Remains have been found in western Montana that are feared to be those of Dylan Groene. This breaks my heart. Poor little guy. Heaven has a new angel.

Thanks for that link. You all should check out that site and the blogs. Interesting.

I'm heartbroken over what is probably the location of Dylan's remains. What is this world coming to? :(

What I fear is the trauma and abuse that Shasta has suffered. It would not surprise me in the least if she witnessed her family being beaten to death and then witnessed molestation and murder of her best friend and brother, Dylan. God knows what kind of abuse she has suffered at the hands of this monster. He better be in protective custody because someone will take him out.

Does anyone wonder why this guy would chance being seen in Shasta's hometown? It doesn't make sense.

No mention of anything else at this home where they found the remains. I wonder if anyone else was there or if it was some abandoned cabin or if it was where Duncan and Shasta were staying...

Does anyone wonder why this guy would chance being seen in Shasta's hometown? It doesn't make sense. You can bet he is in a single cell and not jailed with the rest of the arrestees just because he is a known child molester and even if not a suspected murderer.

It makes Shasta's being found alive even more miraculous. Let's hope this weirdo stuck with his preference for boys and has not molested her. I cannot imagine why he would keep her alive if she witnessed him murdering anyone.

It was so good to see Steve on FOX last night, smiling over being with Shasta and hopeful they'd find Dylan alive. I just heard that Steve was seen outside the hospital being comforted by friends and family.

Poor guy.....this is so sad.

right...that's what i heard also...i never heard mention of a "home"...the guy; oh heck, can't think of his name, on Fox, mentioned, after the press conference, it was a camping area/campsite....

i bet, they found maps in the vehicle....i think Duncan kept them moving from camping area to camping area....

I didn't hear home or house either. It sounded to me as if it was at a campsite, but now I don't know.

They did say northern Montana, right?

With Duncan's past history of tieing up and beating his victims, I think he could very well have killed all of that family except Shasta and done it alone. I hope and pray Shasta was not forced to watch.................. I think he was capable of making her witness their torture and deaths.

Reports I've read was the mother, boyfriend, and brother were tied up and brutally beaten and murdered. The 14 yr old boy in Tacoma, WA that Duncan raped was beaten and burned.

This man is a monster!

If there was anyone else involved, they must be stopped.

everything i'm reading mentions "site" or "location"....nothing about a home/house....the guy on Fox was probably speculating it was a camping area...i think he's probably right....

western Montana...Thanks, close enough. Looks like on my Atlas that the entire area there is nothing but state parks and national forests on both sides of the Montana/Idaho border. And not far from the Canadian border either... which makes it quite fortunate for those of us who want this swine to get the death penalty.

It makes Shasta's survival even more stupefying. They just showed some photos on MSNBC taken yesterday of Shasta with her Dad and she looks remarkably well for someone who has been in the hands of such a monster for six weeks.

Leigh:

At this point, from what we have seen of this guy, I wouldn't put anything past him now. Monster is just one adjective to describe this poor excuse for a human being. I think over the next several days and weeks, we're going to find out much more about this guy than we ever dreamed.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their family and friends. They've had a hard time.....God bless them.

OMG, that is so sad and soooo horrible. I do hope its not Dylan, but unfortunately its somebody's child. I'm just so glad that Shasta was found alive. What a gift for Steve after losing his entire (almost) family, to find his little angel alive. I just hope he will give her a wonderful life and keep the bad things (drugs) away.

She seems to be a beautiful example of hope and courage.Yes, and the wonderful fact that very young children are so resilient.

We'll have to wait and see just how much she witnessed, or was aware of I guess.
