Reminds me of the way Scott Peterson's eyes use to always look when he started into the camera - kind of a "go ahead and see if you can get me you SOB's."

I am not sure if this has been posted but this is a very good image of the sort of land that surrounds the small town of Luz... a lot of the other areas are far more covered with growth/shrubbery

It is the area surrounding the monument and it goes on for miles - I know its goes as far as Lagos which is 2km away...you can also drive up there

And that slope up to the monument is a LOT! steeper than it appears...

I think it's odd that they're releasing all of these family photos now including other family members and Madeline when she was younger. If she truly has been abducted, wouldn't it make more sense to keep the photos of her as she looks now in the public's mind so people can recognize her if they see her? It just strikes me as either a ploy to manipulate our sympathy at best or to distract us from something else at worst.

Thanks for the link Colomom. Seeing that photo of the apt, (2 out of 33) just really makes me wonder what they were thinking. Ground floor & shrub cover. Maybe it's just coming from a semi-urban area (outer boroughs of NYC) and having LE relatives and I'm judging too harshly, but that should've been an alarm right there. Ground floor apts. are easier to access and shrub provides cover. I spent about $150 more in rent a month on one apt. because of the 2 available, the less expensive one was ground floor with shrub cover. I always notice stuff like that and I'm extra vigilant when staying away from home if there's anything like that.

Also, that perfectly nice balcony. Why not some takeout tapas & wine there where they could keep an eye on the kids?

Before the Kate-disapprovers all jump to the conclusion that "no pictures of Kate with Madeleine" necessarily implies "Kate must not love Madeleine" ...

keep in mind that for Kate to be IN the picture, it requires that someone ELSE care enough to 1) bring a camera, 2) take the shot. There are families where the mother is the only one who ever thinks to lug a camera around, keep it stocked with film and/or fresh batteries, and take the time to make a snap. I suspect that the McCanns are such a family. Kate took all the pictures because Gerry was too busy playing tennis or complaining about something.

So please, folks, don't make this just another opportunity to cluck your tongues about Kate!

Actually I think both kids' arms look just fine. Maddie's right arm is at the same angle as her left arm, and the twin's arm is there at the very left--just a similar color as her outfit.

I don't believe this is a conspiracy in any way. I believe there is a child missing and the parents have shown (IMO) extremely odd behavior in this situation, and so much time and so many lies have passed that they have no choice but to ride it out and hope that she is never found and they get away with it.

One of the photos in Colomom's post #68, the one showing K and G pushing the stroller - looks like one of the twins, but who is the other child? I'm assuming the picture was taken after Maddie's "disappearance" as Kate is holding Cuddle Cat. If it was taken before May 3, it sure doesn't look like Maddie or the other twin. And very weird IMO how both parents, especially Kate, are shown in photos grinning from ear to ear in the days shortly after May 3.

I pasted the double photo to the MS paint and zoomed in to 800%. Look at the area behind them, where the stone meets the pool deck. In the photo WITH Maddie, I found that the horizontal pixels in this area, particularly the spaces between the twin and Maddie, are in an absolute sharp and straight line - as if it was painted in. Normally, without adulteration, the effect would be more subtle, blurred if you will, by pixels of various tones.

IMO, something is off with that "last photo".

I think it is very strange Colomon! I am almost afraid to post what I think is strange about it!
1. It reminds me of that other one where Madeleine was in a "seductive" pose.
2. Why is she sucking a lollipop - Is it a lollipop? & holding an untouched ice cream. This pic gives me the creeps!

Initially when I looked at it I thought her face looked very puffy?
What is she wearing? Looks like a shaped top - like there is a bustline? Looks a bit like lingerie! Am I being paranoid?

I have also read theories that he is a bodyguard of some kind that was assigned to the McCanns by the British government. I have also read that he may be a member of the PJ who was working undercover.

Why is Cuddle Cat on the bed? Did Kate supposedly move it? It's in a normal position.

It doesn't matter what Kate says, though, in some ways, because she was there alone. Her word cannot be relied upon in that light.

Look at the difference in the way the covers look between the first photo and Maddiesbed photo. They don't look the same to me. Also in the first photo cc seems to be missing?

The first photo is of the bed next to the window which was not the bed Maddie slept in. I read that Kate slept there occasionally during the holiday.
