Your post had me asking are they saying she didn't drown in the tub. It sounds like they are saying the tub never had water in it. So I'm sitting here reading Gretawire comments trying to figure out where Kathleen drowned. A smart cookie made this post and it makes sense. Duh, he drowned her in the toilet.

I Can’t believe that the Police has not figured out that this Petersen Guy propably took his 3rd wife and put her head in the toilet to drown her.All the while beating her head against the Toiletbowl back and forth and up and down this accounting for her Bruises and then the last blow on her head to do her in for sure.He then put her in the Bathtub and thats why her hair was the only thing that was wet.That Medical examiner mast be some kind of Moran if he missed all of that. If he drowned her in the toilet, why would she have a gash in the back of her head? Was there any bruising on her forehead? I'd imagine someone that was being drowned in a toilet would have substantial bruising to the forehead area, as well as the arms and neck.

No matter how I twist this around it makes no sense. I imagine if someone was trying to hold her head down in the toliet that she would be fighting back hard. It's just instinct and could have whacked her head as she was trying to free herself.

But, how could the wound have been fresh and blood in the tub ??? It's so puzzling to me that the jury could have found this accidental. If she drowned and the water drained out, the blood would have washed away. With blood in the tub, it would indicate that she survived her drowning and died of the wounds. But, now we hear that the wounds weren't enough to knock her unconcious. So how does a concious person accidentally drown in a bathtub with a clean tox screen?

It's a conundrum ....

The whole thing smells of serious corruption. How can a death be ruled accidental if there was that much bruising? I haven't read the autopsy report but from reading the comments from you guys, it just doesn't make any sense! How can a coroner rule a death an accidental drowning if there were injuries other than the gash on her head? Was there even water in her lungs?

Did the police pay for the hotel room? If so, I'd say that a substantial threat existed.

I really feel the head gash was part of the beating she took (with a night stick, IMO). The autopsy talks about circular wounds all over her body. Then she has abrasions on the left side of her body. Left buttock, left elbow, left hand. left ankle as well, IIRC. In the presser the DA says that those types of abrasions are not caused by a smooth surface found in a bathtub. Another reason they reopened the case.

IMO, Drew beat the crap out of Kathleen, then drug her across carpet.

I read somewhere that someone is speculating he hurt one of them with a golf club? and when asked where he was on the day of the murder/dissapearance he first said golfing and then said fishing? Is this so?

Just wondering because he might have been giving a clue if he really did beat her with a golf club to death and gave his alibi as "golfing".

The abrasion on the left buttock and left elbow i belive came from being drug across a surface. Imagine him dragging her by her right arm and leg, that would leave the left buttock and left elbow to be drug arcoss the surface. The linear abrasions on the right wrist maybe came from being bound? Also, when i read the report, the rest of the oval bruising sounded like the type you get from someones fingertips when they are restraining you. The size i think might be a bit to small for the baton but i think that would the perfect size for a fingertip type bruise. The 3 bruises on the abdomen might have came from the baton being shoved into her stomach. Just a thought...

Then he dragged her to the bathroom, and put her in the bathtub, BUT WAIT, there's blood, so he takes her out and dunks her head in the toilet, washes down the bathtub, and then puts her back in there. I beleive the head wound would now seep blood around her scalp/hair.

And when Stacy is pulling away from his "manipulations", he then gets rid of her. I still think the PLANE is the clue to finding Stacy. The radius needs to be expanded on locating her body. (imho)

But I fully beleive he will be behind bars by tomorrow night!!!

I'm stunned that he had enough juice to get rehired. How could a court of appeal consider firing him an over-reaction? He SHOULD HAVE BEEN brought up on charges at the time!

I read the comments to Gretawire late last night, and someone posted with the name Ric Sims. Other posters were skeptical it was the real Ric, but one poster who was at the church where searchers meet in Bolingbrook had met Ric there the day before, described what he was wearing and asked Ric what they talked about. Ric replied to his question, evidently accurately, as that poster verified it was the real Ric.

Ric stated he had security protection. A poster asked if the local police had provided that protection, and Ric said no, it was private protection. I take that to mean that he's hired his own security.

After listening to the audio file of Greta speaking with crew on location in Bolingbrook, it sounds like something big is in the works for Monday. Greta said viewers following this case won't want to miss Monday's program. I got the impression that Greta is going to Bolingbrook over the weekend.

BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (CBS) ― A source tells CBS 2 sister station WBBM Newsradio 780 that search teams might have located a shallow grave while searching for missing Bolingbrook mother Stacy Peterson.

Meanwhile, her husband, Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, has been stripped of his powers, and authorities are looking at him Saturday morning as a suspect in the disappearance of his wife.

Sources told WBBM Newsradio 780's Mary Frances Bragiel that something suspected to be a shallow grave was found by search teams from the professional search group Texas Equusearch, which has had members searching for Stacy Peterson for the last week.

I read the comments to Gretawire late last night, and someone posted with the name Ric Sims. Other posters were skeptical it was the real Ric, but one poster who was at the church where searchers meet in Bolingbrook had met Ric there the day before, described what he was wearing and asked Ric what they talked about. Ric replied to his question, evidently accurately, as that poster verified it was the real Ric.

Ric stated he had security protection. A poster asked if the local police had provided that protection, and Ric said no, it was private protection. I take that to mean that he's hired his own security.

After listening to the audio file of Greta speaking with crew on location in Bolingbrook, it sounds like something big is in the works for Monday. Greta said viewers following this case won't want to miss Monday's program. I got the impression that Greta is going to Bolingbrook over the weekend.

And Greta posted that it was indeed Ric that is posting on her site.

I've been puzzling over the information the police released about DP refusing to let investigators search the Pontiac Grand Prix. It makes no sense to me that he would right out of the gate refuse investigators access to Stacy's vehicle that he claims he retrieved from the airport. I mean talk about suspicious ... and he had to know that looked very suspicious. Pretty risky and arrogant position for him to take. And, why exactly are LE letting that info be public?

We were discussing this earlier today. There was suposidly a police officer who was friends with Drew on the jury. One of the jurers told the press that he talked the whole time about what a great guy DP was and how he never would have done such a thing.

The abrasion on the left buttock and left elbow i belive came from being drug across a surface. Imagine him dragging her by her right arm and leg, that would leave the left buttock and left elbow to be drug arcoss the surface. The linear abrasions on the right wrist maybe came from being bound? Also, when i read the report, the rest of the oval bruising sounded like the type you get from someones fingertips when they are restraining you. The size i think might be a bit to small for the baton but i think that would the perfect size for a fingertip type bruise. The 3 bruises on the abdomen might have came from the baton being shoved into her stomach. Just a thought...

There is a type of police baton that is different from the one someone linked a pic of earlier in this thread. It is called an ASP. You say it just like it sounds..."asp", like the snake.

I don't have a pic, but it is a telescoping baton, larger and padded at grip, smaller at the tip. When collapsed, it fits nicely in the utility belt. When drawn, it snaps out to full length with a firm flick of the wrist.

My point is that the smaller circular bruises could have come from being poked with an asp baton.

She also stated she thought he is innocent and that when she had lunch with Stacy she seemed fine. She said Stacy took off and disapeared just like her Mother had done. She stated she didnt know there was an order of protection in the KS case. And why DP wasnt helping in the search, he didnt want to get in the way.


Drew's mom also was asked what she thought or knew of his buddy who was staying at the house. She said that he is a very nice young man...and she aslo said that she has never met him in the same breath. Okey-dokey. I won't be drinking any of the kool-aid at her house.

I wouldn't call it non-standared. It is the type of baton that all of the officers in my city carry, as far as I know. You might call it "new-fangled" compaerd to the bulkier type of baton with the handle that sticks out.

My hubby the cop gets magazines in the mail and e-mail all the time from businesses that sell police equipment and I'd be very surprized if Drew doesn't too. Often, they even send him (mine, not Drew) stuff to have for free- hoping he will like it and recommend it for the dept. It's like a Christmas catalog for cops. There are all kinds of gadjets and weapons, restraints protective gear, night-vision stuff...A creep like Drew probably is a good customer. No telling what he's got.

Geraldo is next door with Sharon Bychowsky and Pam Bosco who is Stacy's step mother. She corrected Geraldo and said that she's actually a legal guardian of Cassandra, and that Stacy and Cassandra are half sisters.

Geraldo said that as they are speaking, relatives of Stacy's are at the Peterson home to retrieve the ashes of Stacy's sister, Tina. He said that DP's brother and sister and other relatives are there with him and the two children.

Geraldo interviewed Ric Sims in the backseat of a car. Ric said he's fearful because DP called him and said "You switched sides on me." He said it was a brief phone call. He said he feels DP is responsible for Stacy's disappearance, and DP might consider him a threat.

Cassandra is Stacey's sister. She went their to get her and Stacey's older sisters ashes that died of cancer last year. Kathleen was buried and will be exhumed.

Geraldo showed a brief clip of the interview of Anna Marie Doman, sister of Kathleen Savio, by Mark Fuhrman.

Then he brought on Melissa and Charley Doman, niece and nephew of Kathleen Savio - children of Anna M. Doman. They explained about the briefcase Kathleen left with their mother saying if anything ever happened to her to open the briefcase as there was documents in it. They both feel their aunt was murdered.

Geraldo then brought in Steve Carcerano, the neighbor who went into the house with DP and Kathleen's best friend (Mary) and who found Kathleen in the bathtub. Charley Doman was a bit upset, saying he's never heard of Steve Carcerano before. That DP told the family that Kathleen's body was found by her best friend, Mary, and Mary's son, Nick.

Right now, Geraldo is interviewing the medical experts about the autopsy report.

Heres something that happend to me when I first came back to town in JULY.

My sister emailed Roger Claar the next day. It was kind of sweeped under the rug.

I disagree with this author's side stepping the issues at hand. If there had been more public outrage after the Kathleen's death or better yet more outrage at Drew Peterson not following the RA's in place then maybe she and, more than likely, Stacy, wouldn't be dead.

It is very easy to sit back and grant blanket privilege to people with ultra suspicious behavior and not question. If we don't question what then becomes of our legal system? What then becomes of the victims who have suffered the ultimate..their lives? And, justice wouldn't prevail while some go about wringing their hands over accusations.

Ok, here is why the odds are stacked against Drew Peterson.

1) If Stacy left for "another man" as he claims, don't ya think the family of the "man" she left with would know that he is with the wife of a cop and that the story is NATIONAL NEWS and they would have came forward by now?

2) Her picture is all over the place now, not just Illinois. The story is gaining momentum like a runaway snowball and SOMEONE would have seen her by now if she were indeed missing.

3) By all accounts, this is COMPLETELY out of character for Stacy. Her family said she was in contact with them all the time. Furthermore, she loves those kids and I doubt that is the legacy (leaving town for another man) she wants to leave them with.

Heck, she took care of his kids from previous marriages like they were her own.

It is not about could this just be bad luck. It is about probability. What is the probability of all three of the scenarios I laid out actually favoring Drew Peterson?

I left KS out intentionally just so you can see the odds of this happening WITHOUT even bringing her up.

None of this looks good at all for him.

Secondly, Geragos would be 100% correct if he said that. None of us know if DP really did any of this.

However, the facts of the case thus far do not favor him one bit. Stacy, from what we know, needs to feel safe and secure. DP, as a cop, probably gave her that feeling.

So she meets some guy out of the blue, says nothing to anyone in the family about him and then says one day: "I think I will leave my husband and children behind and not say a word about it".

IMO another issue is there appears to be some crooked cops around. Hopefully, this case will dig deeper than DP.

I having a nagging feeling that when all is said and done, this case is going to have many different aspects. It's probably going to involve murder, crooked police, cover-ups by higher authorities, and likely a ME who was inept at his job or paid off. There's just too many questions regarding the death of wife #3, and these are questions that should have been addressed at the time of her death, not nearly 4 years later.

By all media reports, Stacy has a close relationship with her sisters. If she DID run off with another man, and seeing the nation-wide media attention and grief of her family members, she would have called one of them and told them she's okay.
