The search is on for a missing 15-year-old prep school student.

Parents of the missing teen, Nick Young, say he hasn't been seen since last Wednesday in Coachella, wearing his Xavier Prep School uniform.

He's described as 5 foot, 6 inches tall, 125 pounds, with brown hair that may be shaved, and a small scar on his left cheek bone.

If you have any information, you're asked to call the Rancho Mirage Police Department at 863 8990.

A 15-year-old Rancho Mirage boy is still missing after his mother reported him missing more than a week ago.

Nick Young, also known as Nick Arzano, was reported as a missing juvenile March 21.

The article mentions that this has been turned over to detectives. The family and friends are busy handing out fliers. I hope this gets the media attention it deserves.

I wonder where this boy is. We don't know enough to even guess what could have happened. Had he taken off before? What kind of a kid is he? Did he tell his friends anything before he disappeared? What is his family life like? Hopfully he will show up unharmed.

Here is more info:

"I love you mom, and I'll call you when I'm done."

Those were the last words Tracy Arzano of Rancho Mirage heard when she dropped her 15-year-old son, Nick, at Xavier College Preparatory School in Palm Desert on March 21.

Now Arzano is asking for anyone's help to find her oldest son.

"It doesn't matter why or what happened," she said. "I just want to find him."

Arzano said she called police four hours after Nick - known as Nick Young or Nick Arzano - should have been home.

"Initially, we believed he was afraid to come home because he was at a girl's house when he knew he wasn't supposed to be," she said. "But then I was getting different stories about where he went afterwards."

Arzano was told Nick left with an older boy, also a Xavier student, who dropped him off at a meat market in Coachella.

Since then, Arzano said Nick has not contacted his family or his friends, including his best friend Shawn Moore, a freshman at Palm Springs High School.

"That's what surprises me the most because I'm usually the first he calls," Shawn said.

He might have gotten mixed up with gang activity. Hopefully he'll return home soon.

Nick Arzano, also known as Nick Young, has returned home after being missing for almost two weeks.

Nick, 15, called home yesterday evening said "mom will you pick me up?" his mother Tracy Arzano said and her husband immediately picked him up at a car dealership.

That is good that he decided to come home. I wonder what he had been doing for two weeks. The mom said that they are just going to start a new chapter. If that were my son I would want to know where he had been, who he had been with, what he had been doing and why he decided to leave home. We wouldn't start a new chapter until we had finished the last one.

His best friend mentioned in the article above has a myspace. One person commented about "Nick" wondering where he went.

You can search for the best friends name within 20 miles of zip code 92270. Or I could post it but he's a minor, soooo.....
