I am going to have to do some reading and catch up on this one. I had no idea. Maybe its because its across the border or maybe I have just been under a rock over here but this is monstrous!

Now that I am aware I cannot imagine ever forgetting. So many women gone, poof. So many families, heartbroken. These familes are so deserving of some answers, some closure.

In Smithers, local artists have also put together an art show to commemorate the missing women. Alongside a painted facemask of one of the young women, someone had scribbled:

I dreamt I held you in my arms, safe and warm
I woke to tears falling silently.
My heart is heavy and burdened
smothered with grief so hard to bear.
Please return to me and let me gently touch your cheek
if only in my dreams.

I watched it too Trigger, and yes, it is all so heartbreaking for these young victims and their grieving families.

I am particularly interested in LE's comment that Bjornsen's death a couple of days after Maddy went missing had nothing to do with her disappearance. I'd sure like to know how they ruled that one out. He had a bad rep and was decapitated, so sure smacks of gang affiliations. If they haven't caught his killer, how do they know that perp/perps aren't responsible for Maddy's disappearance (and the possibility that she is being held somewhere)?

I must have mis-heard the details about Bjornson's death ... it was months after Maddy's disappearance, not days.
