I just mapquested the address (from my house).... it's about 2 and a half hours of driving. It shouldn't be bad traffic, because it would be a Saturday morning. However, I don't think I could be there so early. If you show up late, will someone be able to tell me where to go?

Have any searches been conducted at Joliet Junior College? The college where Stacy Peterson took nursing classes.
I googled the address, 1215 Houbolt Rd, Joliet, IL 60431, and I see there is a fairly large body of water immediately behind the college as well as a couple of woodsy areas bordering the campus.
Taking into account statements by Drew along the lines of "she's where she wants to be" and "she ran off with another man" along with authorities focusing on bodies of water, I think the college perimeters and the water at the rear of the campus warrant a look.

Joliet Junior College has a HUGE wooded campus and there are lots of farm fields around it too. I believe there's a creek running through it or near it as well. I'm familiar with the campus as I've taken a few math courses there as well as my motorcycle rider program course.
The large body of water you're speaking of is East of the college (actually in front of it) and it's the Des Plaines River. There's a riverboat on it, the Empress Joliet Casino.
ETA: The Lower Rock Run Forest Preserve is just North of the college and has a body of water there. This is the creek I was referring to. If you drive onto the campus and make a right, you will take a curving road that takes you on the northern edge of campus. You cross a SMALL bridge, and this bridge is over that body of water. Pretty secluded back there. The only building there is the main administration building (with the bookstore, testing centers, etc.) but that building has a fair amount of traffic in and out of it until at least 10 p.m.

The Illinois State Patrol Is Asking The St. Louis County Search Squad For Help
The St. Louis County search and rescue squad has been called to assist in one of the most talked about cases in the country today.
23–year–old Stacy Peterson of Illinois has been missing for over two weeks.
The Illinois State Patrol contacted the St. Louis County Rescue Squad due to its expertise and advanced equipment.
"We've been very successful in search efforts here in St. Louis County and in Northeastern MN and I think the authorities in Illinois are aware of our track record," said St. Louis County Sheriff Ross Litman.

The family of Stacy Peterson searched for the missing woman again Saturday, but the cold weather made the outdoor hunt more difficult.
About 75 people scoured a park near Peterson's Bolingbrook home, but the brush was thick and had ice in some patches, said Beverly Baridon, 53, a volunteer from Wheaton.

Search set for Stacy and Lisa
Volunteers will comb new territory Saturday for any trace of two missing local women.
It has been more than a month since Bolingbrook mother Stacy Peterson vanished, and seven months since Plainfield mom Lisa Stebic disappeared.
Volunteers are asked to meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at Westbrook Christian Church, 1175 Lily Cache Lane in Bolingbrook. State police will point them to new search areas, planners say.
Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy's family, said they are planning to hold a candlelight vigil outside the Peterson house at 4 p.m. Saturday.
"We're not just looking for Stacy," Bosco said, mentioning Stebic.

Snow snarls search for missing Chicago-area woman
The people searching for any signs of Stacy Peterson are through for the day. Today's search for the 23-year-old woman who went missing in October was called off after about four hours due to snow and sleet in the Chicago area.
Before that, more than 200 people scoured areas outside Romeoville today, looking for any sign of the missing woman.

Family and friends of four missing suburban residents gathered to hand out fliers informing people of their missing loved ones.
Originally, the families of Stacy Peterson, Lisa Stebic, Bradley Olsen and John Spira planned to search for any trace of Spira.
He last was seen near North Avenue and Country Farm Road in West Chicago on Feb. 23.
However, the recent snow canceled the search.
“I have a lot of hope that we’ll find him,” Spira’s sister Stephanie McNeil said. “I don’t have a lot of hope that we’ll find him alive.”
Instead, families and friends of the four pamphleted the area with information about the four and other missing people.

Yes they are back full force and today they are supposedly using sonar devices to continue the water searches as well as the land searches.
I just have a feeling it won't be long now until Cass is able to bring Stacy home to rest in peace.

I'm not sure which thread to post this to, but after debating I feel this is the right one.
I have paste and copied a portion of a search teams maunevers in searching for a body in cold water temperatures. This team is located in another state, but I immediately thought of Stacy while reading it. I asked for permission to post it here and received it.
For me, it helped on how a body "reacts" in a river, lake, etc. I think the area that Stacy is beleived to be in is also considered a "cold water" river.
From the article;
Uhler’s search includes three main functions: attaching a boat to a high-line rope system and dropping a camera into the water around the falls and near the footbridge; sending two teams along the shoreline to search debris piles with probes; and searching the river’s eddies, the outer corners where water becomes slow-moving.
“There is clearly a good reason to believe we could locate a person if they were a victim of the river,” he said. “The river is very predictable.”
When a person falls into a cold-water current like the Otter Creek in February, the process is always the same, Uhler explained. A body will descend through three phases, known as the top, middle and bottom load. If the person is conscious, he will remain in the top load longer as he fights the current. If he is unconscious, or cannot beat the current, he will sink to the middle load and finally the bottom.
“If there’s a lot of debris in the river a person’s clothes can become ensnared in the debris,” Uhler said.
In warmer water, a body would become more buoyant, rise to the surface and begin moving on the current. But in the Otter Creek’s cold water, it’s unlikely a body would travel far from where it entered the river, Uhler explained.
“In a matter of one to two minutes he could have gone from top load to bottom load, especially with the current,” he said. “With the cold water conditions we have now, once a person becomes trapped in a certain area in the river, they would probably stay there for a while.”
