I know some of you wonder about how close artist come to accurately reconstructing the unidentified. I came across this site that shows the actual photo against the recon. Some were right on while most don't even come close. I notice some of these unidentifieds are still listed on Doe Network, even though they have been IDed.

WOW - thanks for posting that link - very cool. I wonder if anybody else thought that the "whole" of the reconstruction looked more like the person than the details. Does that make sense?
I know that when we come upon a potential match we get very excited and start picking apart details and comparing the sketch/model to the person's photo. It seems like matches might be more likely when we are able to look at the general shape of the face (usually things like facial droops and eyes were right on) and ignore the minutae of the reconstructions.
