Now saying 6.8 but apparantly it was strong enough to be felt in Bangkok.

Yikes! Thanks for posting this. My husband's ship is ported in Thailand right now.
ETA: Just checked a map, and they're about a thousand miles away from the epicenter, so I think they'll be just fine -- and maybe didn't even feel it.

This is saying there were actually 2 quakes. The first only 6 miles deep and the second 140 miles deep. Im getting spooked.

Are there tsunami warnings for the Pacific again?
I haven't checked on the internet Hockeymom but I've had the news on for about 30 mins and I haven't heard any announcements. (local news) I'll be sure to post if they say anything. We just have bad weather here today.

Too far inland for tsunami warning. This isnt getting much media ateention at all. This article says the depth and magnitude were similar to the earthquake in Haiti and 1-2 deaths reported.
