I'm so glad that another judge has stepped forward to see that Judge Hauser's estranged wife will be protected.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- A judge who was trusted to protect the most vulnerable families had a restraining order taken out against him and has been accused of making violent threats and more.

Despite the order, Orange County Judge James Hauser is still presiding over cases. On top of that, Eyewitness News found out he refused to grant a restraining order, last year, for a woman who claimed her husband was abusing her.
In court records, Judge Hauser's estranged wife said she's had to call Maitland police twice for help, but never spoke up about abuse because of the judge's position in the community.
he two are not living together, but documents describe fireworks, and worse, whenever the two meet to exchange their three children for visitation.
Judge Hauser is one of family court's most prominent faces, but now another Orange County judge has found reason to protect Hauser's wife with a restraining order, citing abuse or potential abuse at the hands of the long-time judge.
In a petition to the court, Patti Hauser claims Judge Hauser has become increasingly aggressive, harassing and threaten her, telling her "she would die" and "he would kill her in court." The petition describes an alleged groping incident that rose to the level of sexual assault.
Most recently, Hauser is accused of chasing his wife across a parking lot and throwing garbage into her car.
Orange County mom Heather Vann has appeared in front of Judge Hauser before, trying to protect her son and herself from her ex-husband after an alleged choking incident led to surgery. She said Hauser refused to enforce a restraining order in her case. She was not surprised at the domestic violence allegations.
"Because of the way I was treated in court. My son has visible injuries from his father and there is no doubt that Judge Hauser was not concerned, did not care at all," Vann said.
