I'm going to start researching the bedding. I believe it to be a "bed-in-a-bag" with a "sheet music" theme. The sheets appear to be solid black stripes with a grey stripe. I believe the grey stripe is a music staff (the 5 bar staff that is on sheet music). It appears to be a grey stripe in the video though, because the bars are relatively close together.

I'm also sending my composite of the newborn and Patience to the tip email.

Reanne, I definately think you have the right fabric design. What concerns me is it being a dustruffle. Now it could be, and it could have somehow slid and been moved from up under the mattress to hanging off and out from under the mattress. Which is literally impossible to do, without it being a direct intentional act of pulling on the ruffle to have it piled on the floor in the display as seen on the floor.

As your checking, see if sets come with the stripes, flat being the stripes, and the musical notes being the them for the top flat sheet. Also, it could possible be a comforter, and some of it being kicked or pushed under the bed.

The problem with me is the dust ruffles position. It's not normal for it to hang and be piled together beside the bed on the floor in that way.

At the beginning of the tape, it is obvious the pillows, sheet is very well made and straight. Pillows in one photo are fluffed and stripes in correct display as to make up a bed properly. In the later photos after we believe the act was completed, the bed is rustled, and you can tell it's been laid on along with moving around on the bed. Also the pillows are in a different position. Especially the pillow on the right, it's smushed and sunk in and jammed up towards the wall and the left pillow.

Also most dust ruffles I've ever seen, only has the pretty design on the outer borders that are hanging from under the mattress to be seen. The part of the dust ruffle that actually is positioned under the mattress has a white, or mesh fabric, not the entire full print as that is seen on the outside of the bed.

I think the tape is TURD's! I think TURD was the one filming the 10-12 year old girl and I think that's why he was closed down with investigators. I think he may also have been involved in the Patience video as well. Either he provided the tape or camcorder or both.

I'm assuming this is not a digital camera. It's the type where you have to insert a tape (various sizes). So how does one girl in a close up shot of her in her bedroom get on the same tape as the abused girl?

Did he buy the recorder at a garage sale and the tape was in there from someone else? Did he just find a used tape and put it in his own camera? If I saw myself on a tape recording, I can tell you who took that picture, especially if it's of me sitting on my bed in my bedroom! That tape is too good of quality for it to have been taken of the older girl secretly, like with a hat-cam or the hidden camera in glasses etc.

I'm really struggling with this.

I have a thing about bedding. I love to buy bedding. I have no idea why. But here is my 2 cents about this.
1. the bed may not have a frame, so that is why the dust ruffle is pooling on the floor
2. there are some dust ruffles or bed skirts that come in 18 inches. for high beds.
3. It might be a ruffle for a king or queen bed that they got on sale and the bed is smaller. Thus causing the pooling at the bottom of the bed.

The last two bedding sets I've bought, the dust ruffle is too long for my bed. It hangs like 2 inches on the floor, and my bed does have a frame. I've had sheets like the ones on the bed, or similar looking sheets. Mine were black and grey striped (I also owned ones that were brown/tan striped). But this was many years ago (mid 90's) and they were bought at JC Penney's.
I haven't looked for this info on news sites, but has it been said how they ID'd the second girl? Did her family come forward?

Hope you don't mind me snipping your post, KL - I must admit I haven't caught up completely on this third thread (working on photos and links and stuff for our precious Patience), but I wanted to make a quick comment on what you said...

DH and I have always had our mattresses/box springs on the floor. We tried a bedframe once and we both hated it. Long story, but we both prefer our bed on the floor. We bought a dust ruffle just so we had something to cover the box spring and if we didn't tuck it under the box spring, it would've dragged on the floor like the music note thing in these new pics. So, it's very possible that the perps bed is not on a bedframe at all, and it really IS a dust ruffle!! JMO.

The latest news update said that someone recognized the older girl and called it in. She had no idea about this story or that she was taped. She doesnt recognize the girl or the man. Maybe she saw someone but didn't see the camera? Maybe he was really far away from the window? And if that was a few years ago, it's probably something that faded away in her memory.

From reading all the coverage, I think it may have happened this way... the tape exists of Patience. There's room on the tape for more exciting footage. :sick: So the perv goes roaming about, peeking in windows. Maybe looking for a victim to kidnap, maybe just wanting some video. He peeks in this girl's window, and starts filming. She hears something, perhaps calls out to her folks or something, "Mom? did you call me?" or something like that (the first picture). Then she sees him in the window, or sees something unusual, and he stops filming and runs.

They say over and over again in the articles that she can't offer much help as to WHO it was. But she probably has been able to narrow down WHEN it was, just by the things in her room or the clothes she wore, I would imagine. If it was recently, she would be able to say, oh yeah, that happened the first week of school, or the night before the science test, or whatever. If it was back in 2003, though, she might be able to say something like, That was when I was ten, before I got that cool poster for my wall on my 11th birthday, or before I cut my hair short, or something. I am sure she could give some time frame. I am guessing the police are keeping that information to themselves right now. But I think it ties into the Detective confirming they were exactly correct in the age range for that girl. They know how old she is now, and they know how old she was in that video.

I think this was a good camera, but the footage was taken secretly. It could have been taken by the same perp, or a different perp who wanted to add to the tape, or I guess it could have been taken before Patience's portion, although that seems unlikely to me. More likely it would have been taped over than retained on purpose since they didn't actually get to "see anything".

A few people did tests and concluded that if it was a hand, you would see the real hand in the picture too, as it would have to be very close to the TV (no more than 6 inches) to show up that big.

If it's on VHS tape, he was either using VHS cam or a VHS C cam. I doubt he was using a VHS C cam. Those are professional cameras and are expencive back then. He maybe using a Hi8 and putting it on VHS tape. Back in the years they were thinking this was done, digital was pretty expencive. Between 1000-3000 dollars. On top of that, the pictures are pretty grainy...I think it was a VHS cam. I didn't see the photos of the 2nd girl because I couldn't get into the site yesterday. Does anyone have that cashe d?

He maybe using a Hi8 and putting it on VHS tape. Back in the years they were thinking this was done, digital was pretty expencive. Between 1000-3000 dollars. On top of that, the pictures are pretty grainy...I think it was a VHS cam. I didn't see the photos of the 2nd girl because I couldn't get into the site yesterday. Does anyone have that cashe d?

He was probably using a Sony Handycam which is Hi8 8mm tape format. I had one about 3-4 years ago. I'd have to hook the camcorder up to the TV and transfer from the 8mm tape to a VHS tape or I could buy a specialized VHS tape and put the 8mm Hi8 tape inside a special slot and it would play on a VCR.

It's a pain to convert the film to regular VHS tapes, but it's done all the time.

My husband and I ride motorcycles. I don't know about him, but usually when we go for a ride we get a group together and hit the road. We live no where near a desert, but if we did and if I wanted to go for a ride, I MOST CERTAINLY would not go for a ride in the desert ALONE!

I agree. Maybe the mother is cracked out or something and has no idea what her boyfriend or husband is doing to her child.

I don't think she's his biological daughter. She doesn't look anything like him. He appears to have very dark eyes and hair and she's blond with blue eyes. Darker traits are usually more dominant. Considering the fact that police have said that she appeared used to this type of abuse, I think they definitely live together in the same house.

FWIW, I have never encountered a man living alone that had a dust ruffle on his bed unless there was a female living there or his mother decorated for him. Also, I believe that most guys that are living alone, will buy the bed-in-a-bag comforter sets because they're easier than shopping for individual sheets. I searched everywhere looking for a set that looked like this but couldn't find it anywhere (I searched Overstock, Ralph Lauren, Bed Bath & Beyond, Linens & Things, Kmart, Target, Walmart, eBay, Domestications, Fingerhut, Home Trends, Macy's, HSN, and QVC).

Finally able to get back. Last night I found 3 children in the NAMEC that could be Patience. In Thread 2, Posts 263,269 and 278. Dee did a great job of superimposing the child's face over the baby in Post 277! It was so sad to go through all those missing children. The 3 links I found had such sad histories. I personally think the baby was a close one. I'm just getting back on and will be going back and reading to catch up but I wondered if anyone knows or has been able to check the links out and what do you think? That's a good thought. I've also searched the net for that dust ruffle but couldn't find anything that looked like that. Only people that care about music would have something unique like that. I see that posters are somewhat unclear on how/when Turd (perfect nick if you ask me), turned in the tape. Turd obtained the tape (somehow). Showed it to friends, who called LE. LE called Turd, who voluntarily turned the tape over to LE. Turd told LE he had just found the tape in the desert. Police know that's a lie because his friends statements dispute that. Hence, the LE statement. "Tucks friends exposed his string of lie's."

The reason Turd is being charged is because of hanging on to the tape for so long and showing it to friends.

I doubt Turd filmed the second 10-12 yr old because he would have erased that part of the tape. But then Turd doesn't seem to be too bright.

A child appearance can change drastically in 3 or 4 years, so unless someone has known her since then they may not recognize her as she looks today.

Also, if this has been going on most of her life it's doubtful that she has ever had a physical, or if going to school all they ask for are immunitization records and proof of guardainship/parent or other. Immunitizations can be obtained from Clinics, without ever seening a doctor. Most schools do keep a photo in a childs 'Cum' folder of class photos however, IF she is going to school.

After she's found, this little girl will need a lot of help to learn to have a stable life, but she has one thing in her favor.. so many people who don't even know her, caring so much and trying their hardest to find her. You guys make my day to see how desperately you all want to help find this girl and get her safe.

She probably thinks no one cares, they've probably told her that no one will ever miss her among other lies. Clearly (and thankfully), people do care. Just knowing that fact in the future will likely help her more than anyone can know.

I can't watch any news clips about it and I'm just barely skimming the threads to get updates for when she is found. It's to upsetting and too close to home for me to get to close to, but I do pray for her every day. I just wanted to thank you all for being so caring about a little girl you don't even know.

I thought I had read earlier in the threads that she's not reacting emotionally to the trauma or seems to be used to the trauma being done (I forget the exact words, sorry). She's likely dissociating as a defense mechanism. Obviously I can't diagnose based off news articles, photos, or what others write on the internet.. but I do know from personal childhood experience what can happen because of trauma like this.

She deserves a happy life and I can't wait to read that she'll be given that chance with a loving, caring family to protect her.

I think you probably have to post the actual link on a bulletin. My assumption was that the code was if you were to put it on your actual page (under you Interests section or somewhere like that). Maybe someone else knows more.

After she's found, this little girl will need a lot of help to learn to have a stable life, but she has one thing in her favor.. so many people who don't even know her, caring so much and trying their hardest to find her. You guys make my day to see how desperately you all want to help find this girl and get her safe.

She probably thinks no one cares, they've probably told her that no one will ever miss her among other lies. Clearly (and thankfully), people do care. Just knowing that fact in the future will likely help her more than anyone can know.

I can't watch any news clips about it and I'm just barely skimming the threads to get updates for when she is found. It's to upsetting and too close to home for me to get to close to, but I do pray for her every day. I just wanted to thank you all for being so caring about a little girl you don't even know.

I thought I had read earlier in the threads that she's not reacting emotionally to the trauma or seems to be used to the trauma being done (I forget the exact words, sorry). She's likely dissociating as a defense mechanism. Obviously I can't diagnose based off news articles, photos, or what others write on the internet.. but I do know from personal childhood experience what can happen because of trauma like this.

She deserves a happy life and I can't wait to read that she'll be given that chance with a loving, caring family to protect her.

I worry about her already seeming to disassociate because that will indeed take some long and intensive counseling to bring her back to herself. Think Sybil. Although right now that's the only way she can cope, so it has to be, I guess.

I know what you mean about it being too close for comfort. Sometimes I have to step back and do something else to get my mind off these creeps. I really admire all those here that are working so hard in all different areas to help find Patience.

If it's on VHS tape, he was either using VHS cam or a VHS C cam. I doubt he was using a VHS C cam. Those are professional cameras and are expencive back then. He maybe using a Hi8 and putting it on VHS tape. Back in the years they were thinking this was done, digital was pretty expencive. Between 1000-3000 dollars. On top of that, the pictures are pretty grainy...I think it was a VHS cam.

I agree that this is TAPE.
But I bought my husband a VHS-C in...oh...1999 and it was less than $500.

As much as I think it looks like him, seems since he is in custody, they've had this tip since the first day and they have video of his body, I'm pretty sure they've ruled him out or we'd be hearing about NV detectives in TX. There is still a chance, but I doubt it at this time.

You can't be to cautious on this, time is of the essense. If this guy is an uncle/sitter's husband/boyfriend and threatened this girl she may not talk but the school may notice her. There should be no corners cut to find her, EVERYONE needs to look for her.

Just an FYI, I have been searching for both spellings, Darren & Darrin. The news media has been spelling it Darren but I have found an arrest record/warrant for him under Darrin. Until they give us something concrete I'm not ruling out either one.

If she's 3 or 4 in the video, which I think she is, then she'd be approaching 5 or 6 now. Legal age for school is 5 years old. She may have just started THIS year or they have her in a private daycare for Kindergarten... or they're homeschooling her....

I do not think the nose, chin and eyebrows match (from what I can see above his sungalsses).

The nose in the myspace page picture looks wider, the chin looks wider and the eyebrows do not appear to have those raised areas that Tuck's do.

I realize that they may be gone from there now, but if Tuck found the tape as recent as he claims he did they are probably still around there.

I believe you are right in the assumption since the other girl on the tape and Tuck are both from Pahrump, NV that the perp is probably a local. He could still be in the area, but since LE has the John Doe warrant which crosses state lines...it makes me think they suspect this guy has already run.

I believe you are right in the assumption since the other girl on the tape and Tuck are both from Pahrump, NV that the perp is probably a local. He could still be in the area, but since LE has the John Doe warrant which crosses state lines...it makes me think they suspect this guy has already run.

I think they got the John Doe Warrant because they had no clue where he was from or where he could be.
