I read the article... but did not see why the 13 year old girl was in the motel parking lot. Thank goodness she is safe.
Security videos are becoming VERY BIG in solving, or assising in solving crimes.

A man suspected in last week's abduction attempt appears to have been wearing an unusual pair of boots and a unique hat, which police hope leads them to the man.
Madison police released an enhanced photo of the man Wednesday, calling him a suspect after earlier referring to him as a "person of interest," and say they will check with area outdoors stores to try to learn more about his footwear and headwear.
"There's a lot of little things we're trying to narrow down," North Police District Capt. Mike Masterson said.
Tips are flowing in to Madison police, including some from outside Dane County, Masterson said, but police have not been able to put a name to the man seen entering the Comfort Inn, 4822 E. Washington Ave., about 7 p.m. Friday.
