Police Search For Missing Massachusetts Woman

NEWBURYPORT, N.H. -- Officials are searching two states for a missing Massachusetts woman who was moving to New Hampshire.
Michelle Harrison, 55, was in the process of moving to New Hampshire when she disappeared. Police said that she was last seen Thursday night.

Harrison's purse, wallet and main set of keys were found inside her apartment, but her white Subaru Legacy, license and credit card are missing.

Anyone who may have information about Harrison's whereabouts is asked to contact the Newburyport Police Department at (978) 462-4411.

A Newburyport woman who has been missing for a week may have been spotted 270 miles from home in a small town in northern Maine.

One person reported seeing Michele Harrison, 53, of High Street, in a bar in Millinocket, Maine, a town of 5,000 residents north of Bangor, while two others said they saw her in a department store in that town. Even a Millinocket police officer thought he spotted the missing woman.

I'm watching the 11:00 Boston news, and Michelle Harrison's car was found in the water (Atlantic Ocean) off the coast of Rockport, MA. A body was found in the car (not yet identified).

The Essex D.A.'s office says the body is 53-year-old Michele Harrison. The cause of death has not been determined but the D.A. says it does not appear to be suspicious.
