I just read the Amber Alert for the unknown girl who was abducted in New Jersey. This just really, really upsets me. It sounds like the girl was snatched while walking to school. Why haven't the schools in the area identified kids who are absent today, notified the parents, and ascertained the identity of this poor girl?
I guess I shouldn't jump to conclusions - maybe the schools are trying to contact parents at the moment, but it is now lunch time in New Jersey - seems like this could have been acomplished by now.
Thank God for the person who witnessed the abduction and got as many details as they could and notified the police.
