CNN--right now saying the real story is that contractors were shot at and NOPD responded and shot the gunmen who were shooting at the Army Corp engineers.

Army Corps of Engineers says its contractors NOT KILLED.

Goodness, even Yahoo had the headline "Contractors Killed by Police" but when I clicked, it didn't say that. They updated too fast. Casshew's edited post is right: contractors were being shot at and NOPD shot the gunmen.

CNN really goofed big time.

As authorities struggled to keep order, police shot and killed at least five people Sunday after gunmen opened fire on a group of contractors traveling across a bridge on their way to make repairs, Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley said.

Fourteen contractors were traveling across the Danziger Bridge under police escort when they came under fire, said John Hall, a spokesman for the Army Corps of Engineers. None of the contractors was killed, Hall said.

Unbelievable isn't it? I think some of the gunmen lived so they will be going to the big house. Why do people do such crazy things? Did they really think they could take on the police and win. Pure stupidy.
