NASHUA — A young woman missing since August was found dead Saturday in the woods near a Massachusetts high school. Authorities identified the woman as Christina Lunceford, who was 20 at the time of her disappearance. A forensic examiner used dental records to identify the skeletal remains yesterday.

"There are a number of different factors that make it suspicious and we have to treat it as a homicide," said Melissa Sherman, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. also:

Same here- I didn't know she was missing until yesterday when I read about her body being ID'ed. :(

I wonder what the boyfriend knows.

This reminds me of Amie Riley, still unsolved.

It sounds like *someone* thinks the Kenyan immigrants might know something? This is the second article that mentions her "hanging around" with them.

Lack of evidence frustrates murder investigation

Investigators have been talking to the people who knew Lunceford in hopes of extracting some leads. She noted, however, that the Nashua Police Department already interviewed many of those people last year while investigating Lunceford's disappearance. One person who has since been re-interviewed is Lunceford's boyfriend, Larry Njau, 26, of Nashua. Police picked him up Monday during his nursing shift at Tewksbury Hospital and brought him to the Lowell, Mass., police station for questioning, he said.

Investigators also asked Njau about allegations that Lunceford had been using drugs, he said. Njau said she was known to drink and to use marijuana and GHB, a depressant that is typically used at raves or in nightclubs.
