Local teenager missing
December 23, 2005
A Troy woman has been left with few clues, and even fewer answers, following the disappearance of her son a week ago from a juvenile boot camp in Coffee County.
Angela Siler of Troy said she has not heard anything from her 17-year-old son Antwarn Rayshun Siler, who is believed to have run away from the Pathways boot camp outside of Enterprise.
Siler said her son had been sent to the boot camp as a result of increasing behavior problems. Antwarn spent several months at the facility but was scheduled to go home on December 15, the same day he turned up missing.
"Last Thursday I was getting ready to go pick my son up from Pathways when I received a call about 8:30 a.m. and they said 'Mrs. Siler, We have some bad news'," Siler said.
Siler said when Pathway employees went to wake the juveniles up at approximately 5:30 a.m., Antwarn was not found.
Pathways filed a report with the Coffee County Sheriff's Department following Antwarn's disappearance. Coffee County Sheriff Ben Moates said indications are that Antwarn simply walked away from the facility.
