In summary: a woman who abducted her two small children to Mexico four years ago has "returned" them. She "returned" them by dropping them off near the border and leaving them -- both very young, under ten years old -- to CROSS THE BORDER BY THEMSELVES.

This really makes me furious. Border crossings are so dangerous even for adults and account for many deaths every year, and these were little kids. I'm picturing them all alone in the wee hours, digging away with sand trowels, and it breaks my heart. The fact that the Terranova children were kept from their father so long is bad enough but the way they were dumped on the border -- they could very easily have died.

I hope they don't drop the kidnapping charge against Ms. Terranova -- I hope she has to go to trial. What's more, I hope they charge her with child endangerment at the very least. This is really reprehensible. I usually don't rant in public like this, but...Jesus Christ, why are people so thoughtless and cruel?

Because they are selfish and think of no one but themselves.

Oh, those poor children. She must have been very selfish to kidnap her kids in the first place, and then to leave them to fend for themselves, at the ages of 8 & 5? A woman like that should never be able to see those kids again, or at least when unaccompanied.
