Tuesday, July 5th, there will be another KC Sheriff's Press Conference at 11am PDT.

Also, sometime tomorrow afternoon, there will be a Press Conference From Mineral County, Montana.

This Mineral County, Montana PC would lead us to believe that this is the county in which the human remains were located today.

Superior (County Seat)

I would guess that IF the remains are of anyone that maggot, JED, disposed of, I would take a wild guess that he would probably have done that in Saint Regis, just so "his Demons" could stick it in our face that the name of the city, which includes "saint" is being punished. It's only about 20 miles across the border from Idaho.

Also, the suspect's first appearance will be tomorrow.

My 11pm news station KXLY, just disclosed that the remains were found in ST. REGIS, just as I had guessed! They said the remains were found in a very remote area. Totally freaked out about my guess that it was probably in St. Regis, and it was! :eek:

Today's court time is in 2.5 hours at 1:30 PDT. Each news outlet will be allowed one rep in the small courtroom. There will be another press conference on the remains found at 3 PDT. FBI guy says some of the tips they have received have been very helpful. Investigation is onging of course and it is wide open, meaning other persons have not been ruled in or out.

What Shasta has advised is not going to be discussed. She is still staying at the hospital but no news as that is private.

I don't buy that for a minute and he is proof that all of those perverts interested in a child on any level should just be locked up for life. Giving them second and third chances just ends up with little children and anyone else in the way dead. The courts should do something but until they do, lock up your kids. They are just not safe.

No answers about any of the details of the investigation in order to not compromise the prosecution. I think they will have more to say after his court appearance...at least who his public defender is, etc.

I agree. Many of the population in the prisons have kids, and this is more than many of them provided for their kids. As far as making them work- don't most of them complain that on the outside they can't get a job? So give them a job while they are on the inside.

In California we can't even get a bill past committee that would have kept convicted predators from living near schools. The representatives aren't hearing our voices. We need to be heard. We need our anger to be heard in our respective state legislatures. Stop fuming at home and write letters!

This community needs to be self-reliant and not at tax payers expense. They can live their lives as productive citizens- but not in the general population. They can grow their own vegetables, raise their own livestock, build their own houses, whatever. They would also have devices implanted in their bodies that if they strayed within a specified distance from the perameter, they would get zapped, and returned to prison. Just a thought.

If that is true, then the only way to break this cycle, it seems, is to quarantine them so that they can not reproduce or victimize another child. Perhaps if it was offered as way to shorten their prison sentence, then they would have the "freedom of choice" of prison or this community.

I personally know a pedophile and I am skeered to death for his new wife and 2 liddle adorable girls. I know its going to happen, it is just a matter of when. So Sad.

Re integrating sexual predators into society after prison is an unmitigated failure.

Fear of more prison time is not a deterent.The vast majority of thses people WILL re-offend.There is no treatment for them that will alter their drive or desire to harm children.
They are chameleons so they do well in prison,rarely get discipilanary right ups.
They are very practiced at being personable and ingratiating so they dissarm staff frequently by assuming an eager to please ,un threatening front(the same front they use to snare victims.) and not causing problems to insure good treatment.
All of this ussually gets them parole at the earliest possible date.
Once again it comes down to whether we take the politicly correct path and place priority of the offenders rightsover the safety of this nations children or the people of this country take an active role in demanding change from our legislators.
Frankly I think this is more important then'The War On Drugs' and needs to be addressed.

We are a technologically advanced society. Lets put that to good use. Lets take one of these Military Bases that haved been closed down and build a fence around it. Put a tower in the middle of the Compound with a sort of homing device on it. Build a non-removable collar to put around the inmates neck that will explode the second they get outside of the Compound Perimeter. Let them raise food from the ground and raise cattle and livestock of various breeds. If someone tries to run BOOM problem solved. Heck you can even give them knives and guns. How about sending his wife some WORDS OF WISDOM? Like maybe an article on the average rate of re-offending?

If this woman married him knowing he's a pedophile, then she is commiting a crime also by exposing her children to danger and a life full of torment.

It has been said that pedophiles are "born" from being victims of another pedophile. If that is true, then the only way to break this cycle, it seems, is to quarantine them so that they can not reproduce or victimize another child. Perhaps if it was offered as way to shorten their prison sentence, then they would have the "freedom of choice" of prison or this community.

Have you considered a call to the Children's services in that area? Takes about 5 min. and can be anon. Another possibility is to contact this guys parole/probation officer and make him aware of the marriage and the presence of children in the home. Just in case he is not aware of it. You may not be able to locate who the actual probation officer/parole officer is, but you can locate the office (find the county he was convicted in and call the probation dept or find where he was incarcerated and check the website. Often they will list the dept he was paroled to) and call with his info and this info and they should be able to find the officer who deals with him.

Does the children's biological father know his ex-wife is living with a pedophile? I would imagine this would create quite a stir in family court, maybe even necessitating an immediate change of custody.

We are a technologically advanced society. Lets put that to good use. Lets take one of these Military Bases that haved been closed down and build a fence around it. Put a tower in the middle of the Compound with a sort of homing device on it. Build a non-removable collar to put around the inmates neck that will explode the second they get outside of the Compound Perimeter. Let them raise food from the ground and raise cattle and livestock of various breeds. If someone tries to run BOOM problem solved. Heck you can even give them knives and guns. If they decide to use them on one another again Problem solved. Make each and every one of them get "fixed" before entering so there is no chance of pro-creation if we have some women child molesters thrown in there.

If? We will. I know one, unfortunately, from some personal experience. They exist - it's just that people don't think they do that makes them so uncommon -seeming. And tons of them get out early anyway. It's much easier to overturn the conviction of someone if they are female.

Current studies show that chemical castration can work for some, but not all offenders. But even when it works, it only works if they stay on the ongoing medication program. If they quit taking the meds, the sexual desires return.
