Does anyone know the name of the song playing in the background of this video of JED?? I would like to google the lyrics. Here he is, at what appears to be a normal Thanksgiving family gathering with several generations of people including children. I hope there was no opportunity for him to be alone with these kids. :(

The video opens and closes with a pic of JED. I'm curious as to his choice of song to go along with the video...

Well, the choice is telling. It's a version of Miserere Mei which is a liturgical plea from psalm 51. "Oh Lord, Have Mercy Upon Me"

"Amplius lava me ab iniquitate mea
Et a peccato meo munda me.
(Wash me from my iniquity
And cleanse me of my sin.)"

If you google psalm 51 you can see the psalm in several versions.

I don't know who the artist is. I think it may be a trip-hop mix version of Sarah Brightman's Misere Mei. I might be able to find out.

I too wonder if he ever had improper contact to the children in the video. duncan is proof that humanity will destroy its own existance.

Did you notice how little smiling and laughter there was in that family? Everyone, except the little kids and the one young redhead, looked very disconnected. You don't see much interaction. It didn't look like any holiday celebration I've ever seen.

What I noticed was that he went from a pic of himself, to several pics of a baby girl. There were more pics of her than anybody. There were even more of her, than of the little boy.

I had trouble opening this Thanksgiving webcam It started with his photo the the photo of the little girl in the purple parka...then my computer gave me an error message and that was it..

But if you look at the photo of the scuba diving you see he has photos or mentions his friends Derek and Chad. Interesting

Also in his guest book there is mention and email address of a niece, and friend Joni, male or female (?) amd Alan Bartow (AKA Big Al)

I think most of this site is being dismantled by someone.

Yes that is sad his own family is now ruined also. That family didnt look too happy though everyone looked depressed. Even the smallest of children werent smiling or looking very happy.

That family was destroyed a long time ago.
And they were probably all very unhappy because HE was there. Having the molester uncle show up at Thanksgiving is never a reason to celebrate.

:blowkiss: Thank you so much Mirielle! JED's choice of song is indeed telling, imo. I believe the artist is Libera (a boy's choir in the UK)...
Libera - Salve Me

Domine Deus miserere mei

Carry me away from the dark I fear
when the storm is near
from the endless night
from my blinded sight
to a sky of light

Free me to fly away
Salva Me

Domine Deus miserere mei

Carry me away from the things that harm
on a sea of calm
from the endless night
from my blinded sight
to a sky of light
Free me to fly away
Salva Me

Domine Deus miserere mei

Salva

When looking at the photos, I was reminded of gatherings at the home of my ex's parents, where everyone considered attendance an obligation rather han a privilege. All those people eyeing each other askance, with arms and legs crossed. They were obviously not too thrilled that Duncan ws there.

At Ex's family gatherings, they weren't too happy to see us, and that was just because he had "long" hair, and I was considered a "bad influence." Back in the 70's, but still...

My first husband had a "funny uncle" that everyone was uneasy around, and it was teling that he was never allowed to be alone with my nieces and nephews.
No doubt even if Duncan HAD fled to his family, they probably would have turned him in.

I hope so! However, I know of several families I have visited, and been told not to leave my kids alone in the same room with a certain family member. A lot of families just seem to accept such behaviour..."Oh, that's just Uncle Perv. Just avoid him when you can..."

What an idiot, piece of S***!

His family sure didn't look too thrilled to have HIM there, huh? Notice he wasn't in too many of the pics, I wonder if it's cuz he was taking them or they just didn't want him in any pics!

That seems to be the prevailing attitude towards child sexual abuse in the country. It has to change before anything real can happen re the laws.

Dannyodie, I have to say that that is exactly what I felt when I watched this video - I felt sad for his family. For those that had no idea of what JED was capable, can you imagine the horror after learning of his atrocities, knowing that this is the man with whom you've spent your holidays; the man you've let hold your children? I don't imagine that life will ever be the same for any of those people. (They were probably all equally horrified at the news as it came out of C'da. To find out that it was your family member? I just can't imagine.) I feel especially bad for the adolescent boy - this kind of story is bad enough for children of his age to see on the news let alone to find out that your family member committed. I see new meaning behind his expression "question everything". How can you have a family member like this, and not end up questioning what capabilities you yourself might have of which you are unaware.

The creepiest part of this video, for me, is the picture of him with his laptop and his family members (?) gathered around. If they had only known ... good Lord, this is too much.

My music reference source is my son and he didn't recognize the song in the Thanksgiving video.

He did, however, recognize the music in JED's Reality video. It's 'Down with the Sickness' from the 'The Sickness' album by 'Disturbed'.

Lyrics are at the link below. You have to scroll down a bit. Warning: these lyrics are the explicit version, and give major heebie jeebies in relation to JED. The lyrics to the other songs on the album (I'm assuming JED liked all of them) are worth a read too (if you're in the mood for heebie jeebies). Some of these lyrics may have been where stuff in JED's last few blog entries came from.

Geez, you're right about the lyrics giving readers the heebie jeebies, TOH! I've never seen anything like them before. Morbid, sadistic, brutal & vulgar ... right up JED's alley, imo!

Partial lyrics to "Down with the Sickness" that got my attention were with regards to his relationship with his mother were:

And when I dream
No mommy don't do it again
Don't do it again
I'll be a good boy
I'll be a good boy, I promise

No mommy don't hit me
Why did you have to hit me like that
Don't do it you're hurting me
Why did you have to be such a *itch

Why don't you
Why don't you f* off and die
Why can't you just f* off and die
Why can't you just leave here and die

Never stick your hand in my face again *itch
F* you I don't need this ****
You stupid, sadistic, abusive f*ing w**re
How would you like to see how it feels mommy
Here it comes, get ready to die

Another song's lyrics that creeped me out alluded to scaring someone that he was able to discern, who to love and who to burn.

Even though most of the lyrics are revolting, I thank you for bringing this to our attention, TOH! I'd never have figured that out!

Wow, what a charming band to be on our store shelves for our children's access. What a great world.

This band is absolutely sickening. I knew it before now but reading the lyrics together, it shows you what trash they create. And the sad part is that they probably do it knowing that they'll sell a ton of albums. (My apologies to anyone that likes Disturbed but I'm in Mommy mode - I think they're shameful.)

Thanks, TOH! I had no idea what that music was. It is disgusting, loud noise (to me anyhow) and very very dark...I don't think this music is something that anyone with any maturity would enjoy. It sounds geared to self-pitying early adolescent males. This is just one more thing that makes me think that Duncan never developed emotionally beyond the age of 13 or 14.

Disturbed's music is disturbing, to say the least. I don't know IF any albums are 'X-rated' but, this one should be, imo!

There's an edited and an unedited version of that CD. My son recognized the music, and like an idiot, I bought the unedited, before I even looked at the lyrics. I just wanted to get more of an idea of what kind of music JED listened to. I can't imagine what my neighbors think of this tired old hag now LOL.
