Facts About Kim's Disappearance

Kimberly was last seen between April 8, 1989 (According to her mom).
She was driving her 1980 burgundy Sunbird to her cousin's apartment to do laundry and never showed up.
Kimberly had been dating a Dalzell Thompkins at the time and he was known to be abusive.
Dalzell is still in Texas.
Dalzell failed lie detector all three times he took it, but they could not hold him for further questioning because of lack of evidence and because Kimberly was considered a "consenting adult" and was not considered high risk missing.
Kimberly's cousin saw her the night she went missing. She had gone shopping and bought jewelry and clothing to go on a date with a new guy - not Dalezell. Cousin never saw Kimberly again.
Car was found hidden under brush and completely gutted. Kimberly was known to always keep a change of clothes in her trunk as she would go to Killeen, TX to the Army base and kept clothes with her for the weekend at all times. When car was found there was NOTHING in the car and trunk empty, Car appeared to have been cleaned of evidence. Was found outside of Dallas. Unknown when car found.
Kimberly had friend in Houston, but not very close with him. Was a friend of her sister's.
Graduate from Pflugelville High School in Austin, TX.
Cousin reported her missing the next day (April 9, 1989).
Medium brown hair brown eyes. Always dyed her hair light brown or medium brown.
Worked as a hostess at Lowe's Anatoll hotel in Dallas.
Boyfriend was forbidden from being on the property as he harassed her while at work.

Kimberly Shawn Cheatham's TXMPCH Info. Please note on her TXMPCH page her height is listed as 4'6". This is NOT correct. She is actually 4'8" to 4'10" according to her mother.

THOMPKINS, DALZELL TYRONE

The last address I have for him is in Irving which is a suburb of Dallas. It also appears that he was at some time living with a girl 20 years younger than him. Different last name. I don't know if that could be a daughter or a girlfriend. She was born in 1984.

Thank you for the spelling correction of Dalzell's name. We got the information I posted from Kim's mom. She is a member over at SKM. I am trying to spread the word as much as possible. Do you know of any good forums I can post to or any media that might be willing to cover her story? Thanks!

A MILLION thank you's for finding the correct spelling of his name. I know RK and I had a discussion how he spelled it, and Kimberly's mother wasn't sure of the spelling. That helps a lot.

And thank you RK for starting this thread for Kimberly. I have spoken with her mother on several occasions and it always breaks my heart because she says that she hopes that God gives her another day each day so that she can find out where her daughter is. Her mother is a lovely woman, and I would so like to bring closure to her family.

I thought to look up his criminal record on PublicData.com and according to that website, he doesn't have one. So he may have been abusive but apparently he never got caught by any of the agencies that publicdata.com gets information from.

I searched for him on myspace. I was also contacted by Kimberly's cousin on myspace. I have asked him to join us on someoneknowsme - he is in his 40's so he would possibly be able to give us some additional info about Kimberly. *crosses fingers*

I noticed a billboard today and was reminded that there is a DJ here on a predominately rap station named Skip Cheatham. He's been around forever. Can you ask Kim's mother if that guy is related to them? That would be an excellent source of publicity.

Interesting fact: One of Dalzell Thompkins friends called Dallas, Texas police back in 2005 and told them that Dalzell was killed in a motorcycle accident in Louisiana and told the police officer when the funeral was supposed to be and all. It turns out that Dalzell was not killed in a motorcycle accident and is still alive today.
