Worldwide manhunt for man who rapes boys -- CAPTURED

Interpol on Monday took the unprecendented step of making a global appeal for help to identify a man from digitally reconstructed photos taken from the Internet that it said showed him sexually abusing underage boys.

The man's face was disguised by digital alteration, but the images were capable of being restored, according to a bulletin from Interpol -- the international police agency based in Lyon, France.

Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble said the pictures have been on the the Internet for several years, but investigators have been unable to determine the man's identity or nationality.

"We have tried all other means to identify and to bring him to justice, but we are now convinced that without the public's help this sexual predator could continue to rape and sexually abuse young children whose ages appear to range from six to early teens," Noble said.

I have already been searching for google images for terms like "Vietnam boys", "Vietnam visit boys", and of course, I found a few pictures that at first glance looked promising, but then upon closer investigation, they were nothing! I would imagine this guy has some sort of job where he travels internationally, and I can pretty much guarantee you that he has a presence on the net that isn't restricted to the pedophile sites. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack, however. That is the beatuy of US, however. No telling what we may stumble upon that would be helpful. I have saved the images from the news report for comparison, and will look somemore tonight. Work just gets in my way!!! :crazy:

From what I read, they didn't want the pervs to know they have the technology to "unswirl" the faces. Guess swirling must be a popular way of disguising themselves in their sicko videos. And while it seems Interpol waited too long to release the pick, I'm not sure they were able to unswirl 5 years ago, I think maybe their ability to do that is more recent. Seems like if they didn't want to advertise their unswirling ability, they could have released the unswirled picture and not the video of the unswirling, if that makes any sense. Sure some pedos would have caught on anyway the Interpol can unswirl, but not all of them.

I thought of John Mark Karr when I first read about this guy, but not because I thought he resembled Karr -- it just occurred to me that Karr had been picked up in Thailand, which is one of the worst countries in the world for child sex tourism. To my mind, this was another westerner who knew the go-to places.

Then today we find out that Mr. Interpol Perv was teaching English in S. Korea, much as Karr was tutoring, teaching and perving his way across Europe and other places. I went ahead and did a blog entry (http://www.truecrimeweblog.com/2007/10/interpol-hot-on-trail-of-pedophile.html) about this newest development. It occurred to me that Karr left a lot of pages & profiles up prior to his arrest in Bangkok, and when I was researching Karr, I noted a lot of other westerners who were teaching English abroad with blogs, having chats on message boards -- I'd bet this guy had a seemingly "normal" web presence too. At the very least, it might be interesting to see if the school where he taught English had his mug posted online in his English teacher capacity.

The cool thing about both Christopher Neil's and Chester Stiles' cases is that LE can see what happens when they use the general public to help catch these child molesters. Once people were mobilized to BOLO, it hardly took any time to round them up.

Neil is accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old Thai boy, who contacted police after seeing Neil's face on television following his arrest. The child claims Neil paid him $15 to $30 to perform oral sex in 2003, while he was living in Thailand.
