It appears they didn't get to Florida, Texas, and California as they had planned. On Tuesday, a police investigation into a house the boys often visited turned up a gruesome discovery.

Looks like the accused has a history of this sort of crime.

A man with a history of violence against boys was charged with murder Thursday in connection with the deaths of three teens found buried in the basement of the house he was living in, police said.
The victims have been identified by Lake County Coroner David Pastrick as Nick James, 19, James Raganyi, 16, and Michael Dennis, 13. All three had been missing for a number of months.
Suspect David Maust -- in police custody since Tuesday -- has confessed to killing Raganyi as the two drank together, according to police.

Just wondering why the recent post of that old article. Is there some other news? Maust killed himself in January of 2006. He attempted suicide, but didn't die right away. He lay in the ICU in the hospital three blocks from my home until finally passing.
