There is no Doe Network Page for Ruth, and I couldn't find any other site with her case.
Last summer a man became a suspect. Last week he led police to where she was buried. An autopsy will determine cause of death.
His name can not be released as he was not an adult (minor) at the time.

You have got to wonder why after all this time he led police to her remains. A budding serial killer that was nipped in the bud?

Possibly. I wondered the same thing myself.
The police, in Canada, have to be VERY careful what information they give out when its a youth offender situation as the rules are extremely clear.
I suspect he got into some kind of trouble and as part of a plea bargain for the new charges he offered to tell them where the woman was buried.
That's total speculation on my part though. I find it hard to believe he confessed out of "guilty feelings" after all this time. Even if someone else turned him in it would be unlikely he would just lead them to the body... unless it is being used as leverage against other charges that are pending?
Or it was an accident (like a car accident) and because he was a kid at the time, he panicked and hid the body?
Until cause of death is determined we don't know for sure it was a homicide.
The time lag is certainly odd....
