SAS MAN 'SELFISHLY MURDERED SICK SON'

A FORMER SAS soldier selfishly murdered his terminally ill 10-year-old son then claimed it was a mercy killing, a court heard yesterday.

Andrew Wragg, 38, told his wife he looked into disabled Jacob's eyes and saw he had no future.

But prosecutors claim it was a "selfish killing" because Wragg could not cope with his son's illness.

He is on trial for a second time after a jury failed to reach a verdict on a murder charge earlier this year. Wragg smothered Jacob with a pillow then dialled 999, Lewes crown court heard.

Prosecutor Philip Katz QC said: "It was Mr Wragg's perceived way out of a situation he found too difficult to cope with."

Yesterday he denied murdering Jacob who had the rare degenerative disease Hunter Syndrome.

You don't murder your children no matter how terminable you perceive it to be. I know about this ....kids can live even when the doctors are sure about a demise. This is just a selfish parent who didn't want to go through the trouble. He deserves the death penalty...just damn him. This upsets me so much. Does anyone know where Sherlock is? Father cleared of sick boy's murder
Former soldier Andrew Wragg has been sentenced to two years in jail suspended for two years for the manslaughter of his terminally-ill son. He was cleared of murder by a jury at Lewes Crown Court.

Wragg, 38, admitted killing 10-year-old Jacob on July 24 last year, but denied murder.

Mr Wragg, a former SAS soldier who had worked as a private security guard in Iraq, claimed he was suffering from an abnormality of mind when he suffocated the boy at the family home in Worthing, West Sussex. Jacob suffered with a rare genetic disorder Hunter Syndrome.

Of course he's "abnormal" in the mind!! No one in their right mind does what he did. All murders are not in their right minds. They should be in prison, and he should be there longer!! :furious:
