Locals, post your pictures here. You are encouraged to label them, but this is a no discussion thread.
Photos taken on 14th July 2012 after 3 days of rain in Brisbane - whereas on the previous weekend the creek was dry
The approach to Little Ugly Creek on Wirrabara Road - the road has an incline which is difficult to photograph
Armco railing on Little Ugly Creek, looking down to the Kholo Creek; dense vegetation

Little Ugly Creek showing it's accessibility from Wirrabara Road and the box culvert under the bridge
Little Ugly Creek after 3 days of rain in Brisbane showing it is shallow and has a gravel/sand bottom - very different to the tidal Kholo Creek which is influenced by the Brisbane River
View of the Little Ugly Creek showing the dense foligage - flowing down to Kholo Creek
Close up of the old bridge pylons for the old bridge across Wirrabara Road showing water pipe in distance - this small creek feeds into the much larger Kholo Creek and is not running all the time

Sending a Big Shout Out to our friends in Canada, Singapore, USA, UK and all the Aussies interstate - a Big Coo-ee to you guys.
Now here come the Little Ugly Creek photos taken yesterday (14 July 2012).
For your information and so as you can orientate yourselves - the Kholo Creek is tidal as we have said - the banks of the creek near the bridge are quite soft and muddy and the mud at the waters edge reminds me of the sort of mud around mangroves. It could very well be a different story further up this creek, where the bottom might become sandy gravel. IMO
The Little Ugly Creek, which flows into the Kholo, (quite close to the Kholo bridge) appears to be less influenced by the tidal rise and fall that affects the Kholo Creek mouth and at the Ugly Creek Bridge you can see it is muddy water flowing through but there is sand and gravel as you would expect in a stream that is close to a hill line.
I hope this makes sense and I am trying to paint a picture for our friends that live far away and cannot visit. If any of the locals or Brisbanites have more to add - please feel free to do so. MOO
The following photos were taken from the Kholo Bridge over Kholo Creek at high tide on 8 July 2012. As you can see, even though it is high tide, the mud bank where Allison was found is exposed above the waterline.

You can clearly see the Brisbane River in the background and as it is a tidal river, the lower reaches of the Kholo are affected by tides also.

All photos are labelled, so I won't bother reposting in here.
Minni asked us to take more photos of the mud at the bridge as she was trying to figure something out that she thought she had seen -

Low and high tide measurements can change. The main variable being the weather leading up to the tides e.g. Brisbane flood at high tide January 2011. Just something to take into consideration when looking at these photos. ***And now I realise I have 'discussed' in the wrong place and cannot delete. Sorry peeps.

So I've just been to Kholo Creek bridge for the first time via Moggill and Mt Crosby Rd My husband and I then drove back to Brookfield via Rafting Ground Rd past the showgrounds and the house. After today I most definitely believe the body was placed there (not rolled or dropped off bridge). I was surprised at the amount of traffic but it is Saturday and broad daylight. Here a few photos from today.http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/28/a5esaryd.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/06/28/yqa5ubun.jpg
