Girl Thought Kidnapped Ran Away, Officials Say
A girl who authorities initially said was abducted from a Bradenton motel apparently ran away with a man she was involved with sexually to escape a physically abusive brother.
Authorities estimate the girl is 15, not 12 as initially reported. She is also two months pregnant, and authorities say the man they first identified as her abductor is probably the father of her unborn child.

From the way I read the article LE will be dropping all charges on the guy. The reasons they stated are that the girl was removed from an abusive situation, and that she left willingly.
The article also mentions that the guy and girl had been courting for several months.
But I suspect the main reasons for dropping the charges are probably this "Paulino-Perez, 25, is being held at the Manatee County Jail at the request of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Manatee Sheriff's Office spokesman Dave Bristow said. Paulino-Perez and the girl were in the U.S. illegally." Since they are being deported, the problem goes away.

she'll probably be back here to have her baby though- thus making the baby a citizen.

If they are deporting her, how can she be back here to have the baby? I don't live in a border state, so I don't know how these things work.

It's not all that hard to get across our borders. :(
I'm sure she will find a way.
I don't honestly blame her either. But at the same time, we really need to do Something about our Borders!

If the reason that she left with her boyfriend was to escape her abusive brother she will probably stay in Mexico with her boyfriend or family. If she came back here she would have nowhere to go but back to her brother. She probably also wants to stay with her boyfriend the father of her baby.

I thought that the brother was also a migrant worker and is here illegally as well???
