I'm not trying to be insensitive or insult anyone, but does Ft. Bragg have a lot of cases of rape?

I think there is a somewhat high incidence but then I am not that well versed in the crime stats from the area.. I do know there have been a lot of other serious crimes committed on and around the base some of which involve some of the military personnel. For instance the was a crime not long ago of a guy stationed at Fort Bragg who allegedly shot the husband of the woman he was having an affair with.. though there was conflicting stories as to which of them was the actual shooter. Other similar stories such as this one are occurring as well... Another thing to note here is that the area has a lot of farming and a lot of migrants and illegals living in and around the Fort Bragg area. not pointing fingers specifically but there are more sources of possible criminals than just the base... as well as every other criminal walking around there. According to one website there are 2 sex offenders living in Fort bragg and 280 in Fayettville..according to another site there are about 9 rapes and 250 murders in Fort Bragg but in the surrounding area there are 550 rapes and 150 murders.. take from that what you will..

I still believe that she must have met a serviceman somewhere and become involved with him. Her bookbag was found with her jacket folded neatly under it like she had set them there while she waited for someone. I can't figure anyother way they would have been left there like they were with the jacket folded underneath the book bag. Maybe he picked her up and she neglected to grab her belongings. She could be dead somewhere or still with him. It doesn't sound like she had any strong ties anywhere.
