Can anyone at all tell me why one would look at their dead pet and think of something like this?

I can't imagine getting any of my pets taxidermied. Seeing it every day would just make me cry more. Plus it kind of grosses me out. So I don't get this at all.
But my ex wanted to have our dogs taxidermied. He felt it would be comforting to him. I said nooo way. We were split up by then but had joint custody :-) When they passed he wanted to keep their ashes and I gladly let him. I didn't want those either.

Has anyone seen the video of the cat in flight?
Here's the video:

So what happens if there is an in-flight mis-hap ending in a crash landing? Does the cat...break apart? <cringe>

I think it's disrespectful to the cat. JMO
I never realized how many odd (and downright bizarre sometimes) people there are in the world until I started reading the internet.
