Police in Kokomo are asking for the public's help in locating an 8 -month-old child.

Cavan Paul Michael Murray was last seen with his father Michael McElheny Tuesday morning.

Michael and Cavan may have been seen in Lafatette on Thursday.

Michael drives a gold, 2000 Dodge Stratus bearing Indiana Kids First plate KX6828.

Michigan police on Monday were trying to find for a second time a man who authorities said took his 9-month-old son from the Kokomo home of the boy's mother last week.


Kokomo police said Michael McElheny, 27, disappeared with 9-month-old Cavan Murray on Oct. 30 and called the woman Monday morning to say he and the baby were in Niles, Mich., visiting McElheny's uncle.

Kokomo police contacted Niles police, who confirmed that McElheny and the son were there and that the baby was OK. But Niles police couldn't find them later Monday when they intended to take the child on authority of a court order that a judge granted the boy's mother Monday afternoon...
