Update on Missing Teen

Williston, Vermont

Vermont State Police hope an appearance on national TV will help them find a missing teenager from Westford. Dominika Smolinski was last seen in Westford in August 2004. A Public Service Announcement appeared Thursday night after the CBS show "Without a Trace"-- a drama about missing persons. Police hope the exposure on national television will bring the 17 year old home.

"We want to get the word to her to call home, call state police, call her local police. Her parents want to hear from her and we want to find her. We think she's alive, we feel she's alive. With this exposure, if she hears about this, or friends or people that see her call in, that just makes it easier and gives us a better chance of locating her," explains Vt. State Police Det. Joseph Leahy.

Police consider Dominika Smolinski an endangered runaway. They believe she originally hitchhiked to Massachusetts, but now may be in another state. Police are asking anyone who knows where she is to call them.

Smolinski has been reunited with her family.
