"While it is becoming less and less likely Alison will be found alive, we must keep an open mind and every possible angle must be considered."

The mother of a boy found dead in the Humber estuary made a 999 call on the day they are feared to have jumped to their deaths, police have revealed.

Very sad story, whatever happened. :(

Post-mortem examinations on Ryan, who was autistic with a mental age of seven, have proved inconclusive, police said.

Is 999 the same as 911?

I believe 999 is used in Britain... it's like our 911

That's correct, emergency services - useful to remember if you ever visit Britain.

110 for German Police.

112 German Ambulance/Fire Brigade.

As they wait for news of his mum Alison, her sister Lindsay Cook said: “Although Ryan had Fragile X Syndrome, he was a cheerful, outgoing, friendly boy who loved football and riding his bike.
“He enjoyed company and was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

MISSING: Alison, 40.FEARS are growing for a missing mum after the body of her 12-year-old son was found in the River Humber.

Alison Davies, who suffers from severe depression, left an apparent suicide note saying she was travelling from her Stockport home with her boy Ryan to the Humber Bridge. Ryan suffered from Fragile X Syndrome - a condition with similarities to autism.

In the letter, she said she and her child were going to the massive suspension bridge so her family "would not have to worry anymore".

This so sad. Poor Ryan. This quote from Alison's sister makes me think Ryan's mum may have had depression/mental health issues for a while. "We would also like to highlight the ongoing plight of families coping with mental health and learning disability issues in order to spare other families from experiencing this pain." It's all just so tragic.

How very sad that she felt she had no better options. May they both rest in peace in a much better place.
