The mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn said she filed a no trespassing order against her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.
Billie Dunn said investigators found disturbing messages about her in Adkins' cell phone Thursday. She didn't wish to go into detail, but described the content as "threatening."
Dunn said Adkins can't come on her property for a year under the order she filed Friday.
"He made threats against me. I don't think he sent them anywhere. They were just on the memo pad...I got scared and I didn't want him to be able to come over here at all anymore," she said.

So let's see...she hid SA from LE because she didn't know what else to do because she was afraid because he threatened her like he did back in February of 2010 which didn't scare her then but scares her now...in fact scares her so much that she lied to LE and hid him in her house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

??No trespassing?? For a threat to your life? So he can still hang out with her anywhere she goes, just not at her house. And she can hang out with him where ever he goes...except her house.

Friday afternoon Dunn invited CBS 7 into her home to discuss the arrest.
I love the way they worded that. LOL
She said she did not want Adkins to be at her home Thursday and when authorities arrived she didn’t know what to do.
Here we go--back to the 'damsel in distress' mode. It has worked so well in the past she is bringing it back.
Dunn’s mother Billie, says she wants the focus of the public and the media to be less on her and more on the search for her daughter.

OK the way I understand a no trespassing order is that LE can issue it. For example when I used to manage in retail a had some peeps that would come in and give me a hard time, trash the store. I called LE and right on the spot they issued a no trespassing order. It is for a year.
I hear this all the time on the scanner too. With several jurisdictions I listen to in different states.
Now this would fit. They called Billie Dunn's bluff. They don't want Shawn hiding there. They don't want him with Billie. They are trying to keep them apart. So this would make tons of sense to me.
Billie tells the story he was there against her will. LE says oh really. So we can help you with that let's issue a no trespassing order, problem solved.

Shawn has threatened her before according to the affidavits. Didn't bother her, even after he was the last person to see her daughter. Even after he called her missing daughter, H, promiscuous. Even after he failed his poly. Even after LE suggested that she stay away from him. LE knocks on her door, and Billie lies to LE stating that Shawn is NOT in her home.
Memos on Shawn's cell threatening Billie (never sent to her in any form), and now Billie files a No Trespassing Order against him.
Give me a break...I thought Shawn took the Drama Class (in HS).

I pondered that initially, until I re-read the article which specifically states SHE FILED the order.
IMO, she's lying through her teeth and trying to "one up" the public and LE by "thinking" she's one step ahead of everyone else.
Thus the reason for her independent interviews...the call back to Priscilla Luong to mention that she forgot, the different story to bigcountry and cbs7...all of it is a load of carp IMO and Marc Klass said it best...

My heart goes out to DD. I am literally in tears for him and they continue to fall everytime I read more of her BS!

I too read it as Billie telling the reporter that she was unaware where Shawn was when LE came knocking. Upon second reading, I think it's just another case of mediocre writing/reporting. I think Billie admitted to the reporter that she lied by telling LE, "no officers, Shawn's not here, I don't where he is", though she knew he was inside and was quickly discovered when she allowed LE into the house...

A no trespassing order is on your property. Restraining orders and stalking orders are for your person. So, he can't go on her property, IF she has a no trespass order, but she and he can still be around each other in other locations.
I don't buy any of this though. Not unless LE verifies it.

She hasn't filed an RO on him for 3 months because as she said last night in an interview, LE puts thoughts in her head when she is there about Shawn's guilt, but when she is home she doesn't feel that way.
If she files an RO it will be to try to beat these charges. Not because she is afraid of Shawn. If she was afraid of Shawn she wouldn't live in that house all alone. Broken windows and all, covered by cardboard.

Many moons ago I was "dating" this real smart guy who called the local police after we had a pretty nasty fight to tell them he was gonna kill me. The threat wasn't made to me so I had nothing to do with the protective order that went into effect after they arrested him for threatening. I was notified after the fact and given a copy of the protective order that the court filed. My main problem with all this is why is SA still walking the streets? What's it gonna take for LE to see this guy is dangerous, even if he had nothing to do with Hailey going missing? Child porn, bestiality, threatening (and this isn't his first time threatening!) with digital proof. Who's gotta get hurt before they take this <self edit> off the streets?!

It was my understanding that SA called the PD and said come over here to BD I am here.

Every single time something big comes out in the media, she says they are done.
When they both failed the polys, she told SA to leave.
When the CP first came out, she said they were not together anymore.
Now she gets arrested, and they are done again.
Each time, they've been seen after. It won't be long until they are seen together again.

JMO...Billie has never struck me as slow or of below average intelligence. Out of the gate, from the start of her many taped appearances, she has always struck me as at least of average or higher intelligence. She made N Grace "work" during one of her several appearances on her show before she gave Grace a straight answer.
Billie continues to strike me as bold, unafraid to twist, dance, and weave in front of the camera, to reporters, to LE, etc. IMO, she's a seasoned manipulator. I don't believe this is a new skill recently acquired by Billie.
Just because someone won't give a straight answer is not a sign of high intellect IMO. An acquaintance of mine (I'll call her "C") has held an entitled attitude that was fostered by her parents her entire life. She scoffs at any notion that she is being ridiculous in her unrealistic grandiose thinking because to her, it's status quo. C is also a substance abuser and an accomplished liar. I would be absolutely shocked if C's IQ was much over 100. The interesting coincidence is that C, similar to BJD, has also dabbled in careers that require her to be around compromised adults. I don't know about BJD, but C has definitely taken advantage of her situation.
I don't know that it's so much street smarts and savvy than an survival attitude about where the next fix is coming from and a commitment to do whatever it takes to get it. You can catch these kinds of addicts with a crack pipe in their mouth and they'll deny they've inhaled.

Billie told us "I tried to stand by him at first because I really felt like I knew him. I know he wouldn't hurt Hailey and why would he but after I talked to investigators it puts doubt in my mind."

Since Billie and Shawn have been hanging out together and she had access to his cell phone. I wonder if the FBI can pin point the time and date of this memo was made??

Above BBM.. I think it would come down to soley depending on what type of phone he has.. Mine is just like what is shown in the image above{yellow digital notepad}..and mine not only shows the exact time amd date that the memo was typed out..but it also has every single edit's time as well..like for instance if you were adding to a list..each time you added to the memo it would be documented..

So, SA has "something" that's usually on him that LE wanted. BD lied to LE about SA being there. NOW BD has a no trespass on HER HOUSE - where possibly SA dumped whatever he had, and LE think she is hiding something for SA. What if.......it was memory sticks of porn which showed BD in a criminal or uh, well, an act and BD has been trying to get these back from SA the whole time before she rolls on him. She now has them because he had to dump them at her house so now she's done with him?

Does anyone know exactly why is it that they will not release to the public the actual affidavits/search warrants?..They are clearly visible for several seconds 4 different times in the video at this link{one paragraph actually shown from the actual affidavit document}..So why will these media outlets not post and make public that which has already been released by a judge for it to now be public knowledge?

This is exactly like the Anthonys. Every time something negative came out about Casey they would go to every news agency trying to turn the tide. It is soooooo predictable.

Too bad that BD didn't get this mad when she reported that HD "was not in her house" way back in December. She certainly does have her priorities, and BD is right at the top.

Just because someone won't give a straight answer is not a sign of high intellect IMO. An acquaintance of mine (I'll call her "C") has held an entitled attitude that was fostered by her parents her entire life. She scoffs at any notion that she is being ridiculous in her unrealistic grandiose thinking because to her, it's status quo. C is also a substance abuser and an accomplished liar. I would be absolutely shocked if C's IQ was much over 100. The interesting coincidence is that C, similar to BJD, has also dabbled in careers that require her to be around compromised adults. I don't know about BJD, but C has definitely taken advantage of her situation.
I don't know that it's so much street smarts and savvy than an survival attitude about where the next fix is coming from and a commitment to do whatever it takes to get it. You can catch these kinds of addicts with a crack pipe in their mouth and they'll deny they've inhaled.

IMO, Billie's narcissism, not her below average intelligence, leads her to believe that no one else can see right through her. So, she keeps on talking, appearing, calling-in, spinning and weaving her lies.
Nonetheless, I believe that Billie has been very, very comfortable in front of the media. Hel_, she called her own "press conference" of sorts. I was waiting for the proverbial cane to appear to drag her from the NG Show, but she kept right on coming on. She's verbal. Just because she may have some issues, and I think she's got plenty, does not make her of below average intelligence.

IF SA did call LE and say I'm here come and get me why would he have done that? As far as I know there is no warrant for him. Sounds like a mind game. Maybe BD threatened to call and report him or what he supposedly was carrying on his person. so he one upped her and I'll call them, myself. beat her to the punch.. So did he

Police can give a person a no trespassing order. We had one on a daughter's teen ex boyfriend once. I thought they'd quit giving those here in my town though. I saw BD being interviewed and she said they were arguing and SA just didn't want to talk to police. No wonder she's now appearing to cut ties. He's been completely found out with child abuse porn being found on just about every device that he's had access to, and now his own cell phone. Can't blame that one at least 10 other people very well.

So this trespassing order isn't something she would need to file, right? LE can say - we're issuing a no-trespassing order to keep SA out of your home.
IMHO, I don't think BJD would have done this herself. But that's just my opinion.

A no trespassing order is on your property. Restraining orders and stalking orders are for your person. So, he can't go on her property, IF she has a no trespass order, but she and he can still be around each other in other locations.
I don't buy any of this though. Not unless LE verifies it.
Since her story has changed AGAIN, I won't believe it either.
What if she puts up a No Trespassing sign on Monday - does that count :)

I have copied some or most of what has come out of Billies mouth in the last few days after being arrested and released from jail.
Billie Jean Dunn admitted this afternoon to lying to police about the whereabouts of her former live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.
“He (Adkins) had come over here on his own and I had called his mother to come get him,” Dunn said.
Dunn was asked if she was lying about not knowing what happened to her daughter, Hailey Dunn, who was last seen Dec. 27.
“I am not lying," Dunn said. "Clint (Hailey's father) and I are doing everything we can to look for her (Hailey).”
"I was arrested because Shawn [Adkins] came over here and the authorities were looking for him, and I told them [the officers] he wasn't here [at Dunn's home]," admitted Billie Dunn, mother of missing teen, Hailey Dunn.
When Dunn was asked why she lied, she sharply responded, "I'd rather not get into that."
"Nobody seems concerned with that. Nobody seems concerned with [the fact] that I have a kid that's missing, and has been missing, and nobody's found her. They're [law enforcement] more worried about getting a case closed and pinning it on somebody, I guess," lamented Dunn.
Still, Dunn was not at a loss for words when it came to her three charges, especially the drug possession charge.
"It was completely a lie. They [officers] found a prescription bottle with my name torn off of it."
After fielding more questions, Dunn finally said, "I'm going inside," and slammed her front door behind her.
"He made threats against me. I don't think he sent them anywhere. They were just on the memo pad...I got scared and I didn't want him to be able to come over here at all anymore," she said.
"They're suspicious Shawn keeps trying so desperately to get back with me because they think I know something, I'm hiding something for him," she said.
Dunn said she has no plans to see or speak to Adkins again.
"Even if by some miracle Hailey walked through the door and he had nothing to do with that, there's too many problems between us now," she said.
Dunn said Adkins hasn't tried to contact her since she filed the order.
Billie told KTXS "There's so much that's happened, so much that I found out about him..I think about 'did he have time to hurt my daughter?' and 'why would he hurt he?.'"
Billie told us "I tried to stand by him at first because I really felt like I knew him. I know he wouldn't hurt Hailey and why would he but after I talked to investigators it puts doubt in my mind."
Billie says it is getting harder, "I'm not as hopeful as I had been, really does get harder I didn't think it could but it does."

I would transcibe them but by watching them you will get the full effects of her demeanor and her playing the role of a victim again. Big SIGH. When will the games end?

A second search warrant, served Thursday evening at the home of Billie Dunn, was a warrant for Adkins' body, signed by a Howard County judge. According to Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs, they were looking for an item Adkins commonly carries with him. He did not have it on him, Toombs said.
What "item" would he carry but now isn't on him after they served their body warrant? Maybe a "memory stick" or another digital device? Oh where oh where could it be? hmmmm (me thinks someone is hiding it for him)
According to Toombs, law enforcement officials were looking for Shawn Adkins Thursday when serving the warrants, and Dunn lied to officers when they asked if she knew where he was. Adkins, the only named suspect in the case, was discovered to be in Dunn's home at the time of the search.
Adkins' status as a suspect has not changed, and when asked if Dunn had also been named as a suspect, Toombs replied, "No, but her arrest and everything that happened yesterday does not help her cause."
No, it sure doesn't help her cause. Billie and Shawn they (LE) are onto your deflecting games. Either way Shawn and/or Billie are going to jail on CP and BP from all the devices that were found at each house (or on his person). I think police manipulated BD into taking out the restraining order. They are playing a "lil bit" of the Billie Dunn game.
I think they are hoping SA will talk and spill the beans on what actually happened that night. He won't be able to sit back and watch her blame him and he won't be able to put the BD spin on things the way Billie has coached him through.

Really, it's just bizarre. I don't even see how it's considered threatening if it's to oneself and not sent. It's just a note to self, right? What the media...or better yet B&R from BTH should do now is refuse to talk about SA at all and start asking BD about HD again. That would drive her nuts...to have someone actually say to her "Let's not talk about Shawn, Billie."

I think that this should read more like "Billie admits she lied WHEN SHE SAID she didn't know where Adkins was..." She acknowledges that she DID know he was there, and lied to LE about it. I don't believe she is trying to say she REALLY didn't know he was there. She knew she was caught in a lie when she let the officers in (or had more faith in Shawn to HIDE!) but I doubt she thought she would be arrested. With the "No Trespass" order, she (theoretically) won't be put in a position of having to decide whether to hide him again. I am sure that if/when LE told her about the notes in his phone they pointed out that, not only was her daughter missing and her son living with another family member, but she was now sitting in JAIL, apparently detoxing, because she was protecting him. Want to get an addict's attention? Deprive them of that which they are addicted to and offer the only option that will allow them to get back to it.

Someone please help me make sense of this. They went there looking for Shawn, they had a warrant to search his body. Billie lied and said she didn't know where he was. When she invited them inside, Shawn was there. So why wasn't he taken into custody right then?
Doesn't make sense to me for them to go to her house looking for Shawn, he's sitting right there, they end up cuffing Billie and taking her off to jail, and leave Shawn sitting on the porch and then come out and say she was arrested for hindering an investigation. Really? They found him there, but they didn't take him into custody and it's her fault?
Can anyone explain this to me so that I can understand? Because it sounds to me like LE is playing games and not serious at all.

They didnt go there to arrest him. If Billie hadnt lied she wouldnt have gone to jail. They just wanted to serve a search warrant. She hindered the investigation.Thats why he got to sit on the porch and wave bye bye to her as they drove her away in cuffs.

BBM, just catching up on this thread so please forgive me if this has been mentioned already but the "memo pad" is a function on a cell phone, from what I remember he has or had a blackberry, that is basically a small computer, there are many different applications and "memo pad" is one of them, just a place to jott things down and save it, rather then using a piece of paper. A blackberry and Iphone are very similar and have many of the same capabilities, again basically small computers.

I have had wavering confidence in LE and the way they have performed their duties in this case/investigation thus far but I can only surmise that LE sent a very clear and concise message to BD that they (LE) have had enough of HER games and they were not playing. BD lied to LE officers while they were trying to perform their duties and they were having no part of it and finally BD was able to reap the consequences of a lie.
Apparantly, LE was not there to take SA into custody but to serve a search warrant to search SA's person for an item or thing he might have had on his person or just a body search. It has not been stated anywhere that there was an arrest warrant for SA.
I think LE is serious at this point.

This was a case of LE not playing games,imo. They had a search warrant for Shawn's person (not an arrest warrant). Had Billie simply told the truth and sent Shawn to the door when asked, she would not have subjected herself to being arrested on the very valid charges of lying to LE, hindering apprehension, and possession of dangerous drugs. Instead, she brazenly lied and even invited LE in to the house to see for themselves that Shawn wasn't there (of course, they found him). Billie admits to all of this. This was a consequence of Billie's game playing, not LE's. I think the games are over for Billie and Shawn and it's about time. Hailey is missing and Billie is still lying and obstructing the investigation. JMO..

I think she was convinced a while back that he was CAPABLE of it, but that he had not had an OPPORTUNITY. After her latest pow-wow with LE, she's been running over the timeline trying to see if he MIGHT have.
2 weeks before her 3/17 arrest, Billie was interviewed on BTHN blog talk (3/3). This was just after she was shown the images of Shawn with another adult female. She said that Shawn had an hour and a half alone with Hailey on 12/27 (even though LE allegedly told her he had only an hour). She said LE informed her that Shawn had informed his mother that Hailey was missing 3 hours before Shawn called DD; which was supposedly the first time he learned that Hailey was missing. Very incriminating. Imo, she was mad and getting even by releasing this incriminating information. So, she knew the discrepancies in the time line 2 weeks ago, at the very least, and still had Shawn at her house and obstructed the investigation by lying to LE. Indefensible, imo.

Clint thought that Billie's arrest had something to do with Hailey. IMO it does, Clint. She was interferring with an investigation. Why would she hide Shawn from the police who have a warrant for him?
"Clint Dunn, Hailey's father, said when he heard about Billie's arrest, he feared that it had to do with his missing daughter.
Clint told KTXS, "Initially, I was concerned that, you know, she was being arrested for something with Hailey."
I feel sad for Clint, I've stopped sympathising with Billie a long time ago.

OK the way I understand a no trespassing order is that LE can issue it. For example when I used to manage in retail a had some peeps that would come in and give me a hard time, trash the store. I called LE and right on the spot they issued a no trespassing order. It is for a year.
I hear this all the time on the scanner too. With several jurisdictions I listen to in different states.
Now this would fit. They called Billie Dunn's bluff. They don't want Shawn hiding there. They don't want him with Billie. They are trying to keep them apart. So this would make tons of sense to me.
Billie tells the story he was there against her will. LE says oh really. So we can help you with that let's issue a no trespassing order, problem solved.
That is exactly what I think too, GrandmaJ.

This is my opinion of the whole arrest night ordeal - and someone else may have posted virtually the same thing, but it's hard for me to keep up reading all the posts:
I think they went there to serve the "body" warrant because they need photos of some private areas of SA. Billie lied and said he wasn't there, which of course he was. They arrest her and while they have her in custody take the opportunity to show her a few photos from the child pornography or bestiality or whatever evidence they got from the memory stick or computers and she could clearly tell from the photos that it was his junk in the photo and she had to finally admit to herself that he's a pedophile sick individual. I think he may have been smart enough not to photograph his face, whether he just shot from the chest down or whether he wore one a hood or mask of some sort. But his junk will be unmistakable to her, I believe. And once the body search photos have been taken and compared, I think we'll see an arrest coming. And LE laid it out to her that it is their professional opinion that Hailey was molested at home and they gave her very good reason to finally understand that he is the person responsible for Hailey's disappearance and likely death. I think they put it to her in no uncertain terms, you're going down with him - bet your last freaking dollar on it - unless you get on board and shut this train down now. I think the inside of the jail and whatever evidence they showed her that night was the imminent arrest coming in the near future.

Wasnt it reported that orignally when the police went there Thursday that she said he wasnt home? Surely that would indicate that he was living there? So why would she be phoning his mother anyhow?

Thing is she said all this after the porn come out...that she now had doubts because of things she had been told..and yet...he was still living there apparently and was there when the cops went there.
And all this crap about she didnt know if he had the time to kill Hailey...the fact is that Hailey was not seen by a single person that didnt live in the house the day she supposedly went missing. It is far more likely that she was killed the previous night in my opinion where there was far more time to do this :(

I have copied some or most of what has come out of Billies mouth in the last few days after being arrested and released from jail.
Billie Jean Dunn admitted this afternoon to lying to police about the whereabouts of her former live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.
“He (Adkins) had come over here on his own and I had called his mother to come get him,” Dunn said.
Dunn was asked if she was lying about not knowing what happened to her daughter, Hailey Dunn, who was last seen Dec. 27.
“I am not lying," Dunn said. "Clint (Hailey's father) and I are doing everything we can to look for her (Hailey).”
"I was arrested because Shawn [Adkins] came over here and the authorities were looking for him, and I told them [the officers] he wasn't here [at Dunn's home]," admitted Billie Dunn, mother of missing teen, Hailey Dunn.
When Dunn was asked why she lied, she sharply responded, "I'd rather not get into that."
"Nobody seems concerned with that. Nobody seems concerned with [the fact] that I have a kid that's missing, and has been missing, and nobody's found her. They're [law enforcement] more worried about getting a case closed and pinning it on somebody, I guess," lamented Dunn.
Still, Dunn was not at a loss for words when it came to her three charges, especially the drug possession charge.
"It was completely a lie. They [officers] found a prescription bottle with my name torn off of it."
After fielding more questions, Dunn finally said, "I'm going inside," and slammed her front door behind her.
"He made threats against me. I don't think he sent them anywhere. They were just on the memo pad...I got scared and I didn't want him to be able to come over here at all anymore," she said.
"They're suspicious Shawn keeps trying so desperately to get back with me because they think I know something, I'm hiding something for him," she said.
Dunn said she has no plans to see or speak to Adkins again.
"Even if by some miracle Hailey walked through the door and he had nothing to do with that, there's too many problems between us now," she said.
Dunn said Adkins hasn't tried to contact her since she filed the order.

A second search warrant, served Thursday evening at the home of Billie Dunn, was a warrant for Adkins' body, signed by a Howard County judge. According to Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs, they were looking for an item Adkins commonly carries with him. He did not have it on him, Toombs said.
What "item" would he carry but now isn't on him after they served their body warrant? Maybe a "memory stick" or another digital device? Oh where oh where could it be? hmmmm (me thinks someone is hiding it for him)
According to Toombs, law enforcement officials were looking for Shawn Adkins Thursday when serving the warrants, and Dunn lied to officers when they asked if she knew where he was. Adkins, the only named suspect in the case, was discovered to be in Dunn's home at the time of the search.
Adkins' status as a suspect has not changed, and when asked if Dunn had also been named as a suspect, Toombs replied, "No, but her arrest and everything that happened yesterday does not help her cause."
No, it sure doesn't help her cause. Billie and Shawn they (LE) are onto your deflecting games. Either way Shawn and/or Billie are going to jail on CP and BP from all the devices that were found at each house (or on his person). Tick Tock Shawn and Billie, the first one to talk to LE may avoid the DP. IMHO

IDK but this is how I picture it:
"Oh carp, is that the police coming down the road? Quick, Shawn, you gotta hide. I'll try to stall them and maybe you can sneak out through the back of the house and I'll get your mom to pick you up."
If they didn't want anyone to know he was living there he might not have parked his own vehicle anywhere close.

A no trespassing order is on your property. Restraining orders and stalking orders are for your person. So, he can't go on her property, IF she has a no trespass order, but she and he can still be around each other in other locations.
I don't buy any of this though. Not unless LE verifies it.

I cannot believe that LE showed this woman any evidentiary pictures wherein child pornography or bestiality is depicted. They would be committing a crime by doing so since that would be considered conveyance of illegal materials.

In early January Investigators told Billie that Shawn was a suspect and asked her to stay away from him. She did not file a RO or No tresspass. In fact she continued to see him and have him at her home overnight as witnessed by the neighbor who said he was on her porch smoking at 5am.
Three weeks ago the child porn was announced. Billie Dunn did not file an RO or a No trespass against Shawn.
Billie Dunn says in the beginning she didn't believe it. NO this isn't the beginning , this is 3 months into the disappearance of her daughter gone missing. Shawn has been the suspect since early January. A neighbor saw him there smoking a cigg at 5am in the morning. She claims they are not together. Well I don't know anyone who gets up at 5am travels the distance between homes to smoke a cigg on someone's front porch.
Suddenly after Billie gets caught lying to Law Enforcement, with dangerous drugs, and obstructing police officers she is now filing a "no trespass". Which is one of the most simple documents/oral orders a homeowner can file.
Please, if she was feeling threatened go file an RO. A no trespass only keeps the person from your premise if you chose to enforce the order. He can still go there although it wouldn't be bright because while everything is wonderful between them she wouldn't enforce the order, but if they got into an argument then she could pull the "I have a No Trespass" Order. Or if investigators were to visit her there and find him there then she could pull the "I'm sorry officer I have a no trespass but he keeps coming over."
This is all very questionable. When people that act in unlawful ways try to use the law to play their games and use law enforcement to do it. He will be there again, they can't be apart for too long because each has too much to lose.
This is just another stunt. Another misdirect while all the while she is claiming no one is looking for her "kid".

The way she makes it sound like Hailey's dead is a complete contradiction with the "she's being trafficked" angle ("We're looking for a living breathing Hailey" etc.).
Is it not interesting that the cops were there.......looking for SA but she is the one arrested???? I find that just........strange,lol.
You know what? She could have saved herself a trip to jail, a drug charge, and the other two charges by just having SA come to the door. LE wouldn't have had any reason to go looking around her house and finding drugs.
No trespassing order.....Well, we'll see how long she goes with that version of events.....LOL

The way I understood it was that they had a warrant to search Shawn's body/belongings and they did that when they finally located him at Billie's.
They evidently did NOT find what they were looking for on him, but they did take Billie in because they found drugs in the home.
Also, she did not really 'invite' them in --according to some reports they smelled drugs and were allowed to enter because of probable cause.
I think they are serious but Shawn has hidden his stuff really well and has been hard to take down so far. He stopped cooperating and lawyered up. So they are messing with Billie and hoping she will slip up imo.

You're spot on (love this language analysis stuff).
You can also read it like this:
"Even if by some miracle <Hailey walked through the door and> he had nothing to do with that, there's too many problems between us now," she said.

The way I understood it was that they had a warrant to search Shawn's body/belongings and they did that when they finally located him at Billie's.
They evidently did NOT find what they were looking for on him, but they did take Billie in because they found drugs in the home.
Also, she did not really 'invite' them in --according to some reports they smelled drugs and were allowed to enter because of probable cause.
I think they are serious but Shawn has hidden his stuff really well and has been hard to take down so far. He stopped cooperating and lawyered up. So they are messing with Billie and hoping she will slip up imo.
IMO Le knew exactly where to find Shawn, I think they knew exactly where he was.

I've been lurking for a long time since the BMS case in Virginia. Hailey's story has also really affected me. I work with teenage girls as a counselor and it just frustrates me how often their lives are affected by their parents choices.
I feel sorry for Hailey's siblings. Her brother whose life had totally been turned upside down and since I work in conjunction with CPS every now and then I know what that involvement means typically. He understands mentally what is going on but you can imagine what her step-brother and baby sister are going through?
Billie is only a few years older than me and I wish I could have had a precious daughter like Hailey. I tell my clients you have to change the paths your life is on because of your parents choices now. Stop being the victim because decisions you make as a teen do impact you later on.
Billie needs to step up and admit what's going on but she's too busy blame shifting and justifying her choices. My heart breaks for this generation of teenagers as most of them appear to be "parented" by adults who are emotionally stunted in their teens and Billie to me appears about 15-16 emotionally.

Clint thought that Billie's arrest had something to do with Hailey. IMO it does, Clint. She was interferring with an investigation. Why would she hide Shawn from the police who have a warrant for him?

The mother of missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn said she filed a no trespassing order against her boyfriend, Shawn Adkins.
Billie Dunn said investigators found disturbing messages about her in Adkins' cell phone Thursday. She didn't wish to go into detail, but described the content as "threatening."
Dunn said Adkins can't come on her property for a year under the order she filed Friday.
"He made threats against me. I don't think he sent them anywhere. They were just on the memo pad...I got scared and I didn't want him to be able to come over here at all anymore," she said.

Dunn explained to CBS 7 that Adkins was at her home when Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and asked where he was. Deputies, working with the Texas Rangers had a search warrant relating to Shawn Adkins.
Dunn admits she lied and said she didn’t know where Shawn was at the time. She says moments later she invited investigators inside, at which time they quickly found Adkins.

ITA. And at home, at least previous to the police finding it, she had all that porn to convince her that Shawn was innocent. (I don't believe for a second there wasn't a laptop or something she was using to relive her best awesome moments with Shawn). It almost looked like a "zip your mouth motion sent out to SA". I'm really thinking about Hailey today, and feel sad for Hailey. I know many of you feel this way, too.

Her kid is missing....(Such a loving way of referring to Hailey). Then BD lies by including herself in those searching for Hailey. She sat on her sofa while volunteers searched from dawn to dusk for her child. At the end of a fruitless day searchers returned to their homes fatigued and miserable, sweaty, dirty, and disappointed. BD, on the other hand, remained in the comfort of her home, enjoying a little bit of tv, a lot of drama. BD was comfy and unconcerned, disturbingly ungrateful for a woman of a missing child. She had no problem accepting donations, claimed she didn't "ask" for any.
I don't believe a word BD says. She is a manipulative witchy woman who played a helpless waif-like female and didn't need a mask. Lately, in her last presser, she looked older and haggard. Small punishment for failing to protect her beautiful daughter. Hopefully, more punishment from the legal system is in the works for Act II.

I hope it's okay to say this, but I did read it on kcbd.com, my local tv channel. A neighbor reported that SA had been staying there because she would be picked up at 5 am for work and she'd see him standing out on the porch smoking. He's not working and was supposedly mad at his boss for making him go to work so early, so I question why he'd be up so early when not having to go to work. If I were a neighbor, I'd be so creeped out that I believe I'd buy a pitbull, an alarm system, etc.

I would be so creeped out if I looked out my window and could see Shawn sitting nearby on a porch @ 5 am. Lord Have Mercy.
I think back to what Billie said on the 911 call ;" He is going to kill us and it will be remembered."
I am afraid that Shawn might try and go out in a blaze of ugly glory if he thinks he is going to be locked up for decades. These porn charges could get him 30 years at least. I wonder if he will go without a fight. Or if he might

There are lots of cases closed where the missing person is not located.
Ashley Jones for example. Closed case ,conviction in a her murder.She is still missing.

I agree with you on her obstruction issues. My opinion on her statement was that I could see where she COULD be coming from. I could see an innocent person making the same statement she did.
Is she coming from where I would be? I dunno. If she BELIEVES him to be innocent she may really feel she is justifed. I dont believe Shawn to be innocent(but I do doubt his guilt) and I am losing faith in Billie. I dont think she helped him but I do think she is being a pain to the investigation.
Her motivation for that imo has yet to be seen. We wont know until Hailey is found I dont think. I havent seen ANY evidence or listing of evidence that says SA is guilty I see stuff that could imply he MAY have done something.

I would be so creeped out if I looked out my window and could see Shawn sitting nearby on a porch @ 5 am. Lord Have Mercy.
I think back to what Billie said on the 911 call ;" He is going to kill us and it will be remembered."
I am afraid that Shawn might try and go out in a blaze of ugly glory if he thinks he is going to be locked up for decades. These porn charges could get him 30 years at least. I wonder if he will go without a fight. Or if he might
hold Billie hostage and try to force the cops to kill him, just for the cameras. IDK but I would stay far away from him if he lived in my town. I've been thinking about what he supposedly said about being remembered too. BD lies a lot, so he might not have said it, but I hope LE is keeping a real close eye on him. What bothers me is LE looking at his family's house to serve the body search warrant. They should know exactly where he is every second of every day. I imagine BD's neighbors sleeping in shifts so somebody can keep watch at all times. If I was a neighbor, I'd get my kids and move. MOO.

Interesting the Sheriff can comment of this ,but hasnt commented if they think Hailey is alive.. or a 1,000 other issues he could comment on about Hailey.
Do they have any direct evidence that points to SA harming Hailey?
Have they recieved any recent tips?
Are family members not being less contradicting then they once were? Have they been able to get the timeline narrowed down ?
Are you planning to have Billie Dunn submit to a LD test like she said she would?
Is SA being cooperative?
Has the investigation shifted from missing person to murder?
Do you suspect foul play?
I would have rather had the answer to anyone of these questions as we know she is still seeing SA and will keep doing so.

Billie Dunn seems to be making all kinds of statements about this and that. I don't have a problem with the sheriff making his own statements. The only thing I expect from him is his best effort on this case. If that means pointing out Billie's little inconsistencies and not answering specific questions I have, I'll take it.

They must believe she has more information to HELP THEM FIND OUT WHERE HAILEY IS.

I think LE has the answers to many questions. They are just hitting her in the ONE area that seems to rattle her the most. Smart thinking on LE's behalf.

Since I have learned to not trust a single iota of verbiage that Billie spews forth, I am trusting the word of Sheriff Toombs.
I fully believe that Billie and SA met up this weekend in Snyder, just as the good Sheriff stated.
I also believe that there is likely photographic proof of said meeting and, if push comes to shove, it will be made public--just so that Billie can put that in her pipe and smoke it.
I am SO over her lies.
And now I am going to sit on my fingers before I say what I really think.

Big Country News has poll on their home page asking if they should leave Billie alone. I didn't vote, because I think that they are missing the point. I think it would be a "two-fer" if they would start stalking SA 24/7. It makes no sense to just rag on Billie but leave SA alone unless he calls a press conference! They'll end up getting Billie too, since he spends so much time sneaking around with her! MOO

She went to jail on Thurs. Got out on Fri. Called the press to let them know she had a "protective order" against Adkins Fri. afternoon. When called on the protective order - she changes it to No Tresspass order, again Friday afternoon. By Satuday night, the Sheriff knows that BD and SA are keeping company. Unbelievable!
So.... is it because BD loves him so much, she just can't stay away from SA or does SA really have something on BD and threatens to use it against her if she doesn't do what he says?
For a woman with street smarts, it sure doesn't look like her brain is working. If SA threatened her physically, all she had to do was call LE. LE would have been on it in a hot minute. So.... that can't be the issue, right?
If BD just finds SA so attractive she can't stay away, she wouldn't call LE.
Or if SA said "meet me or I will call LE" she probably didn't have much choice then either.

Well, that didn't take long.
I'm not surprised at all.
I think it's time to serve another search warrant on Shawn Adkins, and while they're at it - serve one on Billie Jean, as well.
ETA: BD & SA seem to think they can outsmart LE. I'm looking forward to watching them lose this game they think they're playing.

OMG - I know! She comes out and says (basically) that LE is lying? Can you imagine the Sheriff's office coming out with such a statement if it wasn't true and they don't have physical proof (witnesses, photos, etc)?

In response to Sheriff Toombs comments, Billie Dunn told KRBC's Jessica Reyes the accusations were not true. She says she and Adkins haven't seen each other since her arrest on Thursday.

She's in survivor mode....she has nothing left except her lies....and her mockery of LE. LE is surely watching SA 24/7 because of the child porn...they can't take the chance that he could harm a child. imo.
To me this just proves beyond a doubt that they both had something to do with HD's disappearance. I'm guessing, but GMa, mom and family have prolly given up trying to keep him from BD at this point, if they had been previously.
How torn DD must be. :( I hope CD hasn't forsaken him and is seeing him regularly.

I don't think Billie has ever said she asked for protection from SA, at least not since Hailey went missing. If that was the case, I am sure she would have it, if indeed she proved to LE she meant it and would stay away from him, i,.e. that includes calling LE every time she heard from him, or he showed up etc...
She is about as scared of him as I am of my kitty cat. If anything, SA is scared of Billie.

Interesting the Sheriff can comment of this ,but hasnt commented if they think Hailey is alive.. or a 1,000 other issues he could comment on about Hailey.
Do they have any direct evidence that points to SA harming Hailey?
Have they recieved any recent tips?
Are family members not being less contradicting then they once were? Have they been able to get the timeline narrowed down ?
Are you planning to have Billie Dunn submit to a LD test like she said she would?
Is SA being cooperative?
Has the investigation shifted from missing person to murder?
Do you suspect foul play?
I would have rather had the answer to anyone of these questions as we know she is still seeing SA and will keep doing so.
The way I see it, this has become a game of strategy like poker or chess, and BD still believes she can win. So the Sheriff has started calling her bluff and really doesn't owe the public anything more than the truth about her.
(And personally I think most of your questions are self-explanatory, such as whether there is foul play. Well, since they have a suspect, there must be foul play.)
The police took the move of trying to serve a warrant on SA at BD's house, and she bluffed them and tried to lie.
Fail. They threw her in jail and served more warrants on SA. I'm sure she was furious about that because she doesn't like to lose.
BD's next move was to announce that it was all a misunderstanding and that she has some type of order to keep SA away from her, which makes her sound like a good person, right?
However, that was a bluff, too, because it only applies to her property, not her person. But not too bad unless she met up with him somewhere else and LE or a concerned citizen saw her . . .

Major "Win" for them.
LE has caught on to the way BD is trying to manipulate the system to make herself appear to be on the moral high ground. She admitted to using this tactic with CD when he called child services after the tattoo incident with DD and Billie retaliated by calling services to get Clint in trouble (which she said was a mistake - guess she just can't help herself).

ITA! How could these two <modsnip> people NOT crack under FBI interrogation? It's the one thing I can't understand. Seems to me the FBI would have beaten their stories to pieces. And eventually they would have cracked ya know?
IMHO not having a formal education and/or appearing to be not as bright as others has no bearing on whether or not a person will crack under interrogation. Example: Putnam County Florida, Cummings and Croslin families. (Haleigh Cummings case). We discuss this a great many times on different threads and in different cases. The only conclusion that I can come to is that if you keep your mouth shut and stick to your story and don't elaborate or creatively think on your feet, you can pretty much lie your hiney off and get away with it.

Looks like it might be just that to me. Trying to manipulate. I see a lot of manipulation and a lot of "poor little me" attitude coupled with a lot of passive aggression. A lot of that. The old I wouldn't hurt a fly and I"m not smart enough and never raise my voice and never.....routine. Can't explain it correctly but I know what I see when I see it. I am thinking she is making herself appear less intelligent and less threatening at all times in her life and uses that to her advantage. JMHO.
One thing though. Why would LE call her out in public? In such a way that the community would know that she was lying (her local community and national community?)---that at this time indicates to me that she is probably on their "list". Even if they haven't come right out and stated she is---that she is....JMHO and speculation.
(Way OT and FWIW, I have cousins that you would swear were intellectually challanged and in fact would probably think that you were perfectly safe to be around. God bless you if you do, I'm their own family and wouldn't turn my back on them for 5 secs. Seriously don't ever judge a book by it's cover because that book just might be sly like a fox). JMHO

I am SOOO torn about it. I don't know if she is being controlled or just plain stupid about everything! I mean right now I lean more towards pathological liar and know what happened to Hailey. I don't believe that she's stupid at all. I think she is quite clever in thinking up new and better lies and strategies for getting around the truth.
I think what we are seeing right now is somehow caught in her own tangled web and she can't believe it.
Intelligence isn't just a trait of nice people. ;) BD knows how to play the victim when it suits her, and she knows how to be the dumb little country girl when she thinks it will get her somewhere. She's a good actress, and can also put on a poker face when she needs to be calm. Where she slips up is in her constant defense of SA when so much evidence points to him.
But I've got to hand it to her ~ the fact that she is still out of jail at all is sort of amazing considering her situation, so whatever happens next should be quite fascinating. I'm sure she hasn't given up on trying to fool the public and the police, so I expect her excuses and stories to get even more elaborate and unreal.
The problem is that LE understands her game now and isn't pulling punches. They don't see her as a victim anymore, but as part of the problem.

The officer responding stated there was not a vehicle at the location and no contact was made.

The sheriff says Billie and Shawn met up on Saturday. Perhaps, they also met up on Sunday, too.
Billie is not afraid of Shawn---IMO, she knows SA may not have placed those unsent so-called threats to Billie on his cellphone notepad.
However, I do believe that Billie will be afraid of Shawn once he is arrested (Spill, SA, Spill.).

I was thinking along the same lines too SuziQ. Sounds like they were hunting someone down and/or making threats which is why the homeowner decided to call the police.

Hopefully someone can correct me, but I am thinking that so far, Billie has not lied about anything that can be proven a lie. She has changed details of things, has claimed LE has lied, or told her things that so far we cannot prove, she has lied by omission, perhaps...but I am starting to think she is smarter than me, and that bothers me. :(
Surely I am missing something...a lie that has been proven to be a lie? And not from the affadavit, as we don't know if any of that was taped so it isn't really "proof" as yet. I am thinking she is a pretty sly, crafty character.

I don't think it was a drug dealer that they were visiting because drug dealers don't liked to call the cops to their door. Saying the were ' looking for' someone does sound kind of threatening. Maybe that somebody ratted them out OR has something they want, or something they had hidden previously. But it sounded like the person called the cops for
their own protection, imo.
