WOW!
That is an amazing story that really touches the heart. I am so glad she was able to be found. Can you imagine 8 days with no food or water? She is lucky it has been a bit cooler. But I bet the nights were almost too chilly. God bless this child!

I wonder when the police are going to see that not every child is a runaway.
Poor baby there for 8 days waiting for someone. You are right God is great. He made it where the love of a mother knew no bounds regardless of the lack of LE help.

I looked on the "missing" thread before I posted this, thinking I must have somehow missed seeing the report here on her being missing, but no one ever posted one, so that makes me think it wasn't well-publicized, no Amber Alert or anything. I agree that the police need to find a way to better differentiate between a runaway risk, and one who is not.
Thank God that she was found in time and I pray she makes a full recovery from her injuries.

doesn't it seem strange that the family said they had given her up for dead already while the police department said they weren't even looking for her - had just assumed she was a runaway...
seems like a big disconnect

We had already given her up and let her be dead in our hearts," her mother, Jean Hatch, told KOMO-TVI say it is great that the woman refused to give up and kept searching.

She could have died, but she did not. Instead, he allowed the lady from her church a view of where she was, and she was found. Focus on the good, or are you too negative a person to manage that?

I am a very positive person actually. I just hate to see people discounting accomplishments, their own and others, to the power of god, as if that person had nothing to do with the accomplishment.
No, I am not a negative person, also just because I do not agree with someones opinion, which I will disagree with, I do not attack posters on any of the boards I post on.

I just don't like to see the power of God or prayer discounted or made fun of. And you are so right, that woman and her daughter who found Laura were awfully brave and strong to go looking for her as the dream directed them. They are heroines, as well. I do apologize for being rude to you. :blushing:

It is beyond amazing that this girl was found. When I read in the paper this morning it was just hard to believe that the women who was a friend of the family had that dream and it actually was true. I'm not much into psychics...but I believe that things like this do happen and I think it's the Lord's work......
I know when my daughter died that my son Peter had gotten a message that she was dead. We are all Christians but Peter, my youngest has an amazing relationship with Christ. When I called him in Australia where he'd been surfing...he had just walked into office of the company he surfed for .........and had just flown in to that part of Australia.
He KNEW that his sister was dead. Peter told me the Lord spoke to him..it had never happened to him before.
That is how we established what time she had died because he had written down the exact time he had gotten the message and the coroner said that even though they couldn't establish the exact time......that Peter's was most likely correct.
The Lord has surely blessed this family.
