Kind of sad to see the Perry March case get archived so quickly. He just got scentenced yesturday.

Anyways he got 56 years and will have to serve at least 30 years before he is eligible for parole.

I have a question.Does he get jail credit for the time he has served in the last year?

Yes. The Dept of Corrections said yesterday that he would get no special treatment.

I don't know for sure, but i would think he gets credit for time already served.

He deserves no less. He is the scum of the earth. May Janet finally have some justice. I personally would want the death penalty and I would be glad to administer myself.

So that means he has 29 years to go before he gets turned down for his first parole.

He will first go to the Charles Bass Correctional Facility near Riverbend Prison in Nashville. March will stay there for 30 days for both medical and mental evaluations.

State officials will then assign him to a state prison. The state believes he will then go to either the Turney Center in Only, Tennessee, or a prison in West Tennessee.

Well, now I can only hope that he would tell where she is so she can have the proper burial.....ugh...he gave me the creeps when I saw the 48 hours special....

One of the media commentators said that, sadly, he'll do fine in prison because of his legal knowledge. You can bet he'll be handing out all kinds of free legal advice to Bubba and friends.

I wouldn't want to be Perry though when all that bad advice comes back to haunt him!

It really ticks me off when a person is given a certain length of sentence and then they really don't have to do the whole thing. Why give him 56 yrs if he isn't going to have to serve the whole time? He won't get paroled the first time but eventially he will. If he never admits that he did it he may end up serving the whole length of time though. From what I understand the parole board doesn't feel a person has learned anything if they don't have any remorse or won't admit that they committed the crime.

Hold to your story Perry....you're are innocent...remember that :D

Would it be possible to get some sort of reduction in scentance if he disclosed the whereabouts of the body?

I am willing to bet that PM will never admit to the crime of killing his wife nor will he ever disclose where he disposed of the body.If we are to belive that AM disposed of the body and never told Perry where he buried it,,then we will probably never know.

Sad for the family.

I would think that if he was going to make a deal with LE it would have had to be done before he went to trial. It would be very kind if he would tell where she is but he won't because he is never going to admit that he killed her. He'll go through all of his appeals and then sit out the rest of his sentence. He'll never get paroled if he doesn't admit he murdered Janet.

I wonder why his dad won't tell them what he did with her? He probably led them in the wrong direction when he TRIED to show them where the body was. Although he may not remember exactly where he put her. He did testify against Perry and said that Perry killed Janet and asked him to move the body. I don't know why he wouldn't led them to the body if he remembered correctly where he put her.

Arthur March is expected to plead guilty (formally) before the judge friday.

The judge can eccept the govt reccomendation for 18 months probation or he can impose a scentance himself.

UPDATE:

The federal govt decided today NOT to charge PM in the murder of janet march.

Looks like they decided this based on the fact he will be 70+ when he is eligible for parole and chance are he wont get it the first time around unless he tells them what he did with the body.

http://www.wsmv.com/news/9841628/detail.html Huge UPDATE:

The judge decided not to accept the Goverments reccomendation that he get the 18 months and decided to give him 5 years and ordered him not to have contact with the grandkids.

This will be a life scentance for Arthur March.I kind of saw this coming.I think he got a little to cocky in the video deposition and the judge did not like that.

Also in this story,,looks like PM is still barking at the heels of the Levines and has filed a motion in court to get his kids back to Mexico to live with Carmen.

PM is a real piece of work.

Hey mods,,,since there is still a lot going on in the PM case,,,can we get it out of the archives for a little while longer so people that are following the case will see it.????

It's great that AM got 5 years. Hopefully he will croak in prison.

PM is just lower than low, still trying to control who has his kids. I hope the suit gets thrown out.

I'm glad he'll be in prison for years and year, but not too happy that he will probably get out while in his seventies. Lots of old geezers that age are out creating all sorts of havoc and still able to get around just fine. Hopefully he won't do well or stay too healthy in the big house.

Glad to hear they have finally sentenced him. DrewP reminds me of him in the sheer arrogance they both show. He will be ok in prison, he will stay busy filing appeals for himself and others, and they will probably give him a job that doesn't involve physical labor after a while. Since he will do others appeals, they will owe him so he will have protectors. Still they won't like his arrogance, he will have to tone that down. I wonder if he feels any remorse about his father's sentence?

I think that is funny that the judge didn't give AM the minimal sentence. He reminds me a lot of CA, and all the drama, denial and assistance that goes along with it. Now this one will have a tough time in prison. He may have been tough at one time (though I see him as more of a braggart than a tough guy.) But he will bluster and challenge some big real tough guy and they will slap him down like the little p...ant that he is. I hope someone will make sure that Perry hears about it when it happens. Of course he will never blame himself for it, he will probably blame the prosecution and the judge.

Anybody know if Carmen has applied for citizenship in the US so that she can be closer to her man? Anyone want to bet on how long she remains a faithful prison widow?

Did Perry March get married to someone named Carmen? He's such a creep I don't know why anyone would want to even be his penpal. These women that hook up with killers are brain dead so I guess it doesn't make any difference anyway. If they had any selfworth at all they wouldn't give these monsters even one look. Seriously though...what do these women get out of being married to a killer that will never get out of prison? Nothing in her life really changes aside from her weekly juants to the prison to see her man. She has to support herself...sleep alone...maybe...won't ever have kids, etc. The woman probably support their men by keeping then in commissary money, clothes and anything else they need. Suckers.

ITA.
What a clown. On the ID channel last weekend they ran this story again and I got a refresh. Ack. What ever happened to divorce? People do manage to get on with their lives afterwards, why kill?

You are pretty much on the mark of what has transpired.

Arthur March Died in prison over a year ago.

Perry was just interviewed by Newschannel 5 http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/story.asp?s=9366874 a couple of weeks ago from inside his jail.He is in fact helping inmates filing motions and appeals.I am sure his commissary account is full of money from inmates having outside people deposit money into his account.Thats the way inmates make money while in prison. All one Dope dealer needs to do is get one of his drug buddies from outside to send in a postal money order in any amount perscribed. It can even be sent in annonomusly. From that account Perry March can buy commissary items, pay his attorneys ,pay for his appeal and deposit money into his phone account that the prison controls.

Perry said he has not seen his kids since he has been incarcerated but feels like his older son would like to see him.Not sure if thats going true or not.The kid is almost a adult by now and has no doubt heard the tapes from prison where he tried to kill Janet Marches Parents.I doubt Perry is going to get a invitation any time soon.

Here in georgia you have to be on the visitors list to even send a money order, you definetly have to put all the right info or it goes right back.
