Missing child information: Joshua Davis, 18 months old, 2ft tall, 30lbs.(see attached photo), last seen wearing a blue and red long sleeve shirt and a grey long sleeve t-shirt, a beige and white onesy and beige jeans, and black and white socks.

Joshua Davis, Jr., age 18 mos., was last seen on Friday, February 4, 2011, in the 2600 block of Savannah Hill Circle. Joshua was last seen wearing a red and blue long-sleeve shirt, a gray long-sleeve t-shirt, a white and beige one piece, beige jeans and black and white socks.

Although police officials have questioned Joshua’s parents, Sabrina Benitez, 21, and Josh Davis, 23, other family members present at the time of Joshua’s disappearance and residents in the Savannah Hill Circle neighborhood, family friends are suspicious of a neighbor.The Texas Department of Public Safety’s sex offender registry lists five people who live within a one-mile radius of the house, including one man on Savannah Hill Circle.
“The sex offender has been interviewed, and we have also conducted searches on his residence and vehicle. As of right now, we have nothing to believe he’s involved in this case,” Penshorn said.
Family friend Lee Jackson said, “There was one of (Joshua’s) toy balls found at the end of the block. It was on top of some mailboxes. There’s no way he got it up there by himself.”

The search continued Tuesday for 18-month-old Joshua Davis Jr. of New Braunfels, but with the team leading the investigation - including personnel from the FBI and the Texas Rangers - changing its focus once again.
"Although we are still searching, our primary focus is shifting more towards the investigation aspect," said New Braunfels Police Department Lt. Michael Penshorn. "We are investigating to find out exactly what happened to Joshua Davis on the evening in question."
On Tuesday evening, an estimated 150-plus showed up for a prayer vigil held in the living room and later in the back yard at Joshua's home. Many held candles as prayers were said.

New Braunfels Police officials say their focus is now honed in on investigating certain forensic leads, although the ground and air search for signs of the missing boy continues to expand, now out to the 2-mile radius surrounding the boy’s home on Savannah Hill Circle, which sits off of Klein Road and Walnut Avenue. New Braunfels Police Lt. Michael Penshorn says that in the last 24 hours there’s been a significant increase in the number of FBI agents that are now participating in the investigation, as many as 30 agents, many of which are from the San Antonio Field Office and their forensics analysis team.

K-9 dog teams continued searching areas around the home of missing 18-month old Joshua Davis Jr. yesterday, but they also searched areas far from his home, on the other side of town. For the 2nd time in the last week, investigators were back in the area of Hunter Road and Country Ridge Drive with dog search teams scouring more densely wooded areas, searching for signs of the missing boy. New Braunfels Police officials wouldn’t say specifically why they were in that area yesterday, but did say that they were following up on any and all tips they get from the public, and that yesterday’s search off Hunter Road was one of those places they were following up on.

Holding hands, about 50 community members prayed for the baby’s safe return and for the family’s peace of mind.
“We are looking for reconciliation within the community and the parents,” said LaTondra Darnell, New Creation Christian Fellowship Church care group leader. “Even when the police have moved the search to a recovery, we are coming together to find baby Josh.”

Authorities acknowledged Wednesday that they are no closer to locating missing toddler Joshua Davis Jr. than the evening he vanished without a trace from his New Braunfels home three weeks ago.
Police have interviewed all of the people who were at the mobile home that night, and all were cooperating with authorities, New Braunfels police Lt. Mark Penshorn said
“We are looking at all possibilities at this point,” he said. “We have been following up on all tips.”

The search continues for 18-month old Joshua Davis Jr. Officers continue to look into every lead that is called or emailed in, no matter how small. Lt. John McDonald, one of the lead investigators on this case, says most of those leads have been very consistent, coming from a variety of sources, all in the same relative area, near the boy's home on Savannah Hill Circle, east of I-35. But some tips have taken officers to locations across the city, and a few leads have even taken investigators out of state, as they follow-up on every tip that comes their way.

Still, Davis and Benitez are hopeful he's alive. Today, they plan to mark his second birthday, which is on August 16, with a prayer vigil.
