Family members are growing increasingly concerned about a New Iberia teenager missing for more than two weeks.
Aaron Stelly, 18, was last seen by family members on Oct. 14.
His mother, Melissa Holden, said a missing persons report was filed with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office on Tuesday. "It's not normal for him not to contact me for two or three days, and he hasn't called anybody," Holden said. "His friends and family are very, very concerned about him."
Holden said she last saw Stelly at her granddaughter's birthday party. She said his roommates told her they have not seen him since they left to work offshore shortly after the party.
Stelly is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and has tattoos on his neck and forearms.
Iberia Parish Sheriff Sid Hebert said Stelly has been entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person. He said detectives do not think foul play is involved.
Stelly asked anyone with information on her son's disappearance to call the sheriff's office at 369-3711 or her at 364-5835.
