Tom Gorman on when parents learn their missing daughter was a Vegas call girl
Las Vegas call girls are not likely to tell their moms and dads what they do for a living. It would break too many hearts.
Jessie Foster's parents learned the hard way, from a private eye. He was hired after Jessie disappeared from a North Las Vegas home with all of her belongings.
And now they are numbed by fear that she is in danger, or is dead.
Jessie left her Canadian home nearly a year ago, around the time of her 21st birthday, for what her parents thought would just be a whirlwind tour of the states. She ended up in Las Vegas. With her good looks and casual conversation, she turned eyes and easily made friends here.
In short order she moved in with a fellow named Peter Todd, a 39-year-old Jamaican national who lives in a half-million-dollar tract home in a swank North Las Vegas neighborhood. A neighbor said Peter has driven home some fancy cars - a Jaguar, a Land Rover, a BMW.
Jessie told her parents - Glendene Grant and Dwight Foster, who have been divorced for years - that Peter was a trust-fund baby. He had enough money to take care of her so she wouldn't have to work, she said.
Jessie used to call her father every week, and her mom even more often. She text-messaged her big sister almost daily.
The last time they saw Jessie was over Christmas, when she went home to visit her dad in Calgary, and her mom in Kamloops. She sounded happy and looked good. They asked her to think twice about returning to Las Vegas, but she wouldn't be stopped.
In late March, Jessie's phone calls stopped. Her parents called the fellow she had been living with, Peter. He said he last saw Jessie on April 3. Next thing he knew, he said, she was gone and so was all of her stuff.

This case is similar with a rich boyfriend too....this girl disappeared last May....I wonder if they are connected to a ring that lures young girls in with promises of making it big in Vegas....?? (It is uncanny how much these girls look alike especially in this picture at this link http://www.klastv.com/Global/story.asp?S=4391617&nav=menu102_2_1 - I can't get one of Jesse's pictures to copy but they could be sisters)

Lindsay grew up in small-town America
Lindsay Harris left her small hometown of Skaneateles, N.Y in January 2003 with a plan in mind. She left for the cross-country drive to California eager to start a new and adventurous chapter of her life.
The shy, funny 19 year old had a new boyfriend, then-26-year-old Solomon Barron, whom she had met at a jazz festival in Syracuse. Solomon was a hip-hop promoter with businesses in Syracuse and Las Vegas, and it was there in Sin City that Lindsay planned to start anew.
Initially, Lindsay lived with her aunt in San Diego, but two months later relocated to Las Vegas and secretly moved in with Solomon. Martha and Robert Harris, Lindsay's parents, knew nothing of Solomon Barron until Christmas 2004, when she brought him home. On May 5, 2005--just five months after their visit--Solomon was calling the Harrises with bad news: Lindsay was missing.

It is almost frightening how similar the photographs look, simply chilling.
I have a question, and I really apologize if you've already been asked a million & one times; however, I did a short search at google, and got NOTHING, so maybe it hasn't been discussed anywhere.
The pics of the women you provided links to, they reminded me alot of Natalee Holloway, and then when I continued reading, the man Solomon really 'stuck out' because one of Natalee Holloway's friends who was interviewed on TV last year is named, "Beau Baron." I couldn't immediately locate any connection, although rootsweb results did show several barons with first name of Solomon a in Alabama LONG LONG LONG ago.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence, that so many young blonde women look so very similar, but really, it is EERIE in a chilling sense, and then when I saw that name, decided after Google to ask you if you knew of any connection.
Another MAYBE "coincidence" has to do with music... Maybe you already know this, but if not... there is a huge annual music festival in Aruba each Memorial Day weekend, I think it's called something like Soul Beach Festival, and it attracts thousands from the USA, and the night of the concert coincided with Natalee's disappearance.
Let me know if you'd like me to delete this message, I'm sure there's NOTHING to it, it's just kind of uncanny.

Hi Wondering:
Sorry it took so long to get back to you...
I believe Lindsay's boyfriend's last name is spelt Barron (two r's) so probably no connection to the NH "Baron"...
I'm glad you see the resemblence too...probably an odd coincidence but the similarity in their family lives is what really struck me. These were two girls from good homes...(could be yours or mine) who more than likely had big dreams to "make it" one day with their looks...so off they go to "get rich & famous"...while gone they report back that they have met successful (wealthy) men and Mom and Dad nod and go hmmm...well, they must be doing okay....when in reality the parents had no idea what was really going on!!
This really bothers me as I believe that there are "men" specifically "set up" (by big money) to lure these young girls into a life they have no intentions of living...but once "inside" there literally is no "getting out" for them...(there are many depraved individuals who have way more money than "morals" and will pay whatever amount it takes to fufill their sick fantasies....IMO)
While searching for a little info on these cases I visited some of the Escort websites for Las Vegas...a number of the pictures of the girls on these sites had their faces blurred out...I wondered, why? Is someone not wanting them to be found or do you believe the girl's themselves are not wanting to be recognized? Which one is it??

Jessie dated a hip hop dj from calgary named john prior to her travels. The two girls do have a lot in common.Hi There:
Sorry, I wanted to thank you for posting Jesse's website on this thread. What a beautiful girl! My heart goes out to her family as well as Lindsays....these two girls touched a special inside of me because when I read the stories I could see this happening to a member of my own family.
This could happen to anyone.....don't give up looking....if you need help, WS is one of the best and most respected crime sleuthing communities on the net...we have some of the brightest minds visit our site! Media outlets peruse this site as well as reknowned crime bloggers like Steve Huff http://huffcrimeblog.com/ .
All you need is some media attention brought to the forfront pointing out the similarities and perhaps it might generate some new leads. I am facinated with the coincidences in these cases right down to the girls looking so much alike!
Are you at all connected to Jesse's family? Since WS is a sleuthing community sometimes things are said on the discussion thread that may appear insensitive to the families....this is never our intent, our intent is to throw all our ideas into the mix and to discuss.
There is a thread called "Missing Persons Information and Support" where families are encouraged to post and where information, updates, news releases are posted on behalf of the family. I started this thread in the discussion area as I received Jesse's flyer through my email at work and the person that posted the email knew the family personally. I searched for some information online to add to the flyer post but there wasn't much available on the net.
Welcome to WS and good luck in finding Jesse. My prayers are with you!

Hi Wondering:
Sorry it took so long to get back to you...
I believe Lindsay's boyfriend's last name is spelt Barron (two r's) so probably no connection to the NH "Baron"...
I'm sorry. It was a typo. My typo.
Beau BARRON has the *same* surname as Solomon BARRON.
And in this day and age of step-families and huge extended families, it matters not that they are not of the same race, particularly since in some parts of the American South, extended families are quite close, with people being able to instantly tell you all about ALL of their second, third cousins, and second cousins/5th-removed, etc.
-----------------
Are you aware that there was an article in a Dutch paper in the past couple days about pimps in Holland preying on young women with learning disorders?
If you haven't read it, you must track it down, as it would definitely interest you.
----------------
Do you by any chance know if anyone has researched to find out if there was a RAINBOW GATHERING anywhere in Canada/America/Mexico near the time of Jessie's disappearance?
I realize, that to all EXTERNAL appearances, that she might not "appear" to be interested in a hippy gathering; however, who knows what horrors her life MIGHT have entailed, and so... IF there was a RAINBOW GATHERING anywhere around the time of her disappearance.... it's possible that she took off and went there, and is even now befriended by members of the "Rainbow Family" --- it's international, and I only have been reading about them for a few days so don't feel knowledgable enough to comment much further.
I started researching them on the Internet, because I believe that Natalee Holloway is alive..... and I'm really surprised with LOTS of stuff I've read, because the movement is massive, and economically speaking, much of it is probable "underground" and untracable.

Until a body is found, I will believe that she is alive.
Has anyone contacted any of the numerous organizations who assist ex-prostitutes? I'm thinking that they might be able to offer some experienced advice on what she'd do nex, where she'd go, if she did leave Las Vegas of her own volition.
For instance, would it have been important for her to anonymously skip town?
I found lots of search results at google's advanced search, using the exact phrase, "for ex-prostitutes"
Also, I wonder if mailing flyers to Sushi restaurants might provide some tips on her current location?

I'll bet the people who run this other website that I found at google could help you out:
http://www.sushiref.com/faq.html
For instance, MAYBE there is a trade industry publication specifically for sushi restaurants, and they'd donate you space to run a Missing Adult Poster.
I didn't really explore the page, but apparently there are links to lists of sushi restaurants in lots of cities -- I dare say that, due to the nature of your request for assistance, should you ask for it, that they'd be happy to help out any way they possibly could.

Thanks for doing this and for keeping Jesse's thread alive :blowkiss:

I am curious though of the previous poster's mention of another girl that worked for an escort service that went missing. Do you happen to have a name or more details concerning this??
I am also wondering if Jesse was a dancer or if she only worked for a Las Vegas escort service. Do we know the name of the escort service? I keep thinking about the websites I visited (some with blurred out photos) and if we knew which agency perhaps it might make the search more meaningful.....

Hi, joanofarc.
I've been thinking about some of the points you've made, and I guess I disagree about the men intentionally luring these young women --- MAINLY because, we all know who these males are --- we have their identities, and that just doesn't seem to be a very likely m.o. for criminally luring young girls into high stakes prostitution.
How I would interpret what I believe is the same circumstances leading you to your conclusion, is that both these young women, and God only knows how many others just like, put themselves into VERY DANGEROUS PREDICAMENTS, where they were subject to blackmail - as none of their childhood friends nor their families of origin had any idea as to their actual real life activities.
I am VERY curious how both males were actually making a living -- as obviously, neither of them are "trust fund" babies, and there is way too much conspicuous consumption.
Another reason I tend towards this .... "YOU DO AS I SAY, OR I'LL TELL YO MAMA & DADDY" is that then it can become believable that they ran away from Las Vegas, and although still too embarressed to face their parents, they are alive and well ---- SOMEWHERE.
And who knows where that somewhere could be, couldn't it be virtually anywhere, presuming they were earning scads & scads & scads of money, right?
In regards to the second issue, I have no idea why escort services BLUR the faces, but maybe it's because the photos of the women they use on their website are NOT the actual escorts ---- somewhere something like that "rings a bell" with me, but can't even begin to imagine when/where I ran across that ------ maybe it was an article about Mail Order Brides from Russia, that the photos that ALL these "woman-selling" businesses are engaged in, that all of them use FAKE PHOTOS.

Hi Wondering:
I just wanted to reply to your post of disagreeing with me on the theory that there are "men" specifically set up to lure these girls....
IMHO that is precisely "how" they make their living....by grooming niave young women with the specific goal to eventually turn them over to their wealthy associates.....

A month ago, Dwight Foster, Jesse's dad hired Las Vegas detectives investigator Mike Kirkman to find his daughter.

I'm actually quite sure you're correct; however, I am still really startled with their flagrant disregard for being identified, it's simply outrageous, flaunting their criminal lifestyle.

I think it's important that phone numbers where anonymous information can be given, where total confidentiality is assured, that such numbers are prominently displayed.
Maybe someone has seen something, but they are afraid of LEOs learning anything about them, so are hesitant to come forward.

1-800-222-8487 is a crimestoppers number but I am still not sure if it works in both the US and Canada.
Peter Todd may have sold the house recently however I am starting to wonder if he owned the place, if that is really his name and if he has run into similar situations in the past.
Maybe someone will recognize his picture.

Each state has its own crimestoppers. (702) 229-3445 is the correct number for the Las Vegas Crimestoppers.
The web site is at http://www.crimestoppersofnv.com (http://www.crimestoppersofnv.com)
I 000000have not yet located a 1-800 number for the US.
Jessie's mom has contacted crimestoppers and they have been very helpful so thank-you so much for your help.

Peter B. Todd is his real name and his marriage record can be found at:
http://www.co.clark.nv.us/recorder/mar_srch.htm
(marriage certificate #C848333)
The house owner "Sierra 2598" refers to the "professional" name of his wife referenced in the above record. She was well known both as a legal prostitute at the Chicken Ranch brothel in Nye County and for her private "escort" business. Her escort website appears to now be shut down, but google returns multiple references and third party reviews. The site was http://www.sierraoflv.com (http://www.sierraoflv.com/)
This longstanding marriage and relationship adds credence to the "pimp" speculation raised in previous posts.

Any ideas about how we can keep the media interested in the case?

MUTUAL MISERY WHEN DAUGHTERS DISAPPEAR
By Abigail Goldman <abigail.goldman@lasvegassun.com (abigail.goldman@lasvegassun.com)>
Las Vegas Sun
Missing
Click here for a printable graphic (http://www.lasvegassun.com/graphics/missingdossier.pdf).
You could say that Lindsay Harris' parents were somewhat uncomfortable when their 19-year-old daughter moved to Las Vegas. And you could say Jessie Foster's parents felt the same when their daughter, 21 and another thin blonde, left home in a similar fashion - suddenly, and on the arm of a man they barely knew.
But, like most good girls from small towns know they should, Harris and Foster phoned home all the time. Well-meaning, white-toothed and wide-eyed, the girls called their mothers, but always to talk around the truth: Harris said she was working as a dancer; Foster said her boyfriend supported them with his trust fund.
Both, in fact, were prostitutes. And their families would only find that out after each girl had suddenly vanished. Harris and Foster, strangers to each other, were swallowed by the Strip where they plied their trade, months apart but in much the same manner: whole, and without a trace.
Harris was last seen alive in May 2005; Foster disappeared in early April this year. Both had police records for prostitution, and both lived with boyfriends that nobody in their families exactly adored. Working girls, no less, in a city that sees certain types like tides.
Neither daughter has swiped her credit card, touched her bank account or used her cell phone since the last confirmed sightings. Neither has called her mother.

Additional info:
Peter Bertrand Todd uses multiple birthdates. (June 1966, Feb 1967)
He has a twin brother, James Andrew Todd. Their father's name is
Bertrand Todd
Peter married Trish Michelle VanArsdale (aka Sierra), they have a son named Seth.
The couple lived at 1905 Gifford St. N Las Vegas NV before moving to an upscale
home at 1009 Cornerstone, N. Las Vegas NV.
Trish was a prostitute. She used the alias "Sierra" for work and the pair had a business called Sierra 2598 Inc. that was operated from home. It was listed as a vacation rental/time share business. I would assume she was sharing time with men. I don't think the house was being rented out. Not sure if 2598 signifies a date 2/5/98, etc...
After Jessie disappeared the house was vacant and eventually went into foreclosure. Not sure if her disappearance is relevant to why they moved.
A man named Jose Garcia shared both addresses.
Peter could possibly have ties to the following locations:
Atlanta GA
Kennisaw GA
Houston TX
Kent WA
Oklahoma City OK
Las Vegas NV
N Las Vegas NV
The Colony, TX (4609 Freeman Dr)
Todd didn't contact LE when Jessie went missing and when questioned, said she was already a "hooker" when he met her. Not very kind words to say about your missing "girlfriend'. The family first spoke with Todd on 4/9/06. Todd said Jessie left and even identified each item of luggage she supposedly took
On Sierra's defunct website, it has an engagement request form for perspective John's to complete no less than a week in advance of your desired date. It allows you to specify a date, time and any preferences you might have. She also has a per hr price list. Her "Time share" list I should say. (The price list will explain how they maintained their lavish lifestyle.)
It is possible Jessie had a website or Myspace page designed like Sierra's. We need to find out what Jessie's alias was when she was 'dating' as it's called. That might be a link to her clientelle list and maybe some tips.

Glendene Grant said she believes her missing daughter is still alive, but after a year of searching, the heart-broken mother said she needs to start living again as well.
It was a year ago today the family last heard from 21-year-old Jessie Foster, who disappeared in Las Vegas.
http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Canada/2007/03/28/3853525-sun.html
A year after a young Calgary woman mysteriously vanished in Sin City, her mother is hoping that spotlighting the disappearance on a U.S. talk show will bring her daughter home.
Glendene Grant is flying to New York City on Tuesday to tape an episode of the Montel Williams Show about women who get lured into the sex trade and wind up missing.
Jessica Foster, 21, disappeared in March 2006 after travelling to Las Vegas, where she wound up working as a prostitute and was, at one point, beaten so badly she was hospitalized.
Grant yesterday said her daughter's case needs major television exposure to be solved, pointing to the media frenzy surrounding the disappearances of Laci Peterson and Elizabeth Smart.
"I need Jessie to be that recognized, I don't believe she deserves any less," she said, adding the episode is expected to air in a few weeks.

I feel so bad for this mom. I can't imagine being in her shoes. It would just kill me to know that one of my girls had turned to hooking for a living. I just can't imagine it. I'm glad that Jesse's case is going to get some media attention. A lot of the time media doesn't pay much attention to hookers that end up missing. I guess they would rather cover the cases of "nice girls."
This mother loves her daughter just as much as we love ours. Her heart is breaking just like ours would be if our girl was missing. I hope and pray that Jesse is found and her mom can take her home.
I received an email from Glendene yesterday, the Montel Episode she taped in April will be aired next week on May 24th.Here is a link to the page about the show on Human Trafficking.:

I find it peculiar that Peter Todd has slid under a rock somewhere. No word about him at all. I also think his twin brother should be questioned again. He lived with them for a period of time. He said Jessie and Peter fought often but he claims he didn't know what Jessie did for a living.
How could he live there and NOT know??
Glendene Grant should have been in Las Vegas last week meeting with investigators about her missing daughter, 23, who she fears fell prey to human traffickers.
Instead, she's at home in Kamloops, B.C., after being denied entry to the U.S. over a 21-year-old drug conviction.
"I have to get back down there," Grant said through tears.
Since Grant's daughter, Jessie Foster, went missing in Las Vegas more than a year ago, Grant has made three trips to the city to search for her daughter, who reportedly worked for an escort agency.
Grant never had any problems until last Tuesday, when U.S. customs officers at Vancouver International Airport barred her entry over a 1986 conviction for possession of marijuana and cocaine.

I think this is a load of c**p! This poor mom is looking for her daughter and some narrow-minded bureaucrats are whining about a drug conviction from 20 years ago? Talk about cold-hearted  I hope more news agencies pick up on this. Maybe more publicity will focus negative reviews of US border policies and also keep this case in the public eye.

One would think that once it became known that her daughter was a missing person her status could have been changed in the system. If nothing else it could be good PR to show we have people running things that have the wisdom to be flexible for the right reasons.
I remember how kindly our people from the USA were said to have been treated in Canada when many were stranded by grounded flights on 9/11.

The family of a missing North Las Vegas woman has posted a $10,000 reward through Crime Stoppers of Nevada for information about her disappearance. Officials say 23 year old Jessie Foster hasn't been heard from since a phoning her sister March 28th.
They say she didn't indicate anything was wrong, but that she usually keeps in contact with her family in Canada.
North Las Vegas police say a missing person report was filed, but investigators found no evidence of foul play. They say the woman's boyfriend reported she left him and took her belongings.

I am certain the boyfriend is knee deep into this. He has a look about him that is quite frightening..... since he dropped off the map LE should really have APB's out for him. His twin should be harassed daily til he spills his guts over where he is at.
These girls never just vanished without a trace. With her being beat & hospitalized who did it???? Was it the bf?

Canadian Glendene Grant knows the chill of spending Christmas without a loved one. Her daughter Jessie Foster moved to Las Vegas in May 2005 and disappeared from North Las Vegas in March '06.
In November 2005, Foster flew home to Kamloops, British Columbia, to visit her family. On Christmas Day, the family drove her to the airport, where she caught the 3 p.m. flight back to Las Vegas.
It was the last time the family has seen Foster.
On March 28, Jessie's older sister Crystal talked to her on the phone. No one in the family has talked to her since. Her cell phone hasn't been used. Her credit cards haven't been used. She hasn't made any transactions at the bank.
"Christmas is always the hardest time of the year," said Grant. "Sometimes I just hate that the world keeps going. For me, everything stopped in March 2006."
http://www.lvcitylife.com/articles/2007/12/13/news/local_news/iq_18477112.txt
The family of a Kamloops woman who disappeared in Las Vegas almost two years ago is hoping a $50,000 reward for information on her whereabouts will trigger a response from those who knew her at the time she went missing.
Glendene Grant, the mother of 23-year-old Jessie Foster, said she hoped the money would create the sort of leads that will help recover her daughter. The reward had previously been $10,000.
Ms. Foster's parents reported her missing to police in North Las Vegas, where she had been living, shortly after she stopped contacting them in March, 2006. The family hired a private detective who, after a short search, gave them the devastating news that their daughter had been leading a double life by prostituting herself through a Las Vegas escort service.
Ms. Grant's former husband, Dwight Foster, who is Ms. Foster's father, raised the money from adding a mortgage to his home in Calgary.

The parents of Jessie Foster, a Kamloops woman who disappeared in Las Vegas in 2006, have been asked to provide DNA samples to test against the remains of an unidentified woman found in Texas nearly 15 months ago.
Ms. Foster's mother, Glendene Grant, said two people who were aware of her daughter's disappearance contacted her after the Texas "Jane Doe" case was featured on the television show America's Most Wanted on Jan. 12.
The burned remains of the woman, a blonde like Ms. Foster, were found in the town of Kilgore, 160 kilometres east of Dallas, on Oct. 29, 2006. Careful forensic reconstruction of the victim allowed the case to appear on the crime-solving program.
Ms. Grant called Kamloops RCMP, who sent a constable to go over the forensic information provided by the program. He concluded there was a possibility of a match worth looking into. Ms. Grant contacted the North Las Vegas police department, which is leading the investigation into Ms. Foster's disappearance, and the department requested the test.

The following is an email I sent out today after I found out the DNA sample that was taken from me 2 weeks ago is just sitting in the North Las Vegas Police Department. They have not even sent it to Texas to be tested yet.
================================================== =======
WOW. I just found out, after all this time waiting for the DNA test results
that they have not even sent mine from North Las Vegas to Texas yet, because they have not received Dwight's yet. They have not received Dwight's yet, because for some reason, there is only 1 cop in all of Calgary who can swab his cheek, and this cop is on vacation.
Here in Kamloops, the test came in and before noon that day, it was done and on the way back - however, Det. Dave Molnar from the North Las Vegas police had us send them to him, so he can send them to Texas, but as we can see...he could not even handle that simple task.
THIS PISSES ME OFF SO MUCH. Let's get this going. Let's make changes in this crap. Sorry, but I am so mad...now they have pissed off the mom. As if we have not been through enough. It seems as if the police are not even on our side on this. Who wants to help me????
Glendene

================================================== =======
THIS IS THE NOTE I ADDED TO THE COP ON OUR CASE:
PS: To Det. Molnar...please try to help us, like you would want help if it
was your loved one who was missing. Please, it is time to go OVER and ABOVE the Call of Duty on this case. It is time to talk to everyone again (I can even probably get you Yvonne's new phone number - she is back in Las Vegas right now), to re-read EVERY email I have ever sent you, it is time to step up the investigation into Endangered Missing Person, possible Human Trafficking Victim and now possible Murder Victim AKA: Jane Doe...my daughter, Jessica Edith Louise Foster. With all sincerity and hope, Glendene Grant.

Based on the article Deskside posted on February 8th, the DNA sample hasn't even been sent to Texas yet. So, I have a feeling it will be a long time before we know anything.
Sending good thoughts to Jessie's family.
P.S. Can anyone tell me what the correct spelling of "Jessie" is. The thread title shows Jesse, but everything I have read shows Jessie. Just don't want to be disrespectful to the family and write her name incorrectly.
It is spelt Jessie....sorry, when I started the thread way back when I didn't realize I had spelt it wrong...too late to change now...unless a Mod can do it:waitasec:

Last email from Glendene is they are still waiting...they compared the DNA to Lindsay Harris and it did not match....Glendene is still optimistic that it isn't Jessie....pray for her :)
It’s been two years since Jessie Foster disappeared. That’s 104 weeks, 731 days and 17,544 hours.
For Glendene Grant of Kamloops, each second without her daughter has been torture — but she is also fierce in her determination to find Jessie and bring her home.
March 29 marks two years since Jessie’s daily phone calls, text messages and e-mails from Las Vegas to her family in Canada abruptly stopped — and there are still no clues as to where the then-21-year-old could be after being lured by her boyfriend into the Nevada sex trade in May 2005.
“As time goes on, we get stronger,” Grant said of the family.
“If I was ever going to stop before I found Jessie, then I should never have even started.

Everyone is still waiting for Texas to complete the DNA analysis:
Mark Hoyt, spokesman for the Las Vegas North police, said yesterday "we still have no results from Texas on DNA.
"I know the mother has been pushing and prodding, and as a father I would do the same, but Jessie's case is an ongoing active missing persons investigation," said Hoyt.
"We're not slacking off -- we're waiting on Texas to get back to us."

For those of you waiting to hear about the DNA testing for Jessie Foster against Princess Lavander AKA Kilgore Doe, R. Knowley posted some info in P.Lav's thread. Aparently, the police believe they know who killed her, and are working to bring charges against him. It does seem less likely this was Jessie if that angle works out.

This came in an email today from Jessie's mom Glendene:
As I have already known in my heart, the results are negative in the DNA tests against Jane Doe from Kilgore, Texas.
I got a message from Brett Mineer here in Kamloops with Radio NL today. He talked to Lt. Mike Claxton from the Gregg County Sheriff's office. From there, I called Lt. Claxton, left him a message and he called me right back with the good news. IT IS NOT JESSIE.
Thank God. Thank you all for your support. Glendene

ILLINOIS -- The remains of a missing Skaneateles woman have been found in Illinois.
Lindsay Harris, 22, disappeared in May of 2005 in Las Vegas. Three years later, police say she was killed and her remains found several states away in Illinois.
According to the Jenna Foundation, which helped in the search for Harris, the case is considered a homicide and police are actively investigating. No arrests have been made at this time.
Harris was a 2002 graduate of Skaneateles High School and had been living in Las Vegas for about two years before she disappeared.

Mom fears the worst
Believes young woman caught up in sex trade like her daughter.
By TAMAS VIRAG, SUN MEDIA
The mother of an Alberta woman who disappeared from Las Vegas more than two years ago is hoping her experiences will help others, like the family of 29-year-old Shannon Collins.
Collins was reported missing last month, after disappearing nearly a year ago.
Her family believes she may have headed to Calgary to work in the sex trade for the Hells Angels.
Jessie Foster, Glendene Grant's daughter, went missing in March 2006. She was last seen in Las Vegas, where Grant believes she was working as a "high-priced call girl."
Despite few breaks and no arrests in the case, Grant has not given up hope and is urging others to keep a level head and keep searching.

My Canadian daughter, Jessie Foster, is an endangered missing person, possibly a human trafficking victim or now it seems, maybe a victim of a serial killer – maybe a trucker, victimizing high class prostitutes in Las Vegas. Jessie’s story is going to be told on the next episode of America’s Most Wanted show on Saturday, November 14, 2008.
INFO ON JESSIE’S CASE – HOMEPAGE: http://jessiefoster.ca / NOW PUBLIC: http://www.nowpublic.com/jessiesmomglendene / BLOG: http://jessiefoster.blogspot.com/ / BLOG NEWS ARTICLES: http://jessiesnewsarticles.blogspot.com/ / MY SPACE: http://www.myspace.com/jessiesmomglendene / GOOGLE: (USA) http://www.google.com/ or (Canada) http://www.google.ca/ and type in with quotations “missing Jessie Foster”
NOTE FROM JESSIE’S MOM: Important – Jessie’s case is similar to the following cases on several levels (if described, they do resemble each other…not necessarily if there pictures were side-by-side, but height, weight, hair, etc…yes, they could be the same person), BUT, and this is a HUGE but – when Jessie went missing, all of her belongings went missing with her (except, as her fiancé Peter Todd told me several times, her hairdryer and her makeup…this always made me wonder about him, as Jessie would not take socks, shoes, etc and leave her hairdryer and makeup behind…would NEVER happen), so how does a serial killer get the belonging of one of his victims? Again, would NEVER happen.
Is A Serial Killer Murdering Las Vegas Prostitutes? (http://www.amw.com/features/feature_story_detail.cfm?id=3049)
Since 2005, AMW has been following the story of Lindsay Marie Harris (http://www.amw.com/missing_persons/brief.cfm?id=31826), a small-town girl with big dreams who disappeared after moving to Las Vegas. Three years later, her remains were identified near an Illinois highway.
Between March 2003 and April 2006, four known Vegas prostitutes -- Lindsay, Misty Marie Saens (http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=60901), Jodi Marie Brewer (http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=60899) and Jessica Edith Louise Foster (http://www.amw.com/missing_persons/brief.cfm?id=60803) -- disappeared under similarly suspicious circumstances.
Three of the women were dismembered and their remains had been dumped just off of remote stretches of highway. Two of them were found near industrial areas, and the body of the fourth woman, Jessie Foster, has never even been found.
LINDSAY: On May 23, 2005, police outside of Springfield, Ill., made a shocking discovery when they arrived at a crime scene and found a pair of severed legs (http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=45603). For three years, the Illinois State Police diligently worked the Jane Doe case, and their hard work paid off in May 2008 when an FBI report and a DNA comparison helped to identify the victim as missing person Lindsay Harris (http://www.amw.com/missing_persons/brief.cfm?id=31826).
MISTY: In 2003, human remains found near a deserted stretch of Las Vegas highway left investigators scratching their heads. But two years later, they were able to put a name to the victim, Misty Saens (http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=60901). Now, they need your help to find her cold-blooded killer.
JODI: The last time anyone ever saw 19-year-old Jodi Brewer (http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=60899) alive was in mid-August 2003. For just over two weeks, her friends and family waited on baited breath, hoping for her safe return. But on August 29, cops in northern California made a grisly discovery that's left all those who knew Jodi completely and utterly devastated.
JESSIE: Jessie Foster (http://www.amw.com/missing_persons/brief.cfm?id=60803) had it all. The Canadian-born beauty had plenty of friends and a close-knit family, but in the spring of 2006, she vanished without a trace. Now, cops in Las Vegas need your help to find out what might have happened to her.

When Jesse first went missing did LE go over the house or apt that she had been living in with her boyfriend? That is very strange that her clothes were gone but not her dryer and makeup. Do you think that this boyfriend did something to Jesse and just didn't see her hairdryer and makeup when he got rid of her and her clothes? Did he mind her doing the type of work that she was doing or could there have been an arguement about it and something happened to Jesse as a result? Did LE ever go over his vehicle for evidence?
Has he helped look for Jesse? Did she seem happy with the boyfriend when you two talked? I'm always suspcious of boyfriends and husbands or ex-whatevers. When a female disappears it usually ends up being the male in her life and not some stranger.
If LE didn't go over his home I would request that they do. It doesn't matter if he still lives there or not. LE can go in and use luminol to find blood. Even if the blood was washed off it will still show.

Bobbisangel,
Jessie's "boyfriend" was her pimp. Peter Todd not only knew what Jessie was doing he was the guy who was forcing her to do it.
Why is Jessie missing? Best guess; she wanted out. And any pimp knows that if your women can walk on you, then you are mud on the streets.
The best, long shot bet, is that Peter sold Jessie to someone else. But it is more likely that he killed her

Being that she was living with her pimp who had a record of spousal abuse... I would probably think that he is high on the list of suspects. Usually the kind of work Jessie did doesn't pose the type of danger that other parts of the sex trade does such as street walking where men know the women are extremely vulnerable and nobody keeps track of them. I think a predator would attempt to abduct a women who is on the street as opposed to a high class escort who he knows is being monitered and/or has security detail lying in wait in case something goes wrong. Jessie would have been seen as a "precious commodity" by her pimp and inner circle which makes me think that they would have had a way to moniter her dealings with the "clients". The fact that Jessie, correct me if I'm wrong did more of the high end call girl stuff leads me to think that maybe her and her boyfriend/pimp had an argument over something. We don't know if Jessie was involved with drugs but with this as a factor another slew of undesireable and violent people come into play. I think a stranger abduction is less plausible then an immediate aquiantance or associate wanting to exort their control.

Personally I do not think Jessie will be found at that site. So far the three women that have been identified do not seem to match with Jesse. They seemed to have a much rougher lifestyle of drugs, prostitution and sometimes homelessness.
Jessie seemed to be more of a "highclass" escort. I saw written that the price for a Vegas Escort could be as much as $10,000 for a weekend. They just don't seem to be running in the same circles. I might be wrong but there are too many differences for me.
On a different note regarding this case, does anyone know if Jessie's mom or anyone has ever been able to speak to Yvonne Hubrechtsen? I am curious to find out what she knows.

The search continues for missing Calgary woman
It's been exactly three years since Jessica Foster went missing. The Calgary woman disappeared while in Las Vegas on March 29, 2006. Since then, police haven't been able to find her. Her family has hired private detectives to track her down, but so far, have had no luck finding any trace of her.
Family members are convinced Jessica got caught up in a web of human trafficking and prostitution. She was last seen with her boyfriend while in Las Vegas. Investigators say Jessica's boyfriend was well known to them.
Jessica's family has established a $50,000 reward for information that could lead authorities to her whereabouts.

I think I asked this before, but do we have anymore information regarding Yvonne Hubrechtsen? Has LE ever been able to speak with her regarding Jessie?
Prayers to all family and friends.

I'm sure they have, but it's not like she is going to open up. She's probably scared, they all ran in a dangerous circle.

Does Canada do the same thing they do in the states for witnesses? Like give a lesser chanrge if you provide information on something else?
Does that question make sense?

Yes, but even so, if she knows the killers then she knows they will kill again. I just think a lot of people know things but don't come forward out of fear...

I was honoured when several months ago Gladys Radek invited me to be a speaker at the 19th Annual Women's Memorial March to be held in Vancouver, BC CANADA on Sunday, February 14th, 2010. I said yes right away, and was surprised when the time came around so fast. And by the time it did, I had been unemployed for over 3 months and was financially NOT able to make it. BUT, this was a chance for Jessie’s case to get more attention and I needed to be able to tell her story to the many people who were going to be there. I was so lucky to have friends who were able to help me get a Greyhound bus ticket and day passes for the Vancouver city bus to ensure that I did not miss this opportunity. Since I had a place to stay, it really did not cost much more than that. I was, and I still am, so grateful to everyone who made this happen for Jessie.
The Woman’s Memorial March is held on Valentine’s Day every year and has been for the past 18 years. This year it coincided with the opening weekend of the 2010 Olympics. There has been a lot of controversy over the games since the announcement of Vancouver getting the ‘honour’ of being host to the world. The city of Vancouver and the province of British Columbia, along with most of Canada are suffering horribly from the economy. We really could not afford to host the Olympics. Not like Calgary could back in 1988.
We taxpayers of BC will be paying for these games for decades to come. We have a horrific homeless problem here that sadly has no end in sight; things will get much worse before they get any better. We have schools merging all the kids together, or simply closing – all over our province – people are holding rallies to KEEP THEIR SCHOOL OPEN. I have seen many of them on the news, but they do not always help, the schools are still slated to close.
There are so many things that needed the funds that went to the Olympics and now that they are here, we have no snow; they are trucking and flying in the snow. At a cost of how much more money?? There are unsold tickets that are sitting there, with no revenue coming back in. The province is going to take a huge loss on the 2010 Olympics and it is the poor, it is the children, it is the social programs that will ultimately pay for it . . . strike that, who ARE paying for it.
One of the most active groups against the Olympics is the APC (Anti-Poverty Committee) who are always protesting things that suck the money out of the taxpayers at the expense of those who need it. Even though they are not too well liked by other organizations as they tend to get violent during their protests and marches, they are very active in their cause.
They held a march on Saturday, February 13, 2010 to protest the Olympics, which I ended up walking in. I never planned on going to this protest. I got off the Greyhound bus from Kamloops in downtown Vancouver, my friend Gladys Radek met me there, and as we left the building they were going right by. We were right there as they passed by, so we just started walking and talking to media and people about Jessie. Showing her poster and handing some out. It was for Jessie that we were there. We started noticing it was getting a bit wild. We were seeing garbage strewn across the streets, garbage cans and newspaper boxes tipped over. We went left when they went right at Victory Square.
When we got back to Gladys’ house, we saw the news of the destruction they caused a block after we left the group. Smashing in the huge windows of “The Bay” department store; fighting with the police; people being arrested. It was so ridicules, in my opinion! But I did what I needed to do – I told several media outlets and many people about Jessie’s disappearance and handed out about 100 posters.
Remember; don’t get me wrong, I am not a hater. I am not actively protesting the Olympics, but I do not agree with what happened here in BC in the past several years while Vancouver was preparing to ‘impress’ the world. They even built a $100,000 center (a room) for the media to go to get info on serial killer Robert “Willie” Pickton and his horrific crimes. They never put $100,000 into aftercare for the families, the children of his victims.
My friend Gladys Radek is the co-founder of the Walk4Justice. With her good friend and colleague Bernie Williams and all the other volunteers who put in hours & hours of their time and lots of blood, sweat & tears to bring their vision to reality. They not just formed the organization, but also held several “walks for justice” – including their very long journey from British Columbia to Ontario, Canada. They walked from the west coast to our nation’s capital, Ottawa – about 4,500 kms or nearly 2,800 miles – over half way across the country. THEY WALKED. With many other family members & friends. There were babies in buggies and there was sweet, dear old Grandma Mable Todd – she was the oldest walker at the age of 75 years young. CAN YOU IMAGINE? I can’t.
Both Gladys and Bernie are friends of mine, very dear to my heart, and Mable is the mother-in-law to my old friend, from grade 6 Eli’s sister, Ada. I stayed with Gladys and her family when I went to Vancouver for the March, and enjoyed a wonderful home-cooked meal with them, prepared by her and 2 of her 4 daughters, Sarah & Rachel. We were entertained by the very lovable and very lively Angel, Sarah’s daughter and Gladys’ granddaughter.
Like I said, I am not a hater of the Olympics, I even went downtown Vancouver on Saturday night to take a picture of the 2010 Olympic Torch (that is all I did, I never paid a red cent for anything) and I was very touched as the torch came through Kamloops and Barriere, where one of my daughters live. But things always seem to work in Jessie’s favor. While we were walking around, there were people everywhere. Most were happy to be in Vancouver, celebrating the 2010 Olympics with people from around the world.
You could feel the excitement. I was taking pictures of everything. We talked to people about Jessie; handed out posters; took pictures and even posed for some. We talked to the police that were EVERYWHERE. You could not look 20 steps without seeing another police officer. There were police officers from all over Canada there to help ensure there was enough policing for the Olympics. They were all very kind to us. Listening, asking questions, and most importantly, they took Jessie’s poster and story back to where they came from. That is what this weekend was all about, spreading the word about Jessie.
While we were walking along, one of Gladys’ friends, Trisha called out to her and we went over to where she was with Angel, the beautiful young daughter of Brenda Wolf . . . one of serial killer Robert “Willie” Pickton’s victims, and a Teresa & Kent, a film crew from Nova Scotia who was actually filming a documentary at that time. They interviewed me about Jessie’s case and Bernie about her design for the Walk4Justice emblem. They told me they would let me know when the documentary will be released. I am really looking forward to it. And that is all I could talk about on the way back to Gladys’s place to get some sleep. Not that I got much…it was after 2am before I dozed off and was up by 7:30am.
Gladys and I left her place at 8:00am and took the city bus to the Downtown Eastside Vancouver. One of the poorest neighbourhoods in Canada with one of the highest crime rates in our country. There have been dozens of women who simply vanished off the street, some would be found dead . . . murdered by Robert Pickton or some other monster. Sometimes the killer was caught and jailed, many times they were not – some were just never heard from again . . . EVER.
They left behind their families…their children; they left behind their belongings; and they left behind their welfare cheques. No one who needs welfare leaves behind their monthly cheque. Even if the recipient was in jail, the ‘system’ knew where they were. And if they did not get welfare, their friends had a pact; they kept track of each other. They knew for years that something sinister was happening in the DTES Vancouver, but the police and the public either did not believe it or just plain turned their backs to it all.
It was years later that the pig farmer / serial killer, Robert Willie Pickton was arrested and eventually convicted of some of the horrendous crimes . . . some of the horrific murders he committed. There are many more women who’s DNA or some of their belongings were found on Pickton’s farm but he has not yet been charged with their murders, but hopefully one day, he will be.
There are even more women who have never been found. Every single one of these women need justice. Their families need justice so they can try to begin to heal and move on with their lives. Some people call it ‘getting closure’, but to me, the mother of a missing women, I do not really believe that there is closure. I always say that closure is a word used by people who have nothing to close. But I understand completely what they mean. I just call it ‘answers’ or ‘justice’, not ‘closure’.
The day of the March was also Chinese New Year and there was a parade going by a block from where our March was starting – at the Carnegie Community Center. There were firecrackers, floats, and shouts of glee. It was a completely different state of mind from those of us here to remember and honour the women who are victims of crimes, solved and unsolved, missing and murdered. IT WAS THEIR DAY.
We got there as the doors opened at 9a.m. and started to prepare for everything that was to take place. We setup banners on the patio where the media scrum was to take place. There was to be media from around the world. Some were there for the Olympics and took the opportunity to come to our Memorial March.
We set up the room inside where the Ceremony was to be held. There were banners to be put up, chairs to be arranged, flowers to arrange, people to arrange. There were members, families, drummers and speakers at the Ceremony but there was no media allowed inside out of respect for the victims and their families. It was very well organized and everyone knew exactly what they needed to do. Gladys and I did the banners outside. The banners also had to be taken down and carried in the March.
When all was completed the first thing was the media scrum at 11a.m. They were all set up on the patio out front, ready to listen and ask their questions. There were several speakers, some were family members of the media, some were DTES (Downtown Eastside) Workers who used to ‘work’ the streets and now worked with the victims of the same streets. When it was time for Gladys and I to stand before the media, I wore Jessie’s button and held her poster for all to see.
At 12p.m. the Ceremony inside was ready to begin. There were 20 speakers, all introduced by Marlene George. When it was my turn, I realized that my ‘speech’ was missing. I thought I must have lost it, so I talked from my heart. It was better than if I tried to concentrate on a piece of paper and not lose my spot – everything that was making me a bit nervous. So, from my heart I did awesome. As it turned out, I did not lose my speech, it was exactly where I thought it was, I found it when I got home to Kamloops. You can read my written speech at the end of this writing.
I told the room about Jessie. I started off by saying that Jessie’s case was a bit different than others here. That Jessie went missing from North Las Vegas and that she was an international endangered missing woman and the victim of a human trafficking ring and that the Olympics, which had started two days prior was an excellent venue for the trafficking rings and we needed to be aware. We need to always remember JESSIE FOSTER. We need to always remember all victims and never forget about human trafficking.
Then at about 1p.m. we went outside to begin the march, and there were thousands of people waiting. It was so overwhelming to see the amount of support that the 19th Annual Women’s Memorial March was receiving. Gladys had told me, but I was not ready for this many . . . the protest march the day before had about 200 people, so I think I may have been comparing it to that . . . after all, this was my first march and I was not sure what to expect.
As we marched and drummed and sang I was so full of emotion – I was covered with goosebumps. I held up Jessie’s poster as I walked and every time I saw a camera crew from a news source or even people with their personal cameras or phone cameras, I held up Jessie’s poster for them to get a good shot – I was able to get several hundred people to capture Jessie’s picture on their camera.
Every time we reached a place in which a victim we were honouring was last seen, or sadly found the march stopped and a ceremony was held for them. I wish I had of kept track of how many times we stopped and how many women were honoured on the streets of DTES Vancouver, but there were many, many of them. Each time the drummers drummed louder and the singers sung louder and the people prayed harder. There were times that the drumming was so intense that we looked up and saw eagles souring above us. They also came out to honour the victims. Eagles are very spiritual to the Native Culture and this was amazing to witness. It made me cry each time.
During the march I met some of the most amazing people. I would be walking along and someone new would be beside me. We would start to talk and before long we knew of each other’s loved one. One of these people was Suzanne Kilroy, an Indian Princess. She told her of her horrific upbringing and her survival of the DTES as a prostitute and drug addict. She now is support worker who creates support groups for women living the life she was able to escape over 10 months ago. Suzanne’s story, I am sure will inspire you as it did me and it will allow you to understand some of the horrific things that some children have been forced to live through – to survive through – unfortunately the surviving come decades later, after years of emotional, physical and sexual abuse. After ending up on the streets as a prostitute and drug addict some of them, the lucky ones do survive. They are the ones who go back and try to help their ‘sisters’ – their friends and family who are still trapped in this lifestyle. “The Story of an Indian Princess” is posted below.
The march ended up at the Japanese Cultural Center at about 4p.m. There we got some delicious food and drink and then we were honoured with more speakers. This too was very emotional as victim after victim took the stage and poured their hearts out. How difficult this must have been for them. How brave they all were. And how proud we all were of each and every one of them.
When this was over, at about 5:30 or 6p.m., Gladys, Mable Todd and I walked to a meeting they had planned to attend after the march, about 10 or 15 blocks away, it felt like more, but it was not. I guess they had not walked enough today – me, I had sore feet, sore shoulders and a sore back – all day I was carrying my laptop bag and my backpack as I was going to take the 8p.m. Greyhound bus back to Kamloops and there would not be time for me to go back to Gladys’ to get it, so I took it with me when we left in the morning. But complaining to my dear friends who in 2008 walked from Vancouver, BC to Ottawa, ON was not something I was willing to do, especially because I was over 20 years younger than dear, sweet Mable. So, I followed them along the streets of DTES as it started to get dark. Funny thing, I was not scared at all – not even nervous.
At about 7:15p.m., Gladys’ daughter Sarah and her granddaughter Angel took me by city bus to the Greyhound station and I was on the bus, heading for home by 8p.m. I took off my shoes and kept them off until we hit Kamloops at 12:35a.m. I was home! It was a whirlwind 2 days, but worth every second of it.

This was my speech I wrote for the 19th Annual Women’s Memorial March, but I lost it on the walk and never actually used it....I did it from my heart
My name is Glendene Grant and my daughter, JESSIE FOSTER, is an international endangered missing woman and a human trafficking victim who has been missing since March 29, 2006. My kids all went to my old elementary, junior & secondary schools. They skated at the same arena, went to the same mall . . . the same theater. We are a small town Canadian family with a white picket fence. THIS should NEVER have happened to us.
Jessie was lured to the USA by someone she thought of as a friend, someone she knew since she graduated from high school 3 years prior - he passed her off to a couple in Las Vegas who passed her off to the person we eventually came to think of as her fiancé - but to the police he was a known pimp with a record for spousal abuse. She eventually was living with him in a swanky North Las Vegas house, worth over $750,000. Jessie was kept there for 10 months and when she tried to leave she disappeared. Jessie was in constant communication with her family the entire time. Calling; emailing; text messaging; talking on a computer chat program . . . Jessie never missed a day the entire time she was there. Many times Jessie would call during a very heated fight she was having with her 'fiancé'. She would be yelling; crying; sobbing about something he did to her. But she always said he was not violent and would end the calls telling me not to worry. YA RIGHT. Several times I spoke to him and even tried to convince him that they should break up; that they were not good for each other, but they always ended the calls on a lighter note. But of course, I did not know how serious the situation was there. I just believed that Jessie was engaged to a rich older man and she loved him very much, he did not love her. He brainwashed her; he beat her; and he may have even fed her drugs against her knowledge until she was addicted. We know he did everything else.
Jessie was allowed to come home once during this time. She got to spend a few weeks back home visiting with us in Kamloops, BC and going to Calgary, AB to visit her dad & his family. But it was not a peaceful visit, she was either calling or being called CONSTANTLY on her cell phone or the house phones when she was here or at her dad's. We actually started thinking that she finally saw the light & was not going back to him . . . back to Las Vegas. Jessie was back with us in Kamloops on Christmas Day 2005. We got up in the morning; opened presents; and were talking about going to my dad's place for Christmas dinner. He is an widower who lives a block from us, in the same home I grew up in. But Jessie shocked us all by saying she HAD to leave that day. CHRISTMAS DAY! Without warning, she wanted a ride to the airport as she HAD to get back to Las Vegas that day!
I was heart-broken, her sisters were crushed. Her friends were shocked that Jessie went back. They continued to call for days . . . for weeks, not knowing she even left. None of us will ever forget that day. Taking her to the airport on Christmas . . . the last time any of us ever saw my beautiful daughter. The last time her sisters ever saw their beautiful sister - her older sister has actually said that when she looked at Jessie for the last time before she went through the doorway, she saw a look in her eyes that she never understood - she understood it perfectly when Jessie disappeared - the look said DON'T LET ME GO! It has been hard on her being she is the oldest of four sisters and she never knew her younger sister was in such peril. And it has put a cloud over what should be a wonderful holiday season. If not for my other daughters and grandchildren, I would sleep that day away - but every year, we celebrate Christmas, Jessie's favorite holiday and we celebrate the last time we saw Jessie.
We were again in constant contact with Jessie for the next 3 months until March 28. The last time I spoke to her was March 24. The last time her dad heard from her was on March 27 when Jessie left a voice message on their phone wishing her stepmom a happy birthday and mentioning she was heading off to the dentist to have a wisdom tooth extracted. This is important because after Jessie went missing, her 'fiancé' told us she went to the dentist to have her wisdom tooth extracted on April 3, 2006. He did not know that Jessie already told us when the appointment was. We know that Jessie was already missing by April 3. He actually gave us 3 different stories about what he says was the last day he saw Jessie (Apr 3).
But most importantly, he told us something that told us more than he realized at the time. He said that all Jessie's belongings went missing when she did, except her hairdryer and makeup which were left on the bathroom counter. This spoke volumes . . . Jessie would not have taken everything and left those, very important items. But we know that Jessie had all her belongings packed and she was ready to come back to Canada & meet her older sister in Kamloops and they were to drive her car to Calgary to attend their stepsister's wedding. But Jessie went missing the day after they talked on the phone and made their plans. Her things were packed and her hairdryer & makeup was still on the bathroom counter because she would have planned to use them in the morning after her shower. But if she was taken (against her will) her captors would not have known that and those things would have been left behind. When he told me this, he did not realize the impact it would have on her case!
I reported Jessie missing in North Las Vegas, NV USA where she went missing from and in Kamloops, BC Canada, where she lived and all her belongings were, including her car, still in my backyard all this time. We also hired a PI right away, and he found out Jessie had been beaten & hospitalized. Forced to work at an escort agency. And was arrested two times. Once for 1 count and once for 4 counts of solicitation. Jessie has never been in trouble in her life, before these people took hold of her life. Right away I knew that Jessie was the victim of a human trafficking ring. I knew she did not leave on her own, and I do not feel in my heart, that my daughter is dead.
So where is she? ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
Jessie's case has been investigated by both countries and several human trafficking task forces. ATLAS which was out of Las Vegas at the time Jessie first went missing, and 3 task forces here in Canada - 2 in Alberta and 1 in British Columbia. There are even some human trafficking experts who concur. They have agreed that Jessie's case is a classic case of human trafficking, right from the hubs for human trafficking where Jessie was taken, to her phone bills - 25 to 30 pages in length and $2,500 to $3,000 each month - with calls by the minute to and from the person she was living with.
If you are forced to work in any type of job or situation; if you do not get to chose to leave; if you do not get paid (or paid correctly); if you are battered or bruised by your employer IT IS NOT A JOB. It is human trafficking!
Thank you for your time. For more information please go to www.jessiefoster.ca (not com)! Please do not forget Jessie or any of the missing.

This next story is one that I was given at the 19th Annual Women’s Memorial March by a woman I met, Suzanne Kilroy. She had a horrific early childhood but is now, finally in recovery and is helping others.
The Story of an Indian Princess
I was born in 1969 and am the youngest of 14 children. I am a two-spirited aboriginal peer support person of the downtown eastside. I am currently trying to exit sex work.
I started doing sex work when I was 9 years old and charged family friends for money, alchol, and drugs. I threatened to call the police if they didn't give me money, drugs or alcohol.
At first, sexual abuse was forced upon me and then I started noticing my options and what these abusers were in fear of. I started using that to my advantage.
I feel this is where I became a prostitute, at the age of 9. I started sleeping with these guys willingly for certain prices or certain amounts of drugs or alcohol. At the time I didn't drink or use drugs but I could trade the alcohol for money or food.
Over the years I grew up, survived residential school, did some college, trade certificates, ended up in different cities throughout Canada and the United States using my certified skills and my street level skills to the best of my advantage as well as surviving three dysfunctional relationships.
For the past 10 months I've been alone. I'm 42 years of age, I'm a single woman that has been around 20 blocks, using my talents, skills, abilities, gifts, pains and triumphs, struggles and my life experiences to share with my sisters and brothers beside me for them not to feel alone because throughout the years I was too stubborn or afraid to ask for help.
My independence and the fact that I'm two-spirited had many barriers, red-tape, and down-falls. But with organizations like PACE, WISH, the Women's Center, Aboriginal Front-Door, Healing Our Spirit, Sister's in Spirit, and all my sisters and brothers I'm living in a healthier atmosphere today.
I'm able to attend support groups and create support groups and host support groups with the greatest gift of being honest with myself of where I'm am at this time in my life. It helped me heal mentally, spiritually, emotionally, accepting of self.
My gift of words to you or anyone in need of support in any way at all: Find local support networks, challenge yourself to endeavor in the programs and take the risk to learn about the life you never had and the life you want to life.
My name is Suzanne Kilroy. This is a bit of my story. I'm your Indian Princess, proud to share this with you, Kut'stemc.

i just watched the E! special where Jessie's story was featured and wanted to drop a line...
i personally have experience with the kind of world Jessie lived in... drugs and shadiness usually are involved, but not always. I can say honestly there are many men (and women) who will push a prospective girl into the life, however, there are just as many girls i believe that take it upon themselves to become escorts b/c of the fast $. This is especially so now with the internet being used so much for prostitution, a woman doesn't actually need a "pimp' anymore. but most women involved in "escort agencies" will have a manager, pimp, whatever....
i just wanted to comment b/c personally i think, with all the coverage and now with Jessie's life exposed, i just don't believe she's too embarrassed to come home or call her family. i was struck by how beautiful her pics were, and her story hit home. unfortunately prostitution is a shady business unto itself.
Is it obvious now that the "boyfriend' Peter Todd was running an escort agency? Nice big house, etc, and no income? Why is he not concerned about her after she left him? -z.

I'm not sure if possible matches are welcome here - I haven't seen any yet. But here are a couple I found:
The Doe Network: Case File 483UFTX (http://doenetwork.org/cases/483uftx.html) and in NAMUS (https://identifyus.org/cases/1405)

My apologies! I typed this up late last night - I remember now that the first one I linked to (UID in Kilgore, TX) was ruled out for Jessie by DNA.
It would be really helpful if NAMUS had an updated list of rule outs, wouldn't it?

Writer, Matthew O'Brien's 2nd book My Week at the Blue Angel covers a bit about Jessica Foster. This book has 10 stories and the first story is about Jessica. It's also a follow-up from O'Brien's first book Beneath the Neon: Life and Death in the Tunnels of Las Vegas.
Unfortunately, Jessie has not been found. Jessie's parents arrive in Las Vegas to remind people that Jessie is still missing. The story covers their experience with LE. It's frustrating how LE handles Jessie's case (my opinion). It's very disappointing and tragic that a missing person's case is handled that way. Unfair! There is a lot known about Jessie's case, yet, nothing...why? The story is informative and scary. Somebody knows something and I hope that one day, soon the truth will come out. The family needs answers and they have a right to know where/what happened to Jessie. I can't imagine the pain her family is going through.
I wanted to quote, Mr. Foster (Jessie's dad) from the book: "These days, people look to the skies for terrorists. They think evil is going to drop from the heavens." But evil walks among us, thought Foster, It's down there beneath all those lights.

Just finished Beneath the Neon and started My Week at the Blue Angel today, which begins with Jessie's story. :( So very sad. Though I have to take issue with Matthew O'Brien's overall description of Vegas (as a long-time resident), I really have to wonder how many young women, like Jessie, have met the same fate but have no one who cares enough to look for them.
No doubt, there is a disgusting and troubling underbelly to Vegas - like all cities. But there are normal and generous folks here too.
I pray that Jessie's family finds the answers they need. I do believe there have been numerous searches for her over the years and I will take part in the next.

Bumping this...
Somehow (I forget exactly) I stumbled on this case on Facebook and it has me intrigued.
I didn't get to read through the whole thread yet so I'm not sure if this was brought up or not..
Jessica's mother seems to be pretty vocal online, has anyone thought of contacting her to get specifics like birth times and such - for a forensic astrology thread?

Coming up on the sixth anniversary of her disappearance, Glendene Grant has released an age-progressed portrait showing what her missing daughter might look like now.
Jessie Foster has not been seen since March 29, 2006.
According to her mother, Grant, Foster was living in Kamloops, British Columbia, in the spring of 2005, when she began traveling to the U.S. In May 2005, the then 21-year-old ended up going to Las Vegas, Nev.
While in Las Vegas, Foster met a man and the two were quickly engaged to be married. The man was reportedly wealthy and the two lived together in a million-dollar home. read full article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/26/jessie-foster-missing_n_1379848.html
