My name is Rob Watts. I am the owner of Big Dog Investigations, based in Southern California. I am working on a project that will enable my company to provide investigative services to families of unsolved homicides, FREE OF CHARGE. I am creating a list of such cases. Any help you can provide, with the list, would be welcomed. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Thank You
Rob

Sounds like a good idea, but I'm not willing to put the family through any more pain without a guarantee that no monies will EVER be requested from them as a result of being added to this list. Could you guarantee that?

I am not going to be contacting families, untill I am sure the project will provide FREE services. I have been putting together a list of cases, but figured someone may know of one I don't have. I have also been doing cold cases for awhile now. I know, all too well, what the families go through....that is the one reason why I am pushing this project. I have a pretty good list, so far, so if you are not comfortable, no worries. I understand and respect your point of view.

Dear Dogfather,

This was a homicide that occurred in West Hollywood back on Thanksgiving 1963. The coroner came out with this conclusion: She was strangled by a very powerful man, who used only one hand, his left.

All suspects took lie detector tests, which proved inconclusive. All the males questioned had dubious alibis. But I believe she was killed as a message to her gossip column/journalist father, Irv Kupcinet of Chicago. Irv was looking into the Ruby angle of the Kennedy Assassination. He became adamant in recent years when people brought up the Kennedy Assassination. According to Irv, there was no conspiracy in Kennedy's death. And he would get so angry.

Irv had friends in the Mob in Chicago. Some of these men wanted to go out to LA and see if they could find the killer. But Kupcinet turned them down. Walter Winchell was already out there and the cops were begging Irv to get him off the case. Kupcinet was always sorry he didn't hire a private detective and was bitter about how the LA Sheriff's Dept didn't find the culprit.

A few months after Karyn's death, a reporter who had been in Ruby's apartment the night he shot Oswald, Jim Koethe, died by a karate chop to the neck as he was getting out of the shower. I believe this same thing happened to Karyn -- a broken hyoid bone, flecks of blood on her face and a pillow from the suddeness of the injury, bleeding from her mouth, possibly suffocated to hurry it along.

I think a hit man from Chicago did it; maybe CIA-trained. It sent a message to all would-be reporters on the Assassination. And the mob tried to cover it up by offering help to Irv Kupcinet, whom I believe was in denial.

The parents are dead now. Her brother, Jerry Kupcinet, is a TV director in Hollywood. He has 2 children.

Can anyone refute or corroborate the above?

Tybee204,

Sorry, I didn't think I was solicitating. I am not asking for money or even contact info, just information on unsolved cases. I thought that was what the board was for. My project is getting off the ground and I just wanted to get more cases to work on. Again, I am sorry if that was taken as a solicitation. I will not post anything about the project on here again. I hope I didn't offend anyone. I work these cases, free of charge, and the last thing I want to do is add more stress on the families.
