The case of a woman missing since 2002 is getting new attention after a six-figure reward has been issued for information leading to solving the case.

Carla Losey, 20, disappeared on Dec. 31, 2002. Weeks ago, the reward for information leading to Losey was only $2,000, but Crime Stoppers announced Friday that it will offer a $100,000 reward for information that could help them to solve the case.

Losey's mother said that at about 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2002, Losey left her family's home. She said Losey went to a club on West Broad Street, then known at El Grotto's, where she worked as a dancer.

"I just want to know why. If it's good or bad, I just want to know why," Conners said.

The $100,000 reward money was pledged by the same Pennsylvania man who contributed to the Julie Popovich reward fund.

"Maybe we can bring Carla home," said Pam

Review of facts above and a statement by Carla's Mother that she believes she is no longer alive at link above.

My thoughts are with Carla's family. May their prayers be answered and may she come home soon to you.

It's obvious the amount of information her family has tried to keep in the public eye, that they love and miss her very much.

Prayers ~kat~

The third, Carla Losey, was 20 when she was last seen on New Year’s Eve 2002 leaving a Hilltop bar with an unknown man.

“I want her home,” said Pam Conner, 54, Losey’s mother. “If it means we have a burial for her, or if it means we just have to make a psychiatrist’s appointment for her ... I want to know.”

Her sister (Carla's) posted on the NHRC thread (now locked). I don't think she ever came back to the board. Hopefully she will.

The Columbus Police Missing Persons Unit handles some 6,500 cases a year. "Out of those, very, very few are not located," said Columbus Police Missing Persons Unit Detective Jon Compson. Like the rest of the world, these detectives have been watching in amazement the news out of Cleveland. Compson says it brings them new hope of solving our city's long-term missing cases. "This is probably 8 of the 20, 25 cases we're actively working that tend to be long-term or cold cases."

Carla Losey is one of those cases.
