In addition, Farrell is known to enjoy camping in the Perkinsville and Coyote Springs outback areas, the release says. Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Forest Patrol deputies have searched these areas without success, and are now asking anyone with information on Ferrell to contact the Sheriff's Office.

Ferrell left his cell phone and vehicle behind, so it is possible he was picked up by a vehicle while he was walking, according to officials.

Arizona man still missing, is despondent, likely armed, authorities say

Authorities on Friday continued their search for a Coyote Springs man who is believed to be despondent and armed with a handgun.

The man, Terry Zane Ferrell, 48, was spotted Sunday at a Campe Verde restaurant near Arizona 260, just off Interstate 17, five days after he was reported missing, officials said. But deputies didn't get the tip until Thursday, according to Dwight D'Evelyn, a spokesman with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

Ferrell is likely armed with a handgun and in a despondent mental state, officials said.
