That's not really out of the ordinary for Yellowstone this time of year. The normal daily low temperature is 26.1 degrees on september 23rd, and 28.6 for the month of September, so add a little precip, and you've got snow.

I grew up less than 100 miles from there, and we sometimes had snow on or before Halloween.

Yellowstone also has the lowest recorded temperature ever in the US for the month of September back around 1926 or so.

Actually 6 months of snow is starting to sound like it's not too bad considering recent weather events.

i love yellowstone park, and would LOVE to be there right now in the snow as opposed to the 95 degree weather here in charleston sc! :eek:
