I started flipping channels and couldn't find a thing, but did find this...

Fresno State officials say a swat team is at an apartment complex near campus this morning after a student shot and killed one person and wounded two others.

University spokeswoman Shirley Armbruster says the shootings took place late last night and that authorities are still trying to get the suspected shooter to give himself up this morning.

Fox news (America's Newsroom) just had a bit of coverage. One dead, one wounded. Dead person was not affiliated with the school. Sounded like it was in an off-campus apartment.

School has not been cancelled - classes are in session.

ETA: Now saying two wounded.

Everything I've seen so far is from the Associated Press, which is feeding to all the other outlets.

Sorry, IMHO, they shouldn't have the campus open! They thought they had the VT shooter too. But they were WRONG! That mistake cost 30 more lives.

If I had a child at that school, I'd tell them to either stay put or leave campus, ASAP, until the matter is resolved.

Looks like you were right, Fran. The perp has somehow managed to escape from where the police thought they had him contained and is on the loose.

LE is stating that the perp is allegedly going to contact his attorney and will turn himself in later.

Perhaps parents should advise their kids to forgetabout computer games at school and leave that for when they're home. IIRC, this isn't the first shooting over a stupid game!

About the perp escaping,............sorrry, this LE should be ashamed of themselves. They jeoprodized everyone on that campus. Didn't they learn anything from VT? :(

He is in custody and the shooting apparently did not happen on campus (thankfully).

and over a stupid VIDEO GAME. these kids should be doing more studying and less simulated shooting massacres. isn't that why they're in college in the first place....????
