Thanks for the link Petra, the P LE must have all the DNA tests back to be able to get all the paperwork ready for the prosecutor to have during the day. Hopefully we will know something soon.

I truly hope so Shaz; it would be unfortunate if this were yet another case that just dragged on and on and on and on, never really going a anywhere.

The McCanns now have an "extradition" lawyer. Of course, we all know they are willing to return to Portugal to be interviewed - that IS what they said, right? (LOL)

Brian Kennedy should choose his words more carefully.
I wanted to scream when he said, "The children are fine."
Maybe Sean and Amelie are okay, but Madeline certainly is NOT fine!!! Has she just been completely excised from the family?
URGE TO SCREAM!!!
Sorry, that statement just hit me all wrong.

How much you wanna bet that if they get called back, they'll drag those twins with them as a "buffer" against being arrested? "We don't have anyone here to take the twins!!!"

I don't understand that article at the top of this page. The police found a full DNA match in the trunk of the car that couldn't be explained by transferrence, and couldn't have come from blood on a weeks-dead corpse? So where do they think it came from--a live Maddie?

McCann twins may go into care

Kate and Gerry McCann’s two-year-old twins could be placed on an “at risk” register or taken into care after social workers and police held a lengthy meeting yesterday to discuss the family’s future.

And this...they've hired two top defense attorneys:
The McCanns have vowed to fight to clear their names, and hired two of the country’s leading solicitors, Michael Caplan QC and Angus McBride, to advise them on how to proceed with defending themselves against allegations that they “accidentally” killed Madeleine and then hid her body.

I have a feeling this thing runs far deeper than we have ever imagined.
In an article I read it said the DNA was found under the rug in the boot (trunk) of the car. I am having a hard time grasping that...

I think they deserve to lose them is they are guilty of having any part in Madeleine's death or covering up Madeleine's death. I just don't have any sympathy for them b/c they have lied so much, they obviously have stuff to hide and we may just know the tip of the iceberg.

I feel so, so bad for these poor twins... :( I'm convinced the McCanns have something to do with Maddie's disappearance (I just switch theories about how what and when all the time) but Sean and Amelie just know they're 'mommy and daddy', yanno? Poor, poor kids... why didn't these folks think of their children... all three of them... ugh I hope they will finally fess up!

In an article I read it said the DNA was found under the rug in the boot (trunk) of the car. I am having a hard time grasping that...
Hmmm....under the rug. Why do I have the sense that something "leaked". That is pretty much the only way I have ever encountered something like that in my car trunk. Like a soda bottle with a loose cap, that slowly dribbled out. The liquid kind of ran under the carpeting in the trunk.
DNA, under the rug, makes me think that the source was a drip or a leak. Some of the visuals going through my mind, are a bit too graphic to post. But I'm sure you get the idea. Perhaps the quantity of the biological fluid present, would suggest one thing or another. i.e. a lot = cavity leakage; microscopic amount = transfer.
I really don't want to believe that the parents did this. But man, this just does not look good. Especially the report that Kate refused to answer interview questions. Does not look good.

She is fearful of losing all three children? I would think under the stress of the investigations, they would be smart enough to put the twins with family. Instead she kept them in Portugal.
These twin boys are already scarred from all the press, and these parents have shown in the face of this horrible mess, that their parenting judgement is BAD. The choices they have made will haunt them all for years to come.
The twins deserve stability and loving homes.
The McCanns will be charged. The DNA is proof period!
I think they stayed in Portugal out of fear that if they returned to the UK they would lose their two remaining children. From the get go they should have been investagated for child neglect and child endangerment.

Friends of McCanns Refuse to Travel to Portugual
A source close to the investigation claims that four of the seven friends who were in Praia da Luz on May 3 and took part in the dinner at the Tapas Bar Restaurant refused to travel to Portugal and be questioned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
