My thought on this is that he would be into the older women because they had little children! Just like so many other pedo, they have to go after the women first before they can have access to their real prey.

So besides ID'ing him for LE she may also have given them info that LE didn't release to not compromise the case. And she may have been the one to tell them where they could find Stephani living.

Unfortunately, and they're not the only ones, some people live like this. They have friends/family that are criminals. It's not that big a deal to them.

I live in a city that has a lot of areas that is what most people would call white trash. I couldn't believe some of the stories my daughter came home from school with. How so and so's uncle brought a stripper home last night and they were doing drugs in the same house this child lived. I think sexual assault of a minor child/toddler/infant should qualify you for DP. I don't know that Elaine does hate Tina - Tina and Chester stayed "as a couple" with Elaine, I think for a month, according to that other blog.

I think Elaine has a live and let live attitude UNTIL it crosses a legality. (although only if it impacts her, she wouldn't move in with him with his pot growing scheme, but didn't mind that it existed.) I think there may be more behind her story as well....she however comes across as more truthful at this point.

The revulsion she must feel at what a monster he was and that she didn't catch is what is prompting this. (IMO)

I think by 'attention' they mean what is going on around her. They have had her in contact with a psychologist, so I have a feeling that has something to do with the 'attention'.

Good question. If Elaine's interview was truthful....sounds like she was the initial person to identify CAS.......then from there gave LE info she knew about him which would include Tina I'm sure.....purely speculation on my part but I assume LE headed straight to Tina after talking with Elaine.

I think that when Elaine says that CAS was only into pot, no other drugs, that is to cover herself with LE. He has been named by other Family Members as a supplier of pot to big entertainers and bands performing in Vegas. My take on this from Elaine's story was that the detective was trying to reach him and she now knows CAS didn't really try to get back in touch with them, although he pretended to. After she explains that he set the alarm to get up early and start calling the detective again she says:
Even looking back now I can see how I was fooled. It seems to me like she just believed he was trying to "do the right thing" by following up with this detective, when really he was avoiding the detective. Essentially from her story he avoids the first polygraph, the day they are meeting with the detective, and skips the next two polygraphs from what she knows. But then uses as an excuse that he is afraid of the polygraph or that somehow, even though he is "innocent", that polygraph could be used against him.

Now the part where no one checked back with Elaine on CAS' whereabouts from apparently March of 2004 to the present - that may be the detective's fault. I guess it would depend on how she presented the status of their relationship. If LE called me about someone I used to date, and I said "sorry, he is living with his new girlfriend now, I don't know how to reach them...", I would be pretty upset if they kept calling me to check and see if he had been around. :) On the other hand, since he HAD been around, it was probably her responsibility to let LE know, and she apparently did not until she saw his face on the news. :(

From Stephani's reaction at the very beginning with the reporter at her door, you know they knew Stiles was not a good guy. So, why would you associate with and leave your kids with this type of guy? I definitely think someone (Tina) was helping CAS this entire time. If he was driving around the Nevada area then where did he get gas money and liquor money?? I think I saw the LE (at the time of arrest) holding up a bottle of liquor (Crown Royal, if I saw it correctly) which is pretty expensive! I was also thinking that CAS must have known that he was gonna get in trouble soon because he started growing out his hair. It had to be a substantial amount of time to grow it that long. I mean his facial hair was three weeks worth of growth and there wasnt that much present...so his hair on his head had to be months and months worth of growth. Perhaps Tina knew the video was missing and told CAS and he knew it would be just a matter time before it surfacing again, so he started growing it knowing he was going to have to run soon. Maybe Tuck was one of his drug customers and stole it from the drug house while he was there?? Or perhaps Tuck was a participant in their orgies and knew it existed and wanted it for whatever sick reasons. Just some thoughts.
