Investigators say there is nothing they can do to stop a central Florida man from putting pictures of scantily clad, pre-teen models on a website.

When I was in the advertising agency business, anyone we used that was under 18 had to have their parents sign a model release form to use their image in ads. Did these parents sign one? If so, the parents are to blame also. If parents signed and allowed these photographs, they are disgusting!

I just saw this on our local news and they blurred out a lot of the images because they were too racey to show. From what I could see, as a parent, I am utterly bothered by it... these are kids modeling thongs and the such. Doing photography, I could not lower myself to the gutter to do work such as that... and I would turn down ANY parent that would come to me to do such shoots. And that is what gets me the most: what parent in their right mind would allow their kids to be dressed and photographed that way? A 9 year old doing "sexy" poses is acceptable? to a parent?!?!?!?!?! UGH!!!

I won't even go into the pagaent sites that do the picture makeovers of pagaent participants... if they aren't making the girls look like freaky dolls with their "retouching" of the images, they are dressing them to look like miniature adults. Gah, you will NEVER find me shooting kiddie pagaents... and I refuse to photoshop any child to look glammed up or doll like... it's creepy as all get out.

i found a way on to the site but i am not sure i should try and post a link. so here is what i will do. i am going to post a description of 1 of the dvd i saw on the site.

Cute Kyra Modeling DVD! Our youngest new model for 2007 is a local girl from Central Florida. Her family saw our latest "models wanted" posting on a model talent website and contacted us for more information. And here she is! We worked with her Mom to get correct sizing and bought some bikinis at local surf shops and mall stores. Kyra's resume includes some local theatre productions and radio voice over commercials, so she is very natural and comfortable in front of the camera, which makes for a great shoot. Cute Kyra and her Mom showed up promptly on time to start their session which is appreciated!
The model shoot starts with a brief interview with Kyra in her favorite tee shirt and short skirt, Kyra talks about some of her favorite things to do. Then we go to the living room area to finish the first set. The second set has Kyra modeling a brown surfer top and bikini bottom on our stage set. We've added a railing for the girls to hold on to. The stage set involves more motion and walking, twirling and dancing with some casual conversation going on between ourselves. The third set in our mirror room has Kyra in a pink catsuit that we had to trim a bit as it was still a bit big for her, as she is small for her age. (10yo with a birthday this summer) The fourth set was a cute red bikini on our sofa area and our last short set outside before the break was a blue bikini ordered from Hawaii with a little hula hoop action, some posing and water spray from Mom! Kyra does a super job.
We took our lunch break before heading to the beach for the final sets which include Kyra in a blue speedo one piece on her own boogie board and playing in the sand, and boy can she dig in the sand! I thought she was going to China! Of course she didn't want to leave! The final modeling session was done at a park in the striped short set at a pier that runs into the river. Kyra was desperately looking for a dolphin to show up like Flipper! We didn't see any so I added one to her DVD artwork!
A very nice visual portfolio with 10yo Kyra. We hope to continue to work with Kyra as she gets older, as she's a real cutie!

I have a daughter who is gorgeous, and who wants to model. The photographer is a predator preying on both children and their parents. I hear you SadieMae. But there is definitely a subset of America out there who believe this is okay and want to help their daughters get started in this as a career - and I'm sure many preteens are raring to do it and act older.

Ohhhh! Does HE pay the parents to take photos of the little girls, or do the parents pay to have photos taken by this guy? I was assuming the parents paid, kind of like there used to be Glamor Shots in the malls or something, but if HE is paying.. that creeps me out even more. Ohhhh! Does HE pay the parents to take photos of the little girls, or do the parents pay to have photos taken by this guy? I was assuming the parents paid, kind of like there used to be Glamor Shots in the malls or something, but if HE is paying.. that creeps me out even more. Is that common for the photographer to pay to get to take photos of people? I thought people paid to have their photos taken, dang.. if Sears will pay us to get a family portrait done, what am I waiting for!? (sarcasm yay)

he pays 500 dollars to the parents. he then owns the photos. when the parents get the cash they sign over all rights. he then places the photos on a dvd and makes a ad on his web site. he sells the dvd for about 35dollars a pop.
