens more than we'd like to think. It's only years or decades later when a sibling or other family member starts asking questions that it's brought to light. The Adam Herrman case is one I can think of off the top of my head.

I firmly believe that this would have happened to Caylee, if Cindy hadn't of freaked out and called 911. They would have explained it away as an adoption or something.

It's being said by someone that knows the family that the parental units claimed that the baby was living out of state with the father's family.:(
4 older kids in the house, why was the baby "sent away"? Did noone question this?

Aaron Thompson from Colorado is another case. IIRC, she was missing over two years before it was uncovered.

Did they ever find her body? There have been so many cases over the years that I have been on WS, it's hard to remember the details.

Sadly no. Her father was recently sentenced to 80 years for child abuse.

They said his remains were placed in a metal barrel and burned.

Wednesday evening the crime scene van was back up to an aluminum shed on the property.

Investigators concentrated much of their search in the back of the home where they collected evidence.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said she received from police a small paper bag with what appear to be little pieces of bones.
