Just in on Fox news:

Authorities in Aruba arrested Thursday the father of Joran van der Sloot (search (http://javascript<b></b>:siteSearch('Joran%20van%20der%20Sloot');)), the 17-year-old held in connection with the disappearance of missing Alabama high school student Natalee Holloway (search (http://javascript<b></b>:siteSearch('Natalee%20Holloway');)).
The arrest does not necessarily mean that authorities believe that Paul van der Sloot knows what happened to Natalee. But Aruban law gives authorities significant leeway to hold someone in custody without charging them with a crime as a way to find out more about an incident.
