Shark Washes Up On Beach in QUEENS

The shark came ashore near 140th St. and the shoreline in Rockaway Beach.A Parks Enforcement Patrol officer discovered the male shark on the sand during a routine survey of a closed part of the beach, parks department spokesman Ashe Reardon said. The shark, which was dead when it was found, is between five and six feet long.
